They were OK, a little spotty but OK. I was hoping to get much better connection.

These are very nicely made and best of all they are rechargeable

I bought these for a road trip with several famlies (much quicker to use than a cell phone and can converse with a larger group). They worked well for keeping everyone in contact. They held a charge for several says, they are easy to use, and they take up very little space. Only knock on them was the distance at which they still worked clearly.

Aside from interference from job sites, office parks, business campuses, etc., that use radios with the common channel frequencies that I pass by in the dual passenger compartment vehicle that I drie for which I purchased these, they are definitely worth the money especially since you get three instead of two. No charger base but individual rechargeable aaa's which can be used for anything else. 9 total rechargeable AAA's. Anything running off a USB power cable that can also either be powered with rechargeable AAA's can charge the batteries while the device is plugged in. Not sure if it has the same features as a true weather radio, but it has a solid thorough repeat weather broadcast channel stating current temp, wind, and precipitation for the major US cities. I'm sure a weather emergency would be reported intermittently.

I used these on a roadtrip with my wife following me in her own car. They worked great and didn’t let us down at all for the roadtrip. However we tested them out about a mile away from each other in residential areas and weren’t able to get them to reach that far. Signal isn’t nearly as strong as the packaging leads you to believe and the volume isn’t very loud. Other than that, they’re reliable and easy to use!

Great for the price but it seems like you need a clear line of sight for best use. Speaker volume is a little low. Perfect size to just shove in a pocket and go!

16 miles? Maybe in the desert where there are no trees and the ground is flat. Definitely not 16 miles of range in the Mid- Atlantic region. Size is convenient. Signal varies at Snowshoe Mountain Resort. Was hoping the range could reach from top of mountain to the lower runs and lifts but the voice part did not. Batteries lasted on full day before needing a charge. These are better than the old ones we had but still not quite what we were hoping for. Glad we bought them on sale.

I purchased these more for fun than anything, allowing myself and my two kids to each have one around the house and for playing outside etc. There are many factors that can cause interference and range-reduction, but in my experience the range was only about 100 yards with minimal obstruction. It may be an issue only with my units, or perhaps another explanation for greater signal-interference specific to my house/yard, but I ended up returning.

I picked up these to use while driving in convoy moving stuff across states and we were very well connected. Works well and has good battery life to take you through the day with intermittent contact.

Nice and compact, but power and volume don't seem adequate at times.

We have three young boys and this buy was a hit. We use it everywhere and for everything. Our boys went nuts with this. Easy to use. Battery life is not the greatest but they recharge quickly. We got the warranty just in case they broke. Works from long distances as well. Great for camping.

Good enough to use for mobile intercom system in the house and yard. They take a long time to charge and I don’t see a “done charging” signal. When they did it stops sending messages and turns off without much warning

They definitely are not long range. Didn’t expect them to do so, but since they claim I had to let you know. Maybe a mile if you’re lucky with no obstruction. You can get a block or two out of them and that’s it. Battery life is only a day even with mild use. Fine as a toy but wouldn’t get these if you are expecting to really use them.

Battery lasts quite a bit, but isn't very loud. Unfortunately not useful if my staff can't hear each other in a semi quiet warehouse/or when other people are around. Will return. :(

Works as promised. Controls are handy. Two things that I wish were better: The USB charging cord that comes with it splits into two. It would be nice if it split into three. The second thing is that the call beep is WAY louder than the voice coming over air. It would be cool if they were more closely matched. Every time you adjust the volume, there is a beep, gauging the volume level, but it is nowhere near the volume you'll hear a voice.

We haven't been able to use these as intended because of Covid-19 stay at home orders but they were easy to operate when we did a little test. Knocked off a star because I would like to be able to turn off the beep when you press and release the talk button. When we get a chance to use them, if I feel different I will edit review.

These handheld radios are a good buy for the price. They have good range and solid sound quality. They’re also very easy to use.

We are not newbies to this type of items. I bought these for my kids because it was a three pack. Unfortunately, the charger they provide can only charge two at one time. We did have another micro usb charging cable but that isn’t cool. I had read reviews that the coverage was far shorter than the 11 miles advertised. I wasn’t too concerned because I figured they would only use them around the house until my husband sent my son out for a bike ride around the neighborhood with one. It didn’t even reach a mile out! These two huge flaws aside, the build quality is pretty nice. Be prepared when you buy. If you can live with these drawbacks, they are fine for the price. Otherwise, you can spend another $20 to get better range.
