Trades blows with Razer's Naga. Wins, but barely.

Bought this as an alternative to the multitude of Razer Naga mice I've purchased previously. Not a fan of the cheap-feeling side buttons, or the look and texture of them, but the ability to position the side button grid is a huge upgrade. Couldn't reach 1 through 3 on the Naga, but not a problem with this baby. MMO mice are notorious for not supporting the rainbow wave lighting effect to match other peripherals in the ecosystem. I was able to customize and set the scroll wheel, logo and side buttons (as a whole) to mimic the rainbow wave. I set the blue light (which can be changed) above the side button grid to black, to avoid conflicting with the rest of my lighting profile. Biggest CON is that the scroll wheel can't be tilted left, or right, which means you've lost 2 buttons basically in comparison with the Naga.

After years of replacing my Nagas every year or two, I finally decided to switch to this Corsair. Build quality seems to be better than the nagas. Side buttons are nice and clicky; I also love that I can adjust them all the way back for my small-ish hands. The software is a bit of hassle, but once it’s set up, you don’t have to mess with it again.

I upgraded to this mouse after my mouse wheel on my basic gaming mouse stopped working properly. I've never used an mmo mouse before, but I'm really liking this one so far. I have really small hands and the mouse is comfortable to use. It also has a really good weight to it that is beneficial to my FPS gaming. Overall it's a great mouse and I would recommend it. Plus, Corsair customer service is top notch.

A gaming friend recommended this mouse to me, and I have not been disappointed. The shape of the mouse fits my hand and grip style like a glove. It is very responsive. The software for the mouse is excellent (software and firmware issues are why I switched from my old brand of accessories to CORSAIR brand.) I love having so many extra keys right there at my thumb, that I can bind to keys, functions, macros, programs and even have separate profiles in which each hotkey can perform a different function. Being able to adjust the side buttons back and forward to be customized to the user's hand is a very cool feature.

The Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite wired mouse is quite an impressive MMO gaming mouse. In order to fully utilize this piece of gaming equipment, the user will need to install the iCue software application from Corsair. There is a very slight learning curve to set up the mouse buttons using the application, but this is not difficult to comprehend. All light options are controlled through iCue. I must say that the most unique feature of this gaming mouse is the adjustable bank of side buttons! Of all of the gaming mice I've ever used, I don't recall any of them having a feature like this. Using the included allen wrench key to loosen a lock screw on the bottom of the mouse, the user can slide adjust the side buttons to their liking! Regarding the feel of the mouse buttons, they seem to be easy to depress, but not spongy like on some other gaming mice. Another thing to consider, is the size. It's a good sized mouse, and compared to the Razer Naga Trinity or the Pro, this mouse seems to me a bit larger. So, considering the unique slide adjustable side buttons feature and the size of this gaming mouse, most adult users (regardless of hand size) should be able to use this mouse nit only for gaming, but also in a working environment/application. If you're looking for a gaming mouse that offers a fairly broad range of functionality and utility, the Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite wired gaming mouse just may be for you!

The mouse itself works great. Feels good to use and responsive. Can have multiple profiles with different settings for different games with is awesome for me since with different games I really like being able to assign different buttons. Software acts up at times and really is the only issue. Sometimes it won't pickup and load the mouse or keyboard. Lighting settings needed some weirdly specific adjusting to not have the mouse and keyboard just have no lighting. Software quirks aside the mouse itself works great!

I've been using these mice for years, and let me tell you, they're fantastic. My previous one lasted a solid 6 years before it started double clicking, which became quite bothersome. So, I decided to get this new one. One of the best things about this mouse is its effortless setup for key binds, whether you're using it for gaming or regular desktop tasks. The ICUE software by Corsair is truly exceptional and user-friendly. With this mouse, you have a plethora of buttons right at your fingertips. Both myself and my partner have been loyal users of this mouse for years, and we have no plans to switch. It's reliable, durable, and offers the functionality we need. If you're someone who craves easy access to additional buttons, this mouse is a game-changer.

bought this mouse because i have always prefered MMO/RPG style games. I have owned multiple different brands of this same style of mouse. I purchased the corsair due to the fact that my PC setup is almost completely Corsair. I have to say that I am pleased with this product. Feels quality, the RGB is very bright, accurate and transition very smoothly from color to color compared to other similar devices. I have two complaints about this mouse. I love the idea of the side buttons moving/sliding forward and backward to find best fit. However I have my number keys pulled almost all the way back toward my palm which in theory should raise the buttons back and up.. I still find it very hard to get my finger cleanly on the 1 key as my thumb is hitting my mouse pad and the 2 key instead. ther is no fix i have found for this yet. Possibly different mouse pad or sliders/ feet on the bottom of the mouse. This has nevr been an issue on any other mouse of similar style i have tried from other brands, even much cheaper brands. second issue is the right and left mouse buttons are very sensitive. i find myself holding or randomly clicking the mouse without meaning to or even noticing sometimes

    MMO Mouse of Masterful Proportions

If you happen to be playing a MMO without a mouse crafted for this specific type of game play - where a multitude of commands, key sequences, macros, etc need to be performed repeatedly or part of a rotation, please go ahead and get yourself this marvelous mouse. The shape & contour on the RGB Elite fit extraordinarily well to my hand size (adult mens L), and the rubberized coating feels sensational; all while providing excellent tactile grip. Using this for World of Warcraft is amazing. Maybe like a few of you, I'm back playing WoW classic as a melee toon, and not sure how I played without this thing before. The options are ENDLESS thanks to easy to customize iCUE software. Speaking of iCUE and IMPORTANT when starting to use this out of the box. Make sure you are running the latest firmware. There was a noticeable improvement in tracking with my mouse following the update. Open iCUE, go to settings, device settings, and update from stock (0.06?) to 3.19 (current as of 1/20/20). Remapping buttons to toggle DPI, open a app, run a macro, etc is a breeze. Colors options - endless. Lastly, the mouse comes with a tool that lets you to adjust the position of the 12 thumb keys. This allows for a really nice customize-able feel for however you like to place your thumb. This mouse is definitely a game changer that can improve your game play performance if you take a little time to make it work for you.

Not as good as the Logitech g600, but as they’ve stopped making that mouse, this one is a good substitute. Software for the mouse “iCue” needs better functionality (you cannot press 2 thumb buttons at once as the software only recognizes one button press). Other than that, it feels better made than the razer naga or g600 in terms of quality of buttons / plastic. One last thing, the thumb buttons are set pretty far back compared to the other two mouses.

I have used Razer Nagas for quite a while now. I love the design, but don't care for the build quality. So when I needed a new KB, I snagged this along with it to simplify software (both are Corsair). The build quality is amazing! The movable thumb buttons make it nice for my big hands. The textured right side really helps me hold on (something I've never thought about until I got this mouse). The issue is the software. Razer might build junk, but their software was on point. This is a cluttered mess. Tons of options...almost too many. I have to assign keys in the software, and then assign them again and save it to the mouse. So you're doing everything twice. The DPI doesn't want to switch. You click it, it says it switched, but it didn't. Change the color...nope. And the side buttons, why do they not just default to the number bar at the top of the KB? Razer does. But no, I had to program each button TWICE. And if the profile in the software doesn't exactly match the hardware saved profile you will get prompted a LOT to fix this. I have the exact same profile on both except the lighting. I want the mouse to be darker when the PC is locked. Only difference. It really bothers the software! All-in-all, I do like this and would recommend it. Just get ready for some Google searches on how to deal with the software.

Very responsive. The mouse's overall feel is great, and the buttons have just the right texture when clicking. However, I got it for a Windows 8.1 laptop. The downside is the "iCUE" software they recommend to reprogram the buttons doesn't seem compatible with my Windows 8.1's software. Not a big deal since almost no one should be using 8.1 anymore, but it feels disingenuous to advertise Windows 8 compatibility on the box if the software can't reprogram the buttons. Kinda a major marketing point on the back of the box.

This Corsair Gaming mouse in my opinion is one of the best gaming mice out there even with it's pros and cons for me being a person that is used to a gaming mouse that is not optical and has a trackball it's taken some time to get used to and the other con in my opinion would be the fact of being a wired mouse being used to a wireless or rechargeable type mouse. The pros are that it has the 17 programmable buttons which you can program to use your keyboard keys or to have a macro stored to that key also the fact that it has RGB lighting that you can change up to match your gaming system

Great mouse for MMOs, feels good, I like that you can adjust the positioning of the side buttons. A small piece inside the mouse that connects the scroll wheel broke after one year of heavy use, leaving the wheel to free spin and unable to scroll. I opened the mouse up to see if it could be repaired or replaced but it's a cheap piece of plastic that doesn't seem able to be repaired or replaced, necessitating buying another mouse.

I was a long time advocate for the Logitec G600, but the cost for the G600 has gotten out of control. With this in mind, I kept my eyes open for other options. When the G600 died, I tried this Scimitar. I was plesantly suprised, The Scimitar fits my hand better and still provides the functionality I like to have for work(believe it or not). The text entry capibility of the mouse software allows me to enter templates for emails. Push a button and the mouse fills in a basic template for an email I would otherwise write, or copy/paste several times a day. My only complaint is not really the mouse, but the itrusiveness and clunkyness of the iCue software. 9/10 for the mouse, 4/10 for the software. But, it works.

Is this mouse has really changed out the way that I play games and approach MMOs and survival crafting games. Having all the extra buttons at a moment's notice on the mouse is super convenient. The only reason this did not get a five star for me is that it can take a lot of getting used to to press the buttons and sometimes where I rest. My thumb is pretty uncomfortable but it's the most apt place to be able to hit all of the buttons.

Solid mouse, owned two of these the mouse wheel is a bit cheap and kept breaking so I 3D printed a new one. Besides that, this mouse is solid for people with bigger hands who don't like their pinky dragging on the mouse pad. The Corsairs program that controls the mouse is HOT garbage unfortunately and will cause you more issues than the mouse ever will.

Ive been using a Razer Mamba for a while now, but bought this mouse for diablo 4 and figured i might switch between them because i loved my mamba. This mouse is way better than i expected. Its way more comfortable than my mamba and the perfect size for my big hands. It has a soft and comfortable exterior snd the buttons all have a great click. Ive felt better scroll wheels for sure, but this one is decent. I highly recommend this mouse to anyone looking for a new one.

I've been buying scimitars for MMOs since they released, and now I cannot buy any other mouse. It's fantastic. The only caveat is that the clickpads wear down and the scroll wheel stops working way sooner than it should for a AAA company mouse. I feel like, with heavy gameplay every day, these should last 5 yrs. Mine ususally only last 2-3.

This mouse is ok, I have it as a backup for when my razer mouse goes out. The software can be a huge pain to deal with if you aren't software literate but the color schemes you can make are amazing. The side buttons can fade and the scroll wheel will go out if you tend to use it a lot, if you want a mouse that will last you, you may as well go with a razer naga MMO mouse. I'd recommend it as your own risk.
