I’ve had this headset for a month and here’s what I can tell you. Corsair makes fantastic headsets - I’ve previously owned a wireless gaming headset of theirs and the sound and build was amazing - lasted me years. However, this one is legitimately a 4.9 out of 5.
A headset has 4 goals to accomplish.
- Sound
- Build
- Design
- Integration.
Sound? Sounds great. Bass is crisp and clear, highs aren’t rattle-filled or raspy. I think it would sound even better if it wasn’t for what I talk about under “Build”.
Build: Whoever designed this headset obviously hasn’t seen someone with a head like mine. For reference I am 6’1. Tall dude but thin. This headset *almost* sits 100% contact-wise around my ears.
Design: I mean it’s pretty. The RGB looks good, it’s tasteful, but “integration” is uh...rough. The headset has a fairly durable/quality cable and fittings. Doesn’t feel cheap at all.
Integration: absolutely horrid. Corsair’s “iCUE” software is used for all of their hardware now. I also have a Corsair water cooler so, I figured it was about time I downloaded it. As soon as it was installed, my headset’s mic was stuck on mute and pressing the button did nothing, restarting the PC did nothing. I uninstalled and rebooted and it was fixed, but I haven’t touched the button since.

So the presets and sound sucks at first, but I got the cure for you. Overall, the headphones are good. Discord friends say I sound a lot better then my razer kraken 7.1. Make sure you download the IUE software from Corsair website to control the EQ settings and colors.

I have used these for about a week now and the headset is great. I will say I don't know if this was something wrong with just my headset or many others but its like the cord no matter how much i try will not go straight. How the cord is folded in the box has made my cord permanently bent in a very awkward way that makes it impossible to prevent the cord from tangling (even while sitting perfectly still)when using them. The cord about every inch or so bends like 90 degrees or so and whenever you try to fix it it feels like the actual cable under the protective layer is twisted and due to this I never completely get to enjoy this headset because I'm too busy untangling the cord.(which is essentially pointless)
To summarize, I've had 20 dollar headsets with a cord infinitely better than the on corsair used in the product.

The sound is ok and not great. I bought this to replace the previous non ELITE version of this headset. I've had this for less than a year and the wires are already starting to get very worn.

This headset is interesting. It does some things really good and other things not so.
Good:
- Sound quality is good. Volume is different story.
- Cushy part at the top and sides are comfortable
- Microphone light at end is great to be able to tell if the mic is on, and vocal confirmation of it turning off and on with the button is convenient (must download the software from the website for the vocal confirmations).
- LED lights are mostly neat
- Cord is long enough to stand up.
- Seems fairly sturdy and cord is thick
Bad
- Headset is HUGE and a little heavy. I am an average sized male with a slightly large head, and I have it on the smallest setting. Can't turn your head very fast, it will wiggle off. Doesn't seem to balance well on head.
- Volume control is in a bad location. Many times I have accidentally changed the volume with the dial by taking the headset on and off.
- Initial mic volume is too quiet. Fortunately the software I use (Zoom, Teams, Discord) has been able to compensate by tweaking settings.
- LED lights rotate too quickly, not many options (need to download software)
- Cord not as long as most competing products I have used
- Can't get audio/mic through a remote computer session (maybe this is just the way Windows is)

I game with it. It games good. It sounds good. Bidirectional 7.1 sound works really well in games. You can really hear where things are happening around you.
However, microphone is just good. The mic is a little low and you may have to raise you in app mic sensitivity settings, like in discord, or in game settings per game.
But nothing is bad.
If you don't talk on the mic, then this thing is awesome for in game directional and super clear sound.

I've recently purchased this headset and have really enjoyed it so far!
Pros:
- Frame is built to last.
- Cushions fit nicely and are breathable.
- Adjusts smoothly in size.
- Sound quality is pretty decent.
- ICUE App is easy to navigate.
Cons:
- Somewhat bulky in design.
- Speakers only turn backwards rather inward.
- No cord strap.
Overall this set is one the best I've tried and the price is reasonable. I do wish there was mobile support for the ICUE app but maybe I've just overlooked it or possibly something to be included later on?

So the Corsair Void RGB Elite is actually pretty decent, unfortunately I do have some problems with it personally.
-
1. The size, it's great, the earmuffs are definately good, they seem a tad bigger, but that's not really an issue, however the actual top support, it's big. From the middle part of the arch, to the top of the earmuffs where they actually sit, is very long in general, I basically have to wear a beanie to shore up that extra size, lifting the arch higher above my head for the earmuffs to start to sit relatively comfortable,
-
2. The metal arms that hold the earmuffs are actually pretty cool, they rotate inward, kind of counter clockwise, however they are in the earmuffs with an upside down hook shape, which I had thought prior to purchase, would pivot up, and down, even slightly, which would significantly improve the overall comfortability, and internal design, as it is, it's very rigid, forcing the earmuffs, even if the arch were smaller, allowing them to seat properly, would very seldom seat flush with the bottom side of the head, the tops sit well, but the bottom just kind of hangs open, completely negating the option for the 7.1 surround sound.
-
3. For some reason, with the corsair application, you can in fact change the color of the RGB, however you have to have the app running, and closing it just resets the onboard profile to it's default, this could be me not fully knowing how to work this stuff, maybe I've missed something, but to allow other Corsair products like the Scimitar Pro I got at the same time, you have to close the application entirely, having it open negates the use of the mapped keys, so for me needing said keys to actually work, I have to close the app, and not have the lighting options I set for the headset active.
-
4. A small con, but the mic, when the mic is muted, there is a red ribbon light towards to tip of the mic, unfortunately, as I stayed earlier, this could just be me missing something in the app, but you do not have the option to either swap which light means on, or off, and you cannot change the color of said light either. For some reason red led lights actually hurt my eyes and head extremely bad, so I cannot use them, even if they look cool, or nice with a build, or setup.
-
5. The last could potentially be my system, but when using discord, I don't always want my earmuffs on, since I personally need to wear a beanie so the full headset can sit decent at all, but the headset splits the sound apart. I'll head discord in the headset, but everything else out of my speakers, that's nice sometimes, but I need to hear my games specifically as well for various reasons. I believe I managed to swap all sound into the headset right after buying it, but it causes the sound quality to be choppy, as if you were having severe connection issues, as well as causing a severe input delay with things like push-to-talk, I cannot remember if I managed to switch all sound entirely to my speakers, and only use the mic, but either way, if I had wanted to do that, I could've purchased a good mic for the same price, probably a better sound quality one as well, and used an average pair of headphones if I wanted to also have a "headset," which would've all much much easier to deal with.
Aside from those, which do suck, the quality of the sound in general is good, mic quality is also good, however even with adjusting multiple settings, the volume to other people is very low, and the build quality also in general in terms of material, etc, is also pretty good. It's worth a buy I think, but personally I probably would return it if I was able.

I almost returned these because the sound from music was extremely muddy. The solution required me to install the iCUE Software from Corsair's website. Once installed changed from 7.1 Sound to Stereo Sound. I docked a star because I bought these for the 7.1 Sound. For those worried the sound won't be good in stereo, I can say they still outclass most headsets I've tried in the sub-$100 range.
I have worn these for 8 hours straight on a work day in Zoom meetings and also for 3+ hours of gaming. Never had a single
complaint about my mic not being clear. They are also fairly comfortable and breathable. You can definitely make some comfort gains by stepping up to a more expensive headset, but this is great for the price range.
The only other drawback is the cable is a bit annoying. It's short and I like to keep my PC farther away (2 GPUs put out a lot of heat). It just always seems to be in the way - if this is a thing for you, maybe consider wireless.

I'm currently wearing this headset in particular. I found a few things difficult to understand. For one, when using it with my computer I at first thought it was a home run. It's super comfortable, the size is perfect to block out, outside noises to allow you to focus on gaming.
Bad side-note: You have to go to a site to download and activate your mic.
Good note: You can change the color or the style of the color change and if you have a Corsair keyboard with color-changing effects. This applies both to the headset and keyboard.
Bad side-note: The mic is the flexible kind and I've had nothing but issues with that because I have a very soft voice and so I have to put the mic so close to the point of eating it to be heard. I love the flexibility and comfort which is why this headset almost got a 5 star.
The effect of it getting a 4-star rating is due to poor mic setup/construction. Bendable mics are not the best thing to have because no one can hear you. A hard plastic mic is way better.
Having used previously a [[Logitech - H390 USB Headset with Noise-Canceling Microphone - Black]] I prefer that mic to this current mic on this headset.

Excellent headset for the price. I love the Icue software that lets you modify the equalizer and sound mode with one button. Also if you tune it properly the sound quality will surprise you! Microphone is clear and loud, and it's comfortable for long gaming/working sessions. 100% recommended.

Excellent headset, quite comfortable (even for large heads), never sweat even after 6+ straight hours of use. Mic and speaker quality are great.
Note: I picked this up as a replacement for my VOID wireless that had served me well for years but stopped holding a charge.
