Customers often highlight the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the VIRTUOSO XT Wireless Gaming Headset, along with its convenient Bluetooth functionality and long battery life. However, some users mention the headset's weight and that the bass response may not appeal to everyone. This headset is similar to the previous Virtuoso one with the addition of Bluetooth. It works great 90% of the time. From time to time I'll experience interruptions and the headset will beep because of it all the while I'm sitting less than 2 feet away from the receiver. From searching online, it looks like this is caused by interference from 5Ghz WiFi networks. I have a mesh WiFi beacon in the same room, which would make sense. I used to have this issue with the Astro A50 headset as well. The fit is nice, I wear glasses and I don't feel discomfort. The headband is padded so no pain on the top of my head. I can wear this for multiple hours. Bluetooth connection is amazing. I use this headset on my PS5 and if you don't have Spotify or Apple Music, you're screwed when it comes to playing music. Now I can use whatever source of music on my phone and take calls! The only other headset to do this was the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 (Gen 1 & 2) but they both suffer from quality control issues and are made of plastic, which will crack. Battery life is pretty good as well. I'd say I can have 4 or 5 gaming sessions of about 3 hours before needing to charge. The microphone in this device is the best quality. My friends asked me what I use because I sound so clear. The LED indicator is great for checking quickly if you're muted, although I prefer flip up mechanisms. The arm is detachable as well, in case it gets damaged or you want to use the headset as just headphones. This is a very expensive headset but it is packed with feature, made with quality parts and will last a long time. You do sometimes get what you pay for and in this case it's a good thing.

    A Beautiful Disappointment

The Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless XTs are the among the most beautiful headsets I have ever seen. It comes with a durable pouch that looks like an expensive lunch bag and items for connectivity. The buttons are aligned nicely with separate controls for the Bluetooth, wireless 2.4 volume and volume control on the 3.5mm connector as well. Did I mention that you can connect to Bluetooth and wireless at the same time? And the mic awesome. The design screams money and they feel beautiful to the touch. The LOOK like they should have an almost $300 price tag, but... I did give it 3 stars, and here's why.,, Disclaimer: I don't rarely do reviews because I mostly take a "you get what you paid for" attitude about things. So please excuse me if it doesn't read like a review pro. The Design As I've stated before, this headset is a 10 out of 10 in looks. They are a beautiful silver, black and brushed metal grey color. Looks really classy and the RGB is just a light touch of color (of your choosing). You can also choose to not use the RGB and it completely disappears. The hear hinges seem really sturdy, but not very flexible. Honestly I wasn't willing to tilt them beyond their "stopping" point to see how far they would go for fear of breaking them. The material used over padded areas is like soft leather. In fact, the padding itself is very soft and comfortable. So with that, the design should be a 10/10, but... Deductions: - The RGB shouldn't even be considered a feature worth mentioning. It's literally the logo and it's doesn't get very bright. RGB suggests an enhancement worth paying for, and this one definitely doesn't have it. -NOT GLASSES FRIENDLY. The rounded cups push on eyeglass frames in a way that can cause the ends of your glasses to dig in the back of your ears. After about an hour, I had to take the glasses off because it got so bad. - The fabric is very soft, but I have concerns about durability. Especially when combined with the fact that... - The cushion isn't going to last. When compared to another (less expensive) headset I've had for a long time, it seems the cushion may go flat quickly. In fact, the ear cushions were crumply after one night in the faux suede case it came in. There just isn't dense enough cushion on the ears or the head frame. - They weigh in at almost a pound. With that weight and cushion that flattens easily, it will be a matter of time before the headset becomes permanently uncomfortable. - The included USB cable is entirely too short. The cable comes off of the left side so if your pc or whatever you are connecting it to is on the right side, you may have a lot of trouble dealing with cable while wearing the headset. - The volume button spins eternally. There isn't a stopping point on the volume button so If you're looking to get to max volume or the lowest volume, you may already be there and spinning the dial vainly. Software - Dolby Atmos is attached to your headphones via USB or dongle. It will NOT work on Xbox or other devices that use the 3.5mm connector. You will have to purchase an account separately. - Dolby Atmos give you very limited EQ control and does not include a volume boost. - The audio is far too compressed coming through the software. The Audio Disclaimer: I am an audiophile, a gamer and I have a background in audio production (live and digital, for video and music). To understand my next concern, think about audio in terms of shapes. surround is a circle and stereo a straight line. This is about to be the most basic explanation I can give to a more complex issue. Most gaming headsets have some sort of directional audio by using drivers to bend a straight line, to give some feel of surround. It gives depth to the audio so stuff that's far sounds far and stuff that's close sounds close. This headset doesn't do that. - 3D audio just isn't it. 3D audio focuses on sound above and below, not 30 meters to your front, back, right or left. This isn't good for FPS gaming. - Not immersive. Even a great pair of inexpensive stereo headphones are more immersive than these. Along with lower volume, the overall frequency range comes across as too flat. - Bass is not good an there isn't a way to fix it. Some cheaper headsets tend to lean too much on bass frequencies and it overpowers everything else. The Virtuoso XT headphones has clear mids, but the bass is incredibly weak. - 3.5 mm cord allows you to hear, but that's about it. This headset relies too much on other digital aspects. Just going off of a 3.5mm jack into an Xbox controller shows that the speakers themselves aren't capable of much at their base. Bottom Line... GGeee!!! Nice try. Corsair almost had me. While the physical features are nice, I really pay my money for the sound. These have a $300 body with sub $100 audio (except for the mic). If they decide to do an Xbox version of these headphones with virtual surround, better EQ control, more volume and bass with thicker cushions along with the current features... My money will be waiting for them. For now, I'll pass on this luxurious disappointment.

I absolutely love these headphones and so far are my favorite out of all the headphones I have owned.. however there are some cons that I hope Corsair fixes in the next model. I have owned many versions of this headset including base, SE, and XT. All of them are great but all share cons. 1. Ear muffs are great however can rip if not taking care of. Also the way it’s fitted can be easily broken. It’s kinda screws into the headset put the part that “screws” is plastic so if it breaks you’re screwed. Although my current headset has not had that problem yet. 2. Range. The Bluetooth range is not always the best and it tends to unmute if you are too far. 3. The battery life is pretty healthy but doesn’t charge the fastest. Pros 1. Material Quality is for the most part wonderful. 2. Mic is clear 3. Healthy battery 4. Very comfortable 5. The dual Bluetooth with PC AND mobile device is amazing. I use this headset for work too so I can take calls and work on projects and be in meetings but also listen to music or videos w/o anyone knowing. The Bluetooth functionality is what really keeps me locked in. There are some strange bugs with it but it’s great. 6. Sound quality is wonderful although I recommend tweaking the levels as the base settings don’t compliment it the best. 7. Looks good ! RGB is subtle and tasteful and the metal parts really have that premium feel. Overall good headset I do recommend and I can’t wait for Corsair to stomp out some of the weird issues. When they do that this headset will be god tier.

I use these every night. I wanted to buy ONE set that i could use on EVERYTHING i have phone, pc, playstation, switch, and xbox. When it comes to wireless its compatible which pc and playstation. Then you can use Bluetooth to connect to your phone. But it comes with a wire that you can connect directly to your switch or xbox. I dont like having to buy so many headphones for different systems. So i did my research spent a bit more and bought this set. Microphone is amazing works awesome. My brother says he hears me even breathing lol. Its comfortable and lasts for a long time. So long i forget to charge it and then it ends up dying on me. But you can use the set EVEN WHILE its charging. I have a large enough cable to do it. Overall its awesome and the mic is detachable so if i was traveling i can use this headset with my phone for music and its way better than the air pods or beats or jbl i have at home. All around awesome. Plug and play. Def recommend. Laslty it comes with a really nice case to put ur headsets in.

Head set works well but has less range on it than ita predecessor. The ear cuffs wear out to fast. Warranty supports helps this. The added bluetooth is a vast improvement on compared to the previous model.

This is my second time choosing Corsair as my brand of choice for wireless headphones. Excellent sound quality and range, and. It feels like the components are screwed into metal rather than plastic, which gives them a nice sturdy feel. The ear cups are slimmer than my old heaphones, allowing me to fall asleep with them on if I want. The detachable microphone comes in handy in this scenario as well. My friends have described the microphone quality as crystal clear. There are some nvidia options to further enhance mic clarity and in the iCUE software as well. LED lighting on the earpieces act as a nice finishing touch to my system because I used iCUE to match them to the color scheme of my Corsair LL 120 RGB case fans. I have a feeling these will last me a long time; the quality is what makes these an excellent value in my opinion.

This headset is a very good choice for those looking for comfort and good sound quality. Definitely is one of my favorites that I’ve ever tried. I use it daily now because it is so comfortable. Only thing that could be improved, would be the detachable microphone. I personally think that having a retractable one would be more appealing. The mute mic button could also be relocated in my opinion. Headset has great battery life, I’ve only had to charge it a couple times since I’ve bought it, and the build quality feels premium. I thought it was also really cool that it came with a case to put the headset in, definitely a great addition to the overall package.

This a pretty nice headset, I use it for my PS5. It covers my full ear, has a good sound, and the mic sounds good. It does seem a little pricey for what it is. I would probably invest a little more money next for a higher quality headset.

Built and quality is perfect except 3 reasons I return them is, 1 sound quality is very low and for that price I dont get the richness of bass sound on it. 2 they are so heavy. 3 earcup makes my ear sweat even in a few minutes. Beside these 3 reason I like the design and built quality. If they will revise these 3 reason I will get one especially the bass sound

Overall this headset is pure quality, not just the build, but also audio wise. Using the wireless feature, it has a lot of thump for base, and surround sound in my opinion is better than the RGB SE. Now, using wireless, you will have to use Dolby Atmos, it does have that really nice clear bassey sound in high fidelity headphones. Using the Bluetooth feature isn't all that bad, however because of the microphone being enabled. It will quite down the drivers so you will have a lower input volume. The best thing about this headset is the fact you can remove the wireless dongle and just use this headset purely as a wired headset. This in turn gives the headphones microphone the best possible quality. It also adds the 8 way 24 channel 48000 megahertz for true surround sound. Now, depending on the audio app you are using, this headset will utterly blow your mind. One thing that's very important to understand about Corsair products is that they are for PC first, and everything else second. So if your getting these for console gaming, your better off using them on a PS5. You can use them on the series x, but you will not get anywhere near the same quality as you would on PC, and PS5. I do want to note that the virtuoso XT will work with nehemic audio in purely wired mode, and they do sound pretty amazing.

I am going to up front about the only dislike I have about this Headset/Headphones and that is the wireless range. The range is supposed to be 60' (60 Feet) however like the most of us we have walls between our rooms and bathrooms and that is where the range falls pretty short for me. I can be in the living room which is only one wall away and my signal comes in and out. This feature is important to me because I have a new born daughters and I enjoy listening to podcast while I clean during her sleep. Everything else about this set though is awesome quality and the best touch is having my phone connected at the same time as having them wirelessly paired to my computer.

Picked these up about a month ago and absolutely love them! Detachable mic, Easy wireless connection set up! If you're big on listening to music while gaming you can pair heqdset Bluetooth to your phone and stream your music while hearing your game audio. Plus the controls for wireless and bluetooth are separated, so you have full control of both audio inputs on the bottom of the right ear piece. I would recommend upgrading the ear pieces its a simple twist off design. I went with the wicked cushion cool gel, if your needing extra padding around the ears.

It sounds good, the mic is good, the battery life is okay, the bluetooth and dongle usage at the same time is cool. My main complaint is that the pleather (fake leather) covering the ears and head pad degraded and peels off way too fast. This will leave black flakes on your head/shirt. and on white/light gray object it will stain them.

This is an incredibly comfortable headset with great audio. The mic is also top notch (and removable). Build quality is unlike anything I've ever experienced in a headset. Very much a premium product that feels and looks it. I've had 5+ hour zoom meetings where I barely notice I'm wearing them, they're that comfortable. Big drawback here is the price obviously. I don't regret the purchase at all, but I can't really say there's a lot of value here. If you want the best bang for your buck there's quality, less-pricey alternatives. If the price isn't an issue go for it, you won't regret your purchase.
