I’m was originally an ender 3 pro printer owner so this was a massive upgrade, I was thrilled to receive the newest version of the K1 Max 3D Printer. The updated model is easily identifiable by the blue K1 Max logo on the box – a sign you’ve got the latest and greatest. Early models had some issues with the extruder, The updated version also has a white plastic ring on top of extruder (previous models had a blue ring), The setup and instructions were clear, and I was up and printing in under an hour. The printer operates quietly and the creality print software is easy to use. It is possible to root this printer if you want to run Cura or other software but it requires tinkering and some features like the AI camera wont work properly. To be fair, early versions of this printer had too many bugs which is why many were rooting it. But now, the stock software works flawlessly with recent software update. The print quality is where the K1 Max really shine especially when you use creality hyper pla and print at 600 m/s (a spool of hyper pla comes with the printer) . So far i havent had a single failed print after using it for 1 month. Tip: dont forget to enter your model number to redeem a free year of Creality Cloud Premium, a community of users online, which is a great resource for beginners, troubleshooting and tips. The K1 Max 3D Printer strikes a perfect balance between ease of use, performance, and price. It’s an excellent choice for anyone interested in stepping into the world of 3D printing. Happy printing!

So far an awesome printer- super easy setup and operation. HUGE upgrade from my Ender 3 S1 Pro- the 2024 model comes with an upgraded toolhead that looks like is the same as whats in the K1C. If your reading this it means your thinking about the Max- trust me, stop thinking and buy it. Its an awesome machine! BTW- it will run a Benchy in 15 minutes out of the box! Mine was missing the spare hotend- am currently waiting for a reply from Creality about this- attempted to chat with BestBuy customer service but they told me just to return it to the store-

Using HyperPLA, I have not needed to so anything to print amazing models. The phone app is convenient if you don’t have a computer, but cloud slicing can take a while unless you pay for their premium access. Using their free software on PC, it is incredibly simple and easy to print and monitor with the built-in camera. I levelled the bed once and have bypassed it since, and have had perfect adhesion without using any glues or treatments to the print bed.

My first 2 weeks with this were an emotional roller-coaster. 3D printing tech has come a long ways, but it is still not user friendly to those lacking technical skills. This was my first 3D printer and I had nothing but issues for 2 weeks before I discovered the main problem. I had ripped apart the entire machine and replaced parts. This really helped me learn more about the machine though and grow confident in maintaining it. Turns out, the Creality Hyper PLA filament was the problem. Both the spool that came with the printer and the additional spools I purchased caused nothing but problems. After switching to some other brand filaments I purchased on amazon (and learning a better way to install and retract filament), the printer has been a BEAST! Works fantastic and I am very pleased with it. it takes time to understand the settings and play with the slicer software, but now I am very pleased. so if you have issues, don't be too quick to blame the printer. Also, use youtube as a resource for learning more about these machines. I learned a better way to retract filaments and install new filaments from a youtuber. The Creality training that you get out of he box could be better...

Setup was very easy and connection to my network and computer also very easy. I have mainly printed in PLA right now but also with PLA+ and Tough PLA. All have been very good and ver good clean prints. Just make sure you teach yourself about the printer and what you will need to print other types of filament. Other wise it has been a perfect purchase.

Had a giant review written but then the pagw refreshed for some reason and it went poof. Basic, good printer, absolute garbage app. Works great with bambu and orcaslicer. If you are planning on using it mostly via your phone, don't bother. If you are planning to keep an eye on it with the camera via the phone app, don't bother. If you just want a decent printer that does a pretty great job but just happens to be hobbled by some crap software, it's good. Bought it on sale, don't regret it.

Good Printer but at $900 Not Worth It

Good printer, but at $900, it's not worth it. If you can, save up for the K2 or get one of the Bambu Lab printers. I managed to get it for $679, which made it worth while for me.

I started my printing journey with a Ender 3 and slowly upgraded to this K1 Max. It is night and day hoe great this printer is and how bad it makes other middle to even high grade printers look. It's intuitive, easy to use and set up.

Great device. And you can find so many printable files on the app. But if you plan to do something custom. You will need a good computer for that. There ate also other apps you can download files from. It prints great. Decently quite. It also comes with one roll of white filament. And some supplies to get you started.

Excellent printer... if you are willing to do what previous Creality owners have done... adapt and adjust. The printer did work right out of the box, which was awesome but the Creality app leaves a lot to be desired, it just freezes for no reason which is really irritating. The printer hardware is amazing though, and I did have the updated parts. No problems so far and I have been printing non stop since I got it. I also got a full size Mandalorian helmet on the first try! I did end up installing unlocked Klipper and using Orcaslicer with it, which now its perfect. It does not utilize the lidar bed scanner but I do not think it did before either so not much of a loss to me.

K1 Max is pretty easy to use out of the package. It has several notable issues, such as the motorboard and extruder, that Creality will replace, but getting a response from them on a $900 machine is ridiculous.

Glad I pulled the trigger and upgraded from my old printer. The print quality is great out of the box with provided filament but there is a learning curve when you start changing filaments just like any hobby there's a learning curve

I bought this as a upgrade from the Ender 3 Pro and just let me tell you, its amazing. I have not had a single failed print yet. The print quality and print speeds are very impressive. It has been very convenient to be able to start stop and monitor prints from my phone no matter where i am. Simply amazing!

This thing is great. After looking for a long time I decided to go with this printer and I spent the whole weekend printing things. They made it very simple with the app and the only failed prints I’ve had were my fault not understanding how to slice yet.

Printer works great as usual you have to play with it to get the settings right but now it's printing three time faster than my old printer. Buying it at best buy insured it was not damaged as I have seen problem when it was delivered to houses because of bad handling.

When it prints, it’s an incredible machine. The problem is that the bed is so thin that the heat put into it causes serious warping, which renders most of the bed unusable because the auto bed leveling system doesn’t compensate for the variance. If you don’t need the build size, I recommend going to their competitor and giving them a try.

very good printer however the bed level is way off but i found a solution to this and you have to print leveling knobs and add the Silicone Solid Bed Mounts, by doing this my bed level is so much better and runs like a champ i love it

The ease of use is amazing. This is my second 3d printer and the plate which is able to be used is bigger which helps with projects that I’ve wanted to do like cosplay helmets. Would definitely recommend this for any level user.
