I started my 3D printing journey with Creality and never had a problem. I bought a different brand and….. many problems. When Creality came out with this printer I knew I needed to have it. A few reviews were stating machines would come with broken feet and door hinges or dents. I ordered this for pickup so I could record any box damage and prayed everything was good. It was AMAZING! No damage. Prints beautifully! Any problems I HAVE had with mine have been strictly user error. I am only human. lol. I built a shelf for my cfs as I wanted top access as well. Totally recommend this printer!

has to be returned and exchanged due to damage

Box was rough, but not trashed. Sadly the screen was floating on top and outside its protective shipping location. There is a dent in the back of the screen. Opening the glass lid was a disappointment as it was shattered and useless. After pushing through I found out the touchscreen was actually damaged in the opposite corner from the previous damage. At this point I was not going be printing as and I was disappointed to say the least. Not certain if it was damaged at UPS, BestBuy, or on the cargo ship. It is sad the price is higher these days and after having it in hand some of the items are pretty cheaply made for the premium price. Sadly I have to return the whole unit as they will not just get me a lid and touchscreen. I suppose this helps in case somehow the frame was out of whack. It is just the hassle after it was week late arriving due UPS mistakes. I will have the exchange unit shipped to local BestBuy, unpack it to inspect parts that break, package it back up, and hopefully take it home.

Great 3d printer, did have 2 feet screws broke off looks like over torque issue from factory and glue on bottom hinge of glass door didn't hold, but both easy fixes didn't take away from the machine operating as it should. Easy to set up and get going. 4 stars only on quality due to the feet and hinge.

Really very efficient. The color system is working well after over 100 hours of print time. But the PTFE tube connection on the extruder failed, has been my only real issue.

Overall I have been very happy with my purchase! I always check Best Buy when making bigger purchases like this, because they typically have great deals and their customer service is always top notch. I will say for anyone who purchases one of these printers, Creality has released a ptfe tube holder. This should be the first thing you print and install.

Works great out of the box, love the multicolor printing. Prints way faster than my old 3d printer turning a 24hr print into a 6hr print. This thing is huge and you can print full size helmets without having to cut into smaller parts. No issues using other brand filament with it. Love the feature where you can have partial roll and when it runs out you can automatically switch to another of the same type. easy to use all of your almost empty rolls.

Great printer overall after you get through the CFS issues also be sure to order an extra extruder front shell because in time the fingers that hold the hose will wear out.

The K2 Plus Combo handles multi-material prints like a pro. Print quality is outstanding and setup was smoother than expected. The included AMS system is intuitive and works seamlessly. Great value for the features!

Excellent printer. You can print straight out of the box, but if you intend on printing miniatures with fine detail you will need to get a 0.2 mm nozzle.

works okay sometimes, but no replacement available for a simple part that should not break (pneumatic fitting for PTFE tube on the print head) 3 people from Creality customer support can’t get me or direct me to anyone or any place that may have one. Would highly recommend going with a different brand printer such as Bambu as I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them. Do your research before you consider buying this machine, it is not worth it and is very inconsistent for the price tag.

First time we ordered item was defective. Best Buy sent a replacement, we had to return the massive item back to the store. Only to get it damaged again the second time. Bummer. We were really looking forward to this item. They need to hire a better shipping company. UPS is a careless carrier

Great Printer - Terrible Quality Control

I ordered this printer and a few days later ordered a second after seeing online that people were receiving these damaged. 2 main issues seem to be the leveling feet and the door hinge. I received both my printers and immediately the first had 2 out of 4 feet broken off and the door hinge was broken. I didn't even fully unpack it, I just took it to my local bestbuy and they gave me a refund. The other one, what can I say, its amazing. Is it huge? Absolutely, but you can say goodbye to having to break most items into multiple pieces due to size. Initial prints have been very clean and the CFS works flawlessly. I will update if I run into issues, but so far I am very happy with my purchase. Just mentally prepare for the chance you will receive a damaged one and need to replace it.

This review has just one complaint. It came with a leg broken with the screw broke off in the machine. Easy fix, remove the other 3 and nice, level and stable. Now it was otherwise packed very well. Setup was a breeze, got all things done in the unboxing part, loaded the CFS with 4 colors, did the auto calibrations and printed the little test boat, one color. Then came multi colored and the test boat was perfect along with the 3 color Creality logo and I’m more than impressed with just how perfect it performs. Our new logo is, why buy it when we can just print one, glow in the dark and personalized to boot. Largest print area anywhere and up to 17 colors available to you. OMG even a camera inside you watch on your computer and records it in time lapse. The Creality K2 Plus with the CFS is amazing in every way.

Creality? Seriously? K2 Plus vs X1C.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've been 3D printing for about 3 years now and honestly I've avoided Creality like the plague, as there were always unacceptable issues with their printers, when you visit their forums. On top of that it seemed like everyone who owned one would spend several hundred dollars just to upgrade their $200 printer, when they could have just purchased a $500 printer and had none of the issues. Jump ahead to 2025 and it appeared for awhile, that Bambulab was the only brand raising prices as a result of the tariffs. This simple fact left me with the choice of paying $1749 for an X1C with AMS, no high flow nozzle, no actively heated chamber, and a build volume that matched my P1S in every dimension, or just buying the K2 Plus to see if Creality finally had a high quality printer. I purchased the K2 Plus from Creality about 2 weeks ago, where I had found a notable lack of high profile reviews for the printer, and thus assumed I was getting a larger print volume version of the X1C; spoiler alert, I wasn't... what I was getting was a slightly better, and larger format version of the X1E. When you consider that Bambu wants $2700 for that unit with an AMS. Here are the upgrades over the X1C... 1. Larger build volume (350mm vs 256mm) 2. Actively heated chamber 3. High Flow, Hardened Steel Hot End (this is a $80 upgrade) 4. Linear Rail for the Extruder 5. Higher Hot End Temp (350c vs 300c) 6. Better Filtration The upgrades over the X1E are... 1. High Flow, Hardened Steel Hot End 2. Larger Build Volume (350mm vs 256mm) 3. Higher Hot End Temp (350C vs 320C) BUILD QUALITY If there's one thing that's impressed me the most about this printer, it is the build quality. It has a die cast aluminum frame, linear rail for better stability, glass door and side panels, and a 5mm thick aluminum alloy build plate. It is a solid build and you notice it right out of the box. PERFORMANCE On average, single filament performance is about 25% faster than my upgraded P1S. It gets a lot closers on multi color filament performance but that is largely due to the filament change speed and reduced filament flushing where the P1S is better optimized at this time. PRINT QUALITY The quality of the prints with PLA and PETG from multiple different vendors has been fantastic. There have been no notable issues at all and that's pretty impressive considering I hadn't even made custom profiles for 3rd party filament yet. CMS vs AMS The base AMS appears to have a hygrometer in it, but Bambu hadn't activated it, until they launched the AMS 2 and then it was only visible in the slicer. On top of this you had to print a holder and buy a 3rd party hygrometer to be able to see the humidity levels in that AMS. Even more, the build was more complex, as the AMS required you to remove screws to get at the PTFE tubes should you need to replace them and there was no release option to release the rear PTFE tube without opening the inside. The CMS has open access to the PTFE tubes on the bottom, so you can easily replace those without breaking out tools. There's also a PTFE tube release on the back of the device and that makes it so much easier to deal with there as well. In addition to this, there's. hygrometer and display built into the CMS that can clearly be seen from across the room. One other advantage this has is the fact that the rollers in the CMS are rubber and these allow you to use cardboard spools, without requiring a 3rd party bracket to be printed for the spools. As far as the filament and waste goes, the K2 Plus wastes a whole lot more than the AMS, but given the state of their current software, I see no reason to believe this will not improve over time. SOFTWARE If there's any place I would ding the K2 Plus it would be the Creality Slicer. Although it isn't horrible, it is nowhere near as mature as Bambu Studio at this time. Even more it is a modification of ORCA Slicer (which Bambu Studio is as well), yet they went out of their way to make it look like the inferior CURA slicer. It is functional, even if it takes getting used to and missing some optimizations as well. Another piece of software is the Creality Cloud Mobile App vs Bambu Handy. With the Handy, if you change the nozzle size, you'll run into all kinds of issues tryin to print files from this, as there is no built in slicer for Bambu's mobile app. Creality Cloud Mobile, has a cloud slicer, this is infinitely superior to the Bambu solution, as I can have any size nozzle I want in the printer and start a print from anywhere that I have an internet connection and that's something that has frustrated me about Bambu for months! OVERALL Honestly, this printer has been far more impressive to me, than any other printer I've ever owned and that list includes, Snapmaker, Elegoo, Bambu, and Creality. After looking at the other reviews, it is clear that the biggest issue has been with damage during shipping and the 2nd biggest issue with a coupler that holds the PTFE tube on the extruder (there's a fix for this with a part that prints in under 4 minutes, if I can find the link I'll add it as a comment to this review). So, Creality literally beat Bambu at their own game and this is pretty much superior to just about any single extruder Bambu printer on the market! Yes it literally is that good, assuming it makes it to you in one piece.

How it works out of the box seems pretty hit and miss. From what I can tell it is pretty common if you are printing multicolor weekly you will likely have plenty of troubleshooting and HARD BREAKDOWNS. It can be difficult to get ahold of support and some of the parts (many of the ones that will break sooner) have a shorter replacement policy. I had contacted support within the first couple of weeks to send me replacement parts for things that had already broken. Sometimes I did not get a response for a week or more. But as long as you can identify the actual problem and supply evidence, they send new parts. The first month was a massive struggle to keep the printer going. There are a ton of "fan boys" on the FB groups who will treat you like you are the problem. There is a ton of room for operator error, and I did learn a lot but the machine is far from flawless. With that being said, I hear regardless of the fan boy songs Bambus are also not problem free. I was surprised with the number of problems this thing had out of the box, but the system gives you one hell of a start for the price. Once the major problems had passed, I will say, I will keep it and I am glad I have it.

At first i would have given this a five-star review. I'm a new user and expected a learning curve with my prints. But with 7 accumulated days of printing my machine had Bowden tube issues, where it would come out of the extruder and fill my printer bed with filament. with a little research i determined this was a common problem. i got horrible after sales help from creality customer service. i needed a 20$ part and i got the runaround. Thankfully Best Buy solved the problem and ordered a totally new machine for me. Thank You Best buy, you are the best!

This is a solidly built 3d printer, with a lot of really excellent design decisions throughout. Excellent engineering and some clever automation in the bed leveling, nozzle cleaning, PA calculation, etc. Because of all those automations (many default to run every print) sometimes it can take 10-15 minutes before a print starts. Filament changer is a great tool, but it is just a tool, like any other. It can have issues and it will take some learning to get used to it. 3d printers have come a LONG way in 10 years, and the Creality K2+ is on the cutting edge.

Customer service is not existent. The machine is NOT worth buying maybe in a year when they work out all the bugs. I am not new to 3d printing and have about 6 years doing this. So I have been around the block a time or 2. I have had better luck with windows error messages. Sometimes I just get an "UNKNOWN ERROR" and I have to shutdown and restart. First the PTFE fittings are junk, the teeth that hold the tube fall out and then get wedged in the extruder causing the cutter problems. The buffer tube that the CFS tube goes into will fail with a blue light (filament detected) I have gotten really good at taking the Extruder apart and fixing something that I can't find or a clog that is non existent. Since I can't get a hold of customer service (Whatsapp, Email, Auto reporting, Creality website, phone, and email I have had to order parts from Amazon to the tune of a 100 bucks. This is not even a Guarantee that these parts will fix it. DO NOT BUY YET, wait a year and then see if they fixed the issues they are having.
