I had recently purchased the Creative T20s and was quite impressed with the sound quality from such a small pair of speakers. The base and highs were surprisingly crisp and clear. So I figured the T40s would sound even better.....they don't...not by much anyways. So do buy the Creative T20s but save $50 and don't bother with the T40. I gave these speakers a good rating because they are pretty decent just not much better than their little brothers the T20.

For the price that I paid for these speakers, they have a very nice sound. The speakers fit on the desk very nicely. Some people complained about the blue light around the volume knob but, it doesn't bother me. If you want nice sounding speakers that fit on the desk, I would recommend these speakers.

Had factory Sony's before and these blow them away. Sound is full in highs and lows I have high end home theater and consider myself a serious music person and for a computer speaker these sound great and fill the room for there small size. Excellent build quality and design. Nice looking with covers off.

First I tryed the Bose companion 2 series speakers and I took them back to me the speakers did not sound good with my new hp laptop and I knew that creative spearkers had good sound just like I thought. The Giga Works series 2 system is by far better it was worth the extra and I sure enjoy the sound.

I purchased these speakers to replace computer speakers that came with my first computer 20 years ago.The speakers price and appearence were what I based my buying decision on.The speakers were easy to set up and the sound quality was more than expected.

These speakers go in standby mode if no sound is detected in a few minutes, and they take about 3 to 4 seconds to come out of standby. This makes you miss any audio in that 3 to 4 seconds and any alerts if you have them connected to a computer. And no way to disable that feature. And the Power supply for the speakers remains on, so there is no power savings. What's the point of the standby mode? Sound quality is not good enough to overlook the annoyance of the standby feature.
