    My first ever liquid cooler

I have always been skeptical about water cooling and decided to get this cooler for my new build which uses an i7 4790K CPU. Setup and installation was a lot easier than I expected and it makes my layout look very clean. It very silent and it keeps my CPU around 28 degrees Celsius. I did come across some issues with it- the pipes are very thick and hard to position in the small case I was using- Corsair Carbide Air 240. I ended up positioning the thing in a way that made the logo upside down on my motherboard- if it was the other way the curved pipes would stick out not allowing me to close my case window. This does not bother me as much since my case window faces up. The link software was also questionable since it would not change my LED light at first. I had to re-download a newer version from their site and the lighting works fine now. Overall this is a solid cooler.

Don't recommend it. Worked fine for 6 mos, then stopped. Should have researched before buying. Don't buy Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2.

One of the better AIO coolers on the market. Threw this on my 6700k in a pull configuration on the top of my case and I get around 21 degrees on idle. I haven't tried overclocking it, so I can't provide any feedback on the OC temps. Like most other complaints, the stock cooler is really load under load. Not happy that I would have to spend a little extra on some Noctua NF-F12 fans to replace the stock ones and it does increase the final cost. The only regret is that I should have gotten the H110 version instead of the H100 since my phantom 530 does support the bigger radiator. I'll recommend this AIO to anyone who is building their first build since it was a quick installation that requires no tools.

After reading the horror stories of cooler lines breaking & difficult installs, I was leery to say the least. But I did research & found Corsair redesigned the model with high quality braided hoses. Plenty of length & flex to install in the 2 positions one would normally place it in. The cooler lines now mount in the top of the CPU block & the revamped hoses. Also revamped is the Corsair Link software for controlling the lights & fan speeds. I had a Corsair H60 & H80i, so I was familiar with the way Corsair coolers tend to fit. This was easier than I thought & had it installed in 30 minutes. I needed to replace my H80i due to it blocking airflow to my north bridge, not for any other reason. At 5 years old that cooler is still working fine! Corsair builds quality products & every PC I build has some in it. This cooler left me with no disappointments keeping my AMD 8150 OC'ed to 4.4GHZ at 26c idle 36c full load! For the nay sayers, the product has been redesigned down to the software. It works as well as the higher models for less. With any liquid cooler, care with how the lines are run in relation to the radiator & clearance inside the case all must be taken. This cooler is generally top mounted & the hoses do pivot & flex to a point! On mine, I noticed I needed to move the radiator forward about 1/2" to relieve pressure I was not comfortable with on the lines. The kit mounts quickly to Intel & AMD CPU's, but some case modifications may need to be done to fit this correctly. Corsair won't tell you this, but DO NOT connect the pump to the CPU header!! Many board won't put a full 12v to that plug no matter what. It should go to the SYS fan or power fan connector. If not, adapt it to connect to a nomex. Failure to do so will result in the pump running less than 3000 rpm which will result in poor cooling. You should also replace the stock thermal paste with one of your choosing, as from the factory the spread is too thin or not coating your CPU all the way causing hot spots. Any undertaking like this should be done with some knowledge as the instructions are very general. This obviously will not fit in most brand name PC's.

I am very pleased with this item. Easy set up and you can configure the fans in any way that you want. Keeps my machine running nice and cool and it pretty quiet as fans go. Perhaps it was a bit overkill for my build but I wasn’t to create positive air flow with multiple fans. Very happy!

I got this at Best Buy after the cheap fan I bought from Newegg broke on installation. This installed easily on my Asus motherboard on an AMD Ryzen processor. The system is self contained so you never have a mess loading coolant.

Great CPU cooler, have one on each of my builds. Runs quiet and keeps my CPU cold. Only suggestion is possible fan replacement as the bearings in one started to rattle 6 months after installation.

This thing is great! keeps my CPU SUPER cool, very low noise (some reviews said it's noisy...if installed correctly and all parts are functioning correctly, it's not that bad.) I would occassionally have issues when I"d overclock too much. Now with this cool, I have it pretty close to maxed out and it hasn't had any issues yet and still keeps super cool. Install was easy but it's a little awkward to try to hook everything up since the heatsink and cooler fan come pre-connected. All in all, very happy with this purchase.

System works as promised, its keeps my intel 5820k 6 core cpu cool at 35-40C (104F) keep the machine very quiet cant even hear the fans running even at full load. I would recommend this self-sustained cooling system to any beginner, advanced or expert in wanting to try water cooling for the first time. You will not be disappointed. you can even change the color of their LED light on the CPU cooler block using CorsairLINK software you can find on their website.

This cooler can keep my Core i7-5930K below 80C at full load even when over locked to 4.7GHz. What's more the noise level at full load is not super loud. It is noticeable like a hum but not like a whiny little fan. When not at full load the cooler is nearly silent. My idle temperature is 19C.

I purchased this product to help me achieve the highest stable overclock my Intel i7-4790K was capable. It certainly helps keep the processor temps lower than my air cooler. The included fans can get a bit loud at higher RPMs and the software has a bad habit of booting with them at 100% usage (while attached to the fan headers on the pump) until I interact with the software. Nonetheless, I am still pleased with my purchase and would buy it again if the need arises.

I have one of the newer faster processors, as you may know speed, wattage and processor cores can mean a lot more heat than older slower cpus of the past. I have been using an enormous air cooler in my system but the temps were marginal at best, I wanted something better both to prolong the life of my components and to allow for future overclocking if I wanted to experiment with that. Liquid cooling can be quite an investment for a custom system, I didn't want all that hassle so I started looking at products like this one. Corsair has a fantastic reputation mostly for their RAM products but they make other components as well these days. When purchasing a pre made sealed cooler like this product the first thing you do is make sure your case can accommodate it. The max size radiator my rosewill THOR case can handle is 240mm which is what this product provides but there are larger radiators and also some smaller square units for smaller systems, as you'd expect the bigger the radiator the better it cools. These work just like the radiator on your vehicle, liquid cycles past hot components then is cooled when it runs through the radiator which pulls the heat away by using fans and then it moves back through the loop. This installation was fairly painless, most sites recommend it to be installed in the top of the case with the fans pulling air through the radiator and out the top of the case. Corsair for some reason says you should pull outside air in with the fans and not exhaust case air through the radiator and out the top, I am playing with that one, it's a simple matter to flip the fans over if you want to. The biggest issue is to be sure you can attach the pump to the top of the cpu, the hoses are heavy and a bit stiff if your case has a side window this product has a light on top of the pump and apparently you can get a kit to change that led color if you want to. The unit smacks of quality and the fans are very quiet and move a good amount of air. I am not that concerned with fan noise but some folks might be. You will need only one fan header as there is a splitter for two 3 pin fans. You will also need an internal USB header on the motherboard, you attach a cable to this that has a mini (not micro) usb connector that plugs into the pump to provide power. In the old days I was worried about the concept of water around my expensive components but this product apparently uses some sort of vegetable oil like substance that will not short out your motherboard if it should happen to leak. In reading reviews there are almost no reports of hose/radiator failures but it's probably a good idea to take a good look periodically. All I know is that my cpu temps went from a reported 50+C with air cooling to a reported 19 to 30C under heavy load. There is a software program on the corsair web site that will read the temp sensors all over your motherboard and some components so that you can observe temps, since this product my video card is the hottest component in the case as you may expect. If you don't know, 70C (about 140F) is considered melt down temp for a cpu but most motherboards these days have a thermal detection function that will shut everything down before those sorts of temperatures occur. Of all the sealed coolers I looked at this is the only one with a five year warranty. I'm sure many of the other products out there are just as good but I've come to trust the corsair name which influenced my purchase decision a lot. Last comment, the pump comes with heat sink compound applied but most builders recommend artic silver 5 or newer for the superior heat transfer it provides so wipe off the stuff that comes with it (careful not to scratch the copper surface) and apply a tiny bead to the top of the cpu and use a straight edge like an old credit card and carefully spread the compound with as few streaks and bare spots as possible before you screw down the pump.

So I got this replacing my H100i and honestly not that HUGE of a difference. Temps went up 4-8F the pump and hoses are much sexier then the H100i but that's really about It for me....If you upgrade from lets says a H60i then It will be a big difference. I also lost 2 fan spliters so had 2 plug my other 2 fans for the RAD on my board...I have my i5 3570K OC to 4.2 and my older H100i honestly does better then this version. Not saying Its a bad cooler at all but not a upgrade If you already have a 240MM AIO

This cooler is overkill for my stock clocked FX8350 but is what was on the shelf. The cooler install is easy in my NZXT Phantom 410 case. I had to replace one of the thumb nuts with a regular nut and washer to allow the Corsair Link USB cable to connect. The right angle usb connector runs directly into the thumb nut unless you install the water block crooked on an AMD processor. The software gave me fits but the problem was not the software but my heavily modified windows 7 pro install. I could even get the software to run on my laptop but a clean Windows 7 pro install on my desktop brought everything into sync.

I had a little trouble locating it in the store, i asked a sales rep and they didn't seem to even know what i was talking about. After about 10 minutes of explaining what i was looking for, i located it. Took it home, kicked open my pc and went to work. It was a little thicker with the fans than i expected. It took a little finagling to get it and plug my board back in etc. But it works great, my pc was up around 75 degrees Celsius. now it runs around 30-40 even when gaming. It works super well and its a lot quieter than the cooling fan that came with my processor.

I've never used an AIO before, but have always been a fan of Corsair. Currently running the H100i GTX with two Noctua PPC 2000 fans on a 4690k at 4.5... after two hours of OCCT, quiet mode hits 60C, performance mode maxes at 54C. I can live with that.

Keeps my CPU Nice and Cool

Hey, everyone. I recently upgraded much of my Gaming PC, including the CPU. It's now running an Intel i7-7700K "Kabylake" CPU. Before purchasing this cooler from my local Best Buy, I was running into temps that were reaching slightly above 70 Celsius, which was enough to worry me. The Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2 that I had been using is an awesome cooler, but NOT for this CPU, apparently. After doing a lot of research on liquid coolers and their risks vs rewards, the different options available, their estimated sizes, etc. I decided that this was my best option. My local Best Buy had them in stock, so I shot over and grabbed on. Installation was quite a bit of work, but that's because I had to disassemble basically the entire PC, even taking out the Motherboard. But, from what I've read, that's normal when installing a Liquid Cooler, since the bracket that mounts it to the CPU has to be attached from the back of the Motherboard. Once the bracket was installed and the PC was put back together, I had to a bit more fiddling. This is only because of how the vents at the top of my case are designed. I had to do a bit of fiddling to get all of the screw holes on the radiator to line up with a hole in the top of the case. Once I got them lined up, it installed without a problem, other than that it's just so massive. Now that it's installed and working, I can say that it's been working absolutely stellar. When I play Fallout 4, which I run at maximized settings and with a series of both HD and 4K texture mods via Nexus Mods, I rarely dip below 60 FPS. The highest temperature that I've seen out of my CPU since installing this is 54 Celsius, which I am absolutely okay with! All in all, I couldn't be happier with this CPU. In fact, the software used to control and monitor the cooler is actually beneficial to me in other ways, allowing me to also monitor a lot of other component temperatures better than other applications I previously used for said temperatures. My only recommendation is that you try to measure the mounting area of your case and compare it to the dimensions of the cooler first, as it is a little large. I imagine it'd be better in a Full Tower rather than the Mid Tower that I have it mounted in, but it still fits (just tightly).
