Customers frequently mention the customizable RGB backlighting and the pleasant key feel as significant positives. The keyboard's quality and the responsive Gateron Red switches also receive considerable praise, with many users finding them comparable to higher-end options. Positive feedback highlights the keyboard's suitability for both gaming and typing. While some users appreciate the optional software, its presence or absence doesn't appear to be a major factor in overall satisfaction.

The kid bought this for his gaming rig and liked the feel and travel of the keys. However, I find the keys to be spaced to far away from one another and the travel to be to long.
While it may be a good gaming option, I would recommend another keyboard for writting etc.

This keyboard is pretty sweet. I really like the feel of the mechanical switches. I would say that it feels equal to or better than some of the higher priced models. When I was in the store looking at my options I noticed that this was the only model that had RGB lights on each key and didn't cost more than $100. Compared to the HyperX, Steelseries, and Corsair boards for around the same price, you get way more features on the CM one. The top panel is a really cool brushed aluminum that makes the board look premium compared to the plastic on other models. The keys are also floating so when I get my Cheetos dust and chicken tendie crumbs on my board it is easy to clean. I am really happy with it so far and feel like that at the $80 price point there isn't anything better.

Spectacular entry level RGB mechanical keyboard

I honestly can't say a negative thing about this board. Coming from a standard membrane keyboard, this is a huge improvement. Typing on this is a dream and isnt much loader than my old one. The linear switches are a dream to type on and even better to game on. I play mostly FPS games and these switches make pressing from any place on a key as smooth as butter and a huge improvement from my last membrane.
When it comes to the RGB, with so many options and ways of controlling them from either on-board keys or software, it really doesn't get better than this, especially in this price point.
Overall, if you are at all interested in mechanicals, this should be your go to keyboard. Plus, the price at my local store was actually a couple bucks cheaper than listed online.

bought it on sale, otherwise would not even have considered it. For a gaming keyboard...no gaming keys. RGB is confusing on this keyboard. Not bad...but not worth full price.

Far Exceeded Expectations

This keyboard is by far the best value around for a high quality mechanical gaming keyboard. From my experience testing so many in stores, the gateron red keys just feels smoother and easier than Cherry mx reds, TBH most other do as well. The RGB lighting is fully customizable and I mean very customizable. The presets alone are plentiful and everything you would expect from a top tier keyboard. It is a minimalist style keyboard so no extra keys for macro, or extra media controls, though they are function keys for all of that. One Great feature it has is every key can be remapped. Very cool to have. It lacks a wrist rest but i prefer a memory foam/gel pad to the attached ones anyways. I have to say I oddly enough like others who switch to mechanical, love to type on it. Its very comfortable to type on. The keys have little wobble, its a metal frame with good weight to it.
This keyboard tbh was never on my radar, until recently when my bestbuy actually stock this one. I was almost deadset on the corsair k70 lux keyboard.... Until I saw this $80 gem. Could not test it in store just could hit the arrow keys in the box, but I said "Why not, its got everything I want, its cheap and I need a keyboard to replace my on its last leg G15." Just wow after that. For me it rivals the K70 for comfort and value.

Smooth and Solid

I got this keyboard not too long ago, and I'm hooked! I never really used mechanical keyboards before, but it was time to try it out, and I didn't know what I was missing! The keys feel great and responsive, just enough push-back to give some great sensitivity on the WASD keys. It's backlit so I don't have to squint when typing or gaming in a darker room, and the software lets you turn down the brightness a little for folks with sensitive eyes, like myself. The full RGB brightness was pretty staggering at full power, but hey, if that's what you like, blast them colors! As horribly cliche' as it sounds, the CK552 is form, function, and solid for a decent price! (golf claps in Cooler Master's general direction)

I was recently looking to get my first mechanical keyboard and I decided to go with this one. Such an incredible keyboard for the price! It has Gateron Red switches which people say they are smoother than cherry's, it is made of plastic and aluminum so it feels like great quality, has RGB lighting and has the numpad! Overall probably the best deal on a keyboard especially if it is on sale. It also has very little to no branding if you like a nice clean look. This is probably the best keyboard to get as a first mechanical keyboard!

This is genuinely a really good keyboard. It seems durable and reliable. It works perfect with games. The thing is is that it's not for me. If you are looking for a mechanical keyboard with clicky keys this is not the board for you unfortunately. The switches, while good, have zero click when depressed. The keys are super smooth and quiet. For me this is a no go. I might as well be typing on a non mech keyboard. This destroys the typing experience for me. Now if you are looking for a mech keyboard with all the customization you'd want, smooth, super quiet, click-less key switches, durable and reliable this is a great board. I just prefer clicky keys. I'm looking into seeing if i can swap out the switches because if i can get some clicky switches in there this board would be perfect for me. Other wise you should totally buy it.

And I am absolutely blown away by this thing. I was comparing this one and the Logitech G413 and decided this was the way to go. So I run a Mac and wanted to get a keyboard I could find in person. This one's RGB's you can control WITHOUT a driver and Coolermaster doesn't have a Mac driver. There's already so many different things you can do with it. It feels amazing and the sound is lovely.

I've been wanting to get a mechanical keyboard and this one was a great price compared to others out there. I love typing and gaming with the gateron red switches; they're quick and responsive. I really like that you can add macro keys and customize the LED lights. The software is simple to use as well.

best in class compared to the rest, and have tried 10+ different keyboards
the switches are the best for hardcore RTS gamers (Starcraft)

This keyboard looks professional even as a non-gaming keyboard. Excellent tactile response. Fun to customize. Looks like it cost more than $100.
