All I gotta say is that the acting in this was superb. This movie def gets your brain thinking. That's a good thing!

Cloud Atlas is a convoluted story, told in non-sequential bits (it jumps around in time, although each of the multiple story lines is told in order, they cross over each other and it may take some a while to figure out what is happening and how everything connects). Tom Hanks, of course, does his usual bang up job. The characters are engaging, the story (once you get it) is good and the special effects are understated but good. B+

If you want movie reviews, there are places for that. What I can say about the physical product is that it was in good condition and it played in my BluRay player. I didn't try the DVD nor have I tried downloading the UltraViolet digital file. I also haven't explored any extra features of the disc, so I can't say whether they are well done. BluRays and other discs are usually commodity products, with the real difference being the movie which is on them.

Big backlog. Haven't had a chance to see yet, but, seriously - Tom Hanks? Never saw a bad Tom Hanks movie

Cloud Atlas is an ambitious movie adaptation of an equally ambitious novel. You follow a thread of continuity between the characters through time and space.Tom Hanks and Halle Berry adopt many different iterations of their characters through the arc of the story. While it seems sometimes confusing, there are lessons to be learned about the connections between characters that time cannot diminish. Different and thought provoking.

It’s a great movie, a little involved to follow at first. Multiple viewings generally uncover missed details.

Cloud Atlas is not the best movie ever made. Nor it is the worst, not by a long shot. I does give you pause and does make you think, a little bit. No where near the thinking an pondering you are left with when done experiencing The Matrix, for example. But it's not Bill and Ted's Big Adventure either. It is not a movie I will watch very often. But I will watch it again sometime in the not too distant future.

So mind boggling. Definitely a must watch 3+time to fully understand and enjoy all the elements

Cloud atlas is hard to talk about as it is so unique. This is a common theme in my reviews as I HATE spoilers of any kind. That being said, if you enjoy grandiose story lines, genre spanning subject matter, and great cinematography, this is for you. My only caveat is if you are reading this review you are obviously online on the product page, so just add it to your cart immediately as this can be annoyingly troublesome to find in stock in an actual store.

Several vignettes told from various times in the past, present and future. terrific acting by all involved, but I'm sorry, it was just too distracting for my comfort. It was hard to tell if the stories were different or if they were just told at different time frames. I believe the theme was about making personal sacrifices for the good of mankind. At 2 and a half hours, it should have at least held my interest. It did not.

The plot is really great. Enticing, exciting to watch! I also really loved the packaging!

What a divisive movie this is. I enjoy it, and it's one of those movies that get better the more times you watch it. I know people that have seen it and loved it, as well as a few who wanted to give up on it half way through. It's a movie that stays with you and makes you think, and for that reason alone it's interesting. If you like to shut your mind off when you watch movies, I urge you to skip Cloud Atlas.

This is definitely not your typical Hollywood studio, sci-fi film. Action scenes are few and the total run time is nearly 3hrs. That said, this is a fascinating movie for the overall concept and acting, with each lead playing multiple characters set in different times. It's quite a commitment of a viewing but worth it for the stunning visuals and for how the complex story unfolds.

At times the storyline was hard to follow as it jumped from different times and places following the same souls? as they are reborn and live their life searching for the lost love of another lifetime. The title is deceiving since it talks about a piece of music and not a city or existence in the clouds.

"it is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma." It fascinates in the moment. It's getting from one moment to the next that is tricky. The movie didn't appeal to me in theaters and upon first watch, but after a second viewing it made much more sense and I thoroughly enjoyed it...but it did take more than viewing to get into this movie.

A great movie and I got it cheap too at Best Buy so I’m happy

Conveniently cheap for a DVD. The price was worth it.
