Paired with a cooler this thing clocks very cool, and runs snappy. Coming from the 7700k, running a 3080 Suprim X, and running benchmark test, it finally seemed that my cpu was bottlenecking my GPU causing problems from what I was expecting. After upgrading to the 10850k and running the benchmark without clocking at all, performance was night and day almost marked 10k higher. Very good buy. I paid $399 for the chip, and compared to other comparable chips these days, it’s well worth the investment.

this was made because of the shortage of i9 10900k processors with just a 100mhz drop on the clock. honestly you cant tell the difference between this and the 10900k. just as fast and overclocks smoothly.. paired with my asus rog maximus hero z490 board and i get a smooth 44% overclock with a corsair aio 360 cooler.. cant go wrong as the price keeps dropping and will continue to do so when the new 11th gen comes out. faster than you will ever need gaming.. if youre doing rendering and 3d cad go with the amd threadrippers with the higher core count, but for gaming this is still the best bang for the buck.

This cpu was a big upgrade coming from a ryzen 2600x. It does get hot, so if you get this get a 240mm liquid cooler atleast. I say get the 280mm, but I got the cappelix 100i elite and I'm at 68c on full load at 5ghz. I had to get this cpu because I didn't want to get bottlenecked because I have a 3080. With this cpu and 3080 I'm getting around 80-100 fps in cyberpunk all ultra settings with dlss on quality and rtx psycho. If you can't find a ryzen 5900x reasonably priced get this you won't be disappointed.

After waiting for some months for 10900K to be available, I was happy to see that 10850K was made available. Clocks 100 MHz lower across the board vs 10900k, miles cheaper and actually available. With also BestBuy's price match, it was a a simple decision. Performance = Super. Haven't tried OC, most likely it will stay stock for a while. Paired up with 2 x 1080TI with 128GB memory! Awesome.

I wanted an AMD 5000 processor but no availability anywhere so I turned to Intel and they provided a 10 core 20 thread beast for less than AMDs 8 core chip. Not bad. It runs really hot though so make sure you have supple cooling. Currently has an all core overclock of 5Ghz @ 1.28 volts.

Mine does 5GHz no sweat. I mostly use the PC for gaming so this suits me perfectly. Go for this instead of the 10900k and save a few bucks.

I bought this as a replacement for a Ryzen CPU that went bad due to overheating. Not the fault of the CPU, but the case it was in was badly designed for airflow. But it did give me a chance to buy Intel again, which I have on all my other PCs. Paired with a Z490-E MBO along with my 3070 GPU in a Thermaltake Crystal case it all seems to work well so far. I use this PC primarily for work, but it needs to process a lot of data (big data queries) and it does it fast. Occasionally I will use it to play a game like Elden Ring and I have no problems with lag or dropped frames. So overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Very happy with this processor, heard good things about AMD but I’ve always trusted Intel as my processor and it has made me happy, 11/10.

Powerful cpu i overclocked it to 5.0 which is my personal preference, iloveit fast like nascarr.

Great 10 core cpu at a reasonable price. Installed it and immediately overclocked it to 5.2ghz and it began to power limit with the 240mm AIO that’s installed. Bumped it down to 5.1ghz and same results except it took 15 minutes of Prime95 stress testing before it hit Tjmax. I’m currently running it at a rock solid overclock of 5ghz with no power throttling on my current 240mm AIO with idle temps sitting at 37c and under full load 83c max. Also under full load aid64 reported a Max power draw of 250 watts. At least I know it’ll overclock easily to 5.2ghz with the proper cooling system (360mm AIO), in addition to bios tweaking and a under volt to help manage the heat this bad boy puts out.

I'm honestly quite happy with this processor, for a person who does iT for a living with virtual machines it does everything I need it to, I was thinking about going for the Ryzen 5900x but I ended up going with this because I got a steller deal from best buy plus you can't get ryzens anywhere. Who the heck needs PCI Express 4.0 that's meant for 4,000mbps+ drives which don't even benefit gamers to be exact. It's more meant for server use or copying large amount of files and extremely fast speeds, so before you buy do your research, there's really no point in getting a PCI Express 4.0 board right now especially because it's new. DDR5 is around the corner anyways promising 8000mhz ram speeds or more might as week get this if you are upgrading from a older ddr4 generation cpu, unless you want to wait for the DDR5 Era which will bring computing technology to a whole new next level. To be honest I'd recommend this i9 to anyone, literally the same thing as the 10900k besides alittle slower but with a small over clock works flawlessly. The 11th generation processors are slower then these, you all might as well pick these up before there gone.

Great processor. Fast, overclockable, and reasonably priced. This is definitely the better choice when compared to the 10900k. The biggest issue is simply buying it from Best Buy. When they shipped it to me, it was shipped 2 days late and in a bubble mailer via USPS First Class, which not only crushed the box but lost the package for a moment. An expensive processor should not ever be shipped in a bubble mailer and certainly not using first class mail.

This is an excellent processor. I am using a 280 mm all in one liquid cooler (Corsair) and have the processor overclocked to 4.9 GHz and have no issue with overheating/throttling. My case is well ventilated and adequate fans. The CPU runs neck to neck with a 10900K, which I also have been can be found at times to be significantly cheaper. If you are Intel, and have adequate cooling you will be pleased with the performance of this CPU.

Love this CPU. 10 cores/20 threads makes it great for multitasking, and it runs @ 5.2ghz boost with no problem. Runs cool, I have a 360mm AIO on it, and idles around 35c and peaks around 70c in hard gaming. Intel has always treated me well, and this will last until I upgrade for 13th gen and give this to my teenagers.

Probably the best value in processors at the moment. I am very pleased with my purchase. Runs at low temps, and provides excellent performance. Would definitely purchase again. My only small complaint is that it doesn't support pcie 4.0. Which isn't fair, because I knew this going into it. But that would be a legitimate reason to get an 11th gen processor over this.

Incredibly fast. Runs cool and over clocking is super easy and stable at 5.2GHz. The performance vs my old i7-8700k made it worth the buy. If you’re upgrading from older gen CPU don’t over spend on on the 10900k when the performance is very close.
