Ender 3 V3 SE; A budget friendly first 3D Printer

The Ender 3 V3 SE is an excellent 3D printer. It's a reliable, budget friendly machine with ease of use, detailed instructions, and a simple user interface. Its mid-sized design and 220x220m build plate makes it an exceptional option for quality large and small prints.
Out of the box, the Ender 3 V3 SE does require some assembly, but overall nothing too difficult to manage. I found that it took an average of 20 minutes to set up.
The printer comes with an auto-leveling bed process. The leveling process ensures your printer nozzle isn't too high or low from the print bed. I found this to be a great time saver, as the manual leveling process of many other printers requires many steps and a substantial amount of time to perfect the settings. This also brings forth ease of use for people starting out in the 3D printing community. The entire process only takes a few minutes, but the level of quality it brings for your future prints sure makes it worth it.
The slicer program for converting your 3D files into printable objects is quite decent. I found that for large prints, the program works really well with little to no problems. Using the default program, I would recommend for owners to do their research well for proper print settings in order to get proper prints. The default program does have some trouble with converting much smaller 3D models to printable formats, and while it may not show up in the program, the inconsistencies DO reveal themselves while printing. For this reason, I suggest that owners of the Ender 3 V3 SE look into other popular free softwares out on the internet.
A few flaws I've noticed with the Ender 3 V3 SE is that when assembling, I found out that a few screws already pre-assembled on the printer were a bit loose, specifically on the extruder housing and the heated surface. I tightened them up as I wouldn't want any pieces flying out during high-speed prints. I also noticed that the included magnetic print bed was a bit warped on the left side, which caused the nozzle to drag along the surface. You can easily either purchase another build plate or send an email to the company's support team if this happens. Another thing to mention is that I advise you to not use the included filament if you place your printer on a wobbly surface, as it can cause the filament to fall out of the holder attached to the 3D printer.
While yes, the Ender 3 V3 SE might have a few flaws, it's overall a superb option for 3D printing on a budget. The issues I've experienced aren't very likely to happen to other buyers, so I would like for my review to not hinder your decision on purchasing this wonderful product. If you do have a bit more cash to spend, I would also look at other newer lineups of printers from this same company here on the Best Buy website, as their deals are unmatched compared to other websites that sell the same product.

I'm impressed. It was well packaged. The box included everything needed for first use: the printer, cables, SD card, SD card adapter, instructions, tools, and some filament. The SD card even included a test pattern. Setup was very simple from the included instructions. The company also produced YouTube tutorials to validate the written instructions. These weren't needed but appreciated. I did elect to update the firmware proactively since I noticed a new version was posted on the website. I can't say if that was required. The included instructions in the download were easy to follow. It was about 30 minutes from opening the box to the first print. The auto-level and calibration feature work well. I've not had to manually adjust it. All our prints have looked great. I didn't expect this kind of experience at this price point. I'd absolutely recommend it to other casual users and beginners.

Here are some reasons why I love it:Easy and quick setup.Light and compact design.Simple installation and usage on your PC or laptop.Plenty of online resources to help you get the most out of this printer.Filament is widely available. No issues so far after many prints.Definitely worth the money I paid for it.

It's my first time using a 3d printer of any kind, and honestly I thought it was going to be a nightmare to set up and use. This printer actually surprises me as most of the setting-up, like bed-leveling, is done automatically by the printer.
The software is also breeze and friendly to use and I had both set up and printing in just a few minutes with no experience with 3d printing at all. The prints it makes are perfect. Truly a great printer for beginners. Would recommend to anyone.

Purchased this for my twelve year old daughter and I think I may be more in love than she is. I am absolutely amazed at what this machine can create! She loves the auto-leveling feature and I am impressed with the quality.

This is my first 3d printer and it has been incredibly easy to get the hang of how to use the device, very simple menus, and clear instructions. Definetly recommended to anyone who wants to get into 3D printing. I have used OVERTURE PLA material and the machine handles it perfectly. I definetly recommend getting a PEI bed to make your prints easier to get off of the printer. Happy printing!!

Be Careful with hot filament and cheap drive belts

Great printer when it's working. Some of the parts seem like cheap plastic, and after opening for Christmas I was able to get a solid day and-a-half of printing before the y-drive belt simply snapped during an overnight print. I woke up to find the HOT filament (PET-G) did not start any fires after being turned into a stringy globule of melted and stringy mess.
Best Buy is sending a replacement printer, so we will see how that goes and will update my review after the printer belt doesn't immediately snap, assuming we don't die in a PETG fire.

I've had other Ender 3 printers and this one is by far the best. It's super easy to setup and get configured. It's also direct drive which is in my opinion much better than having a long bowden tube. The include flex bed is really nice you have and makes removing prints pretty easy.

First 3D printer and it was super easy to setup. Instructions were very easy to follow and was able to have it done a test print in about 30min, from opening the box to printing and I was taking my time. Highly recommend this for the beginner.

I gifted this 3-D printer to my younger brother for a christmas present and I have to say its a absolitely perfect beginer printer. He absolutely adores it and has already made many projects. He has also designed his first print within just one month of use. Absolutely reccomend this printer for a beginner who loves mini projects! Wish I bought it for myself!

Bought this for the Men in my life to have toy. My dad is not computer savvy at all and this is very easy for him to use. It uses a SD card not wifi. The filament that comes with it is not great. I recommend a different brand. But the printer was easy to assemble, easy to learn, and fun to use. Plus it has self leveling features.

We picked this up as part of a black friday sale and I have to say this is quite a good entry level 3d printer. We were able to get up up and running quickly and it's pretty easy to use, if you are at all tech savy or have looked into the basics of 3 printing. Self leveling is good and the detachable printing bed makes it easy to remove finished products.

While the printer itself has been awesome, the software that you use with it kept crashing so we have to use an older version of the software. Also, the sd card that came with it was corrupted and had something bad on it so our computer wiped it clean after one attempt to use it. We also saw it had been shipped directly from China to an address in the States first to wait to be bought before being sold to us which made me super hesitant (especially when coupled with the dodgy sd card). Like it was a 3rd party instead of Best Buy. However, my son was so excited about it, we didn’t have the heart to raise a stink about it and possibly send it back. And it’s been working well so far (with the older software anyway), so it’s fine.

While there was a bit of a learning curve on how to properly utilize "self-leveling," setting up the firmware was a bit of a pain, but not incredibly difficult. I already had an Ender 3 Pro, so I've definitely seen worse, but I'm super happy with this printer so far!

Great machine for beginners who don’t know what the crap they are doing. Comes with a sd card with a preloaded video that walks you through setup. Come some filament to get you started. Had it for about 6months and no regrets. So far I have printed a Kleenex box, some figurines, a Mario bank, storage boxes etc.
