    Fantastic Cut, A Couple Flaws

The Conair Close-Cut Precision clippers are great overall. I'd really like to give them 4.25 stars if I could. They perform well, the battery is good, and the form factor is good. The kit has the clippers, eight guards, scissors, oil, a cleaning brush, blade guard, charging cable, a USB block, and a storage bag. I have an undercut, and I've been using some old corded clippers. These Conair clippers quickly go through my thick hair without slowing down or plugging up. They are very smooth. They feel good in the hand and have some weight to them, which lends to the feel of a quality build. The grip is textured so they are easy to hold. Eight plastic guards can be attached, but there is also an adjustment on the clippers, which fine-tunes the length a bit. This was handy for me because I feel like 3mm is too short and 6mm is not short enough, so that little bit of adjustment made it more like 4mm with the 3mm guard. There are some flaws for me, which is why I rated it four instead of five stars. First, I like that these clippers charge with a USB cable since it is easier to obtain a charging cable if you lost yours or are traveling and forgot it. The downfall, though is that for some reason, Conair decided to use Micro USB. This is a dying standard, and even $20 or less gadgets from online vendors are using USB-C for most electronics made today. Even the iPhone 15 will be USB-C. This was certainly not a deal-breaker for me, just a gripe. Sticking with the charging theme, you cannot use these while they are plugged in. This is a definite flaw since most people are not using clippers like this very often, nor are they taking up valuable bathroom wall plug space by leaving them plugged in all the time. So you will need to make sure you charge them accordingly so you are not left with a half-trimmed head, lol. Lastly, the plastic guards are too long. It may not be an issue for everyone, but it is a bit of an issue for me. I mentioned I have an undercut, and it is difficult to get the part of the undercut that is closest to the longer hair because the guards stick out so far. They get into the long hair and can move them out of place, potentially in the way of the blades. I had to trim it up with a small grooming clipper. As I said, they are great overall. The good outweighs the bad/annoying by far. I would recommend them to anyone who still uses corded clippers.

The clippers out the box come charged and I used them with no problem. Still has some juice. They cut nice and close, not bald but close enough. They look shiny and durable, and it has a nice weight to it. No pinching as well on the skin when cutting. These don’t get heavy as you’re clipping. The cordless is so refreshing to have and again they are quiet. The taper level knob does make noise when switching but that’s it. They cut very professional, meaning it’s not missing spots. They don’t vibrate while cutting so your hands won’t feel numb after a long period and they don’t get hot. The grip and feel of these adds to the amazement of this clippers, especially with being cordless. Not slippery at all so when you’re cutting at different angles, you have no fear of them dropping. They come with nice guards, scissors and a nice travel bag and charger of course. I haven’t tested the battery in full but there was no low battery warning while cutting my hair. This are uniquely comfortable and the motor is strong and quiet. You cannot go wrong with these!

My wife has been cutting my hair for eighteen years and we have owned the same clipper for all those years. When she cut my hair the first time with the ConairMan it was very pleasant for me, extremely quiet, especially compared to my older clipper. I watch TV while she cuts and trims my hair, with the older product had to crank the volume up on the TV to listen. My first impression with ConairMan, which surprised me was that I could listen to TV at an enjoyable volume, quiet clipper operation. My second and third impressions were the clipper head did not heat up so that it was uncomfortably hot against my skin and the combs did not dig into my skin. All in all, it was a very nice experience. As it is said, the proof is in the pudding; wife was happy to use the new ConairMan system and to put away the old one. Her words, not mine. Highlights: 1. Cordless – Rechargeable. 2. Lightweight – Easy to handle. 3. Smooth, cuts and trims hair evenly. 4. Haircut takes less time. 5. Layer cut is simple to achieve. 6. Curved Comb Guides – Remarkable design compared to smaller flat combs – Combs moves along curvature of head smoothly. 7. Five Level Taper Control lever. Very cool and easy to use. 8. Full set of attachments. 9. The quality of the build and newer technology is exceptional. For months had been wanting my air layered and cut shorter which was a bit elusive with our older clipper, effortlessly with the new model. The ConairMan is a Professional Quality Hair Clipper and Trimmer system. With the comfort of the cut, ease of use for my wife and excellent hair cut I give ConairMan a Solid Five Stars.

This is hands down the best hair trimmer I've used. I was waiting for this to arrive and unfortunately, cut my hair two days prior to it finally arriving ( little delay ). My hair was getting too long to wait. I wanted to test it out as soon as it arrived so I decided to cut the rest of my hair off without any attachment on the trimmer. Wow. What a smooth, quick cut this was. Usually i have to go over my head a few times because some stragglers are left, but with these, this was not the case. They advertise 7000 rpm and you can really tell just how fast the blades move/cut. There are plenty of attachment options to fit all your needs too as well as a nice traveler/holder case for it. It has your typical attachments, scissors, brush to clean the blades, little bottle to greese things up. The actual trimmer itself is the most comfortable one I've ever used. The handle and grip is perfect. Feels extremely comfortable to hold and unlike old school trimmers, is not some awkward shape Charging uses a standard Micro USB charger. I charged it as soon as it arrived, probably for 30 minutes. Not sure how much charge this provies but it got me through my cut without any hiccups or slow down due to battery depleting. If you are looking for a well built, designed and equipped hair trimmer at a great value, look no further.

Close-Cut Precision Professional Lithium-Ion High-Performance Metal Clipper & Trimmer are a good set for intermediate and even pro barbers for a clean cut beard. It’s quite precise and not as loud as you would think because of the size of the clippers. Which brings me to holding the clippers. I don’t have huge hands so these clippers feel ok but has a better feel in a man’s hands that are a little bigger. Ergonomic set. Very well made. The batter life is good also. I just make a habit of charging it weekly and I don’t have to worry about the battery running low. So the motor power in this kit is perfect and not under powered at all. Does the job you need it to do with all the durable guard options. The settings also help with a close shave but can’t get skin close. This is truly a trimming device. Is comes with charging cords and a charging block which I keep at home or throw in the bag when I’m traveling. The scissors are ok but not barber quality like other pieces in the set.

This is what I would call a complete electric shaving kit with a few caveats. What I do like is the sturdy build, numerous head attachments for length, long battery life and most important is the adjustable razor lever which allows you to adjust how close you want a shave from the main blade itself. It uses standard USB charging which makes it able to plug in and charge just about anywhere. It includes a standard detachable USB cable and charger too. It has a VERY large battery and charging ability for long use and it arrived already partially pre-charged ready for use. It has a passable soft case to hold everything for storage and travel. A small brush and oil is also included to keep it clean and the blades well oiled. One issue many may have is the handle is oversized versus many other clippers so holding it and using it may present a problem for fine motor use. I have big hands so it wasn't much of a problem but I let my daughter give it a try and she immediately complained at how large and unwieldy the handle/grip was and it was difficult to hold and use versus the pair of clippers I gave her to use or even the Remington. As for actual use experience, luckily I was in need of some body grooming and facial trimming so this gave me the perfect opportunity to test it against my tried and true Remington which has served me faithfully for well over 6 years. The Conair clearly has better build quality which I very much like. The main electric blade is stronger and sturdier and moves at a faster speed. It looks and performs almost like a pair of professional clippers. What is lacking is the deeper and closer edging cut ability of a set of T-Liners that will give you those ultra close shave and line edging. For body grooming beware as you can still nip and cut yourself as these do not have a guard level on the main blade like some true body clippers have. While testing them on body grooming purposely trying different angles I clipped myself bad enough to draw blood so be aware you will need to keep the blade flat and steady versus real body trimmers which have protective means built in to prevent accidental skin cuts and abrasions. My beard needed a bit of grooming so I used one of the head attachments for a fixed length shave to level and even out my beard and they worked every well. If you are the type that likes a shadow for a beard, these will especially shine not only for the extra set of attachments but the manually adjustable main razor itself to dial in the level of shadow you desire. This is a major plus that is lacking in my Remington and makes the Conair set lean more towards professional grade. Outside of lack of true T-liner ability (can not cut or line as close), body grooming protection mechanisms or the potentially problematic oversized base/handle for some with smaller hands, these handle and cut as well has several other brands I've tested and used and are on par with my Remington's which is high praise. I will be slowly moving these into my primary use set as they work very well as a day to day set of clippers. .

Very nice professional hair shaver / trimmer. This is handy being cordless with Lithium Ion battery - no cord to get tangled during use. The 1000Ma charger and cord are included. However, the one problem I encountered was the charger cable would not plug into the trimmer. Luckily, I did have another new cable, and it fit and charged perfectly. Although the upper cover looks to be plastic, it seems to be sturdy The rest looks to be metal construction. The handle is a knurled metal. Quality is also apparent with the cutter blades and attachments. The actual cutter blades are 3.5MM Japanese stainless steel. The cutter blade has a 5 detent taper control. This can allow different lengths when using the trimmer without any comb guide. The kit includes a carry pouch, barber scissors, blade guard, lubricating oil and brush for cleaning and maintenance. There are also eight included guide combs from 1/32 inch to 3/4 inch. While running, the trimmer is fairly quiet and comfortable to hold. Cutting is effortless, and with the different combs, getting professional results is easy to achieve.

In-between a home and professional trimmer!

If you're looking for a general cordless trimmer for top-of-head hair trimming/home haircuts, this trimmer definitely does the trick! With a decently powerful, broad length blade, this trimmer is works well for trimming hair both on the top of your head and beard hair, but is definitely best utilized for head hair. For beard trimming/maintenance, a smaller, higher-end or more precise trimmer would definitely be a better choice, as the trimmer's blade can become hot to the touch after prolonged use, and the blades are far too large/spaced apart to get a close trim. It's doable though if you're in a pinch! You can adjust the trimmer's "closeness" (for close trims) with the lever on the side of the unit, which can allow for more precise trims for any type of hair (but keep in mind that if you're looking for a close beard trim that this likely won't make a difference). The manual comes with instructions for maintaining the trimmer with the included brush and oil, as well as instructions for how to use the trimmer to achieve many different hair styles. To accompany this, the trimmer has many trimmer head attachments that come with it in the box to achieve the exact length trim you're looking for, as well as styling scissors for if you need it and a carrying case! The trimmer also has decent build quality with a nice, thick metal handle and reflective finishes if you're looking for a nice looking trimmer to buy. I would say that if you're really into giving yourself or anyone you're close to shorter haircuts, this would be a good buy!

These clippers are aesthetically very nice and include all the standard attachments and accessories. The storage bag is also pretty nice, with plenty of room to hold everything and more. The round handle grip of the clippers is nice and it certainly allows for a more secure grip when handling them. After testing the clippers out, I’m still indifferent on whether I prefer this smaller, round grip over the common rectangular body that most clippers typically have. I tested these clippers out on my husband’s hair. I routinely cut his hair for the sake of convenience and it saves him money. He keeps a fairly simple cut, with shorter sides that fade into a longer top. When cutting his hair, I had to keep making more passes than normal in order to get everything cut to length. He has denser hair so I’m use to having to make a couple passes over each section with his other clippers, but we both felt that it was worse with these clippers. When running the clippers across his head, he would flinch occasionally and said it felt like I was pushing the attachment into his head. Afterwards I realized that the attachments had a concave curve on the cutting plane while his old clippers were flat (see attached pictures). While I believe the idea behind the concaved cutting plane was to allow for smoother traveling across his head, this was not the case when in use. It’s possible that it was due to human error on my part, but I didn’t see any benefit to the curvature of the attachment so it was more annoying than anything. (Had I been extra careful to cater to the curvature of the attachment, it probably would have been an even slower haircut.) The battery life of these clippers seems to be pretty good. I was able to finish the cut without the clippers dying. I’m unsure how many cuts in a row these could handle before the battery dies, but I did discover that the clippers will not run when plugged in so a user is out of luck once the battery drains. This is a negative to me because his old clippers are also cordless, but they can still be ran even when plugged in. (Additionally, the charging cord is long enough to allow for use while plugged in.) Overall, these clippers gave an average performance and at this price point, I feel like there are better clippers out there.

Proper tools for dad to cut the family hair

The pandemic created numerous challenges from big to small. I wasn't so concerned about a haircut as people weren't going at as much, however, as the world began to open back up I was surprised with the knowledge that my barber had unfortunately closed up shop. I tried going to a few different barbers but found them all to be unreliable and very expensive -- $40 for a men's haircut and $30 for my son? No thank you. I purchased some cheap clippers, not knowing any better, and learned quickly that hair clippers are not all made the same. I would try to cut my son's hair and would need to go over the same area repeatedly and it still came out jagged and uneven. So back to the barber I would go -- however, I noticed that my son's barber used a much more powerful set of clippers. I took mental notes about the numbers that he used and then I tried to cut my son's hair again, but with this set of Conair Professional clippers. From a naming convention, the word "Professional" stands out in the title of this trimmer. It has substantially more power than any other electric trimmer that I've used -- there is no doubt the 7,000 rpm motor allows hair to be cut cleanly and consistently throughout. Even though this is battery powered (which is a great benefit since I need to walk around my son due to not having a barber chair) it can run for two hours on one charge. Not that I need to use it very long, as I don't need to go over my work multiple times. Finally, there are 8 different guards ranging from 1/32" to 3/4" with an additional lever on the trimmer itself that helps fade in 5 different lengths without the need to change the guard. All of this is contained in a convenient case with a guard, scissors, a cleaning brush, and oil. And not that style matters, but has a very metal (weighted) feel and neither looks or feels cheaply made. I've even found cutting my own hair to be substantially easier -- still working on it, but it's been a life-saver during shaggier days.

These clippers are very easy to use, but I wish that it had USB C for the charging. Also the bag doesn't have any separators to hold things separately. The battery charge seems good enough to hold through at least one haircut. Did not feel like it was running out of juice during it.
