For novice radio users, it's important to know you basically need visual line of sight for clear communication. You won't get 25-40 miles (or whatever) in most conditions. Because... well... physics. As long as you know that... then they work great. My kids (4, 5, & 7) enjoy them as toys.. and it can help to stay in touch with them if they're roaming the neighborhood.

So, I wasted MY money, and your product wasn't put to the use it was meant to be used for. I will remain a customer but will think twice who I am actually buying for. the person who got these will be getting less than perfect next time, if I even decide to buy them a Christmas gift EVER again. Won't pick up channels from different brand of wal
