PROS:
* 7 quart size for parties/guests
* Easy to clean
* Included food/sauce warmer
* Lighter than my old crockpot
CONS:
* No digital timer
* Food/sauce warmer is hand wash only
== Usage ==
The larger size is really great for bigger families or if you’re inviting guests over. Despite its size, it’s not as heavy as I was expecting, which is nice for getting the crockpot in/out of storage.
This particular crockpot does NOT included a digital timer, but rather has two time buttons for HIGH temp and two time buttons for LOW temp cooking. I’m fine with this since I can just use my phone’s virtual assistant to set a specific timer, but I certainly would have preferred a digital timer.
Just put in your ingredients, set the higher time than needed (and set a timer using your phone or a traditional kitchen timer), and then just go about your day.
== Cleaning ==
I am so happy that both the removable cooking stoneware AND the lid are dishwasher safe! The less items I need to wash by hand ONLY, the better. Unfortunately, the included food/sauce warmer needs to be hand washed, but I’m not that upset due to its small size and that I won’t be using it every time I use the crockpot.
== Bottom Line ==
In my opinion, if you have a kitchen, you should try to have a crockpot. There are so many recipients that are just flat-out BETTER if they’re slow-cooked. This is a simple to use (and super simple to clean) crockpot, and I recommend checking it out.

Nice basic crockpot

First, I love the locking lid. How great for carrying the crockpot to a potluck or other event. It will NOT spill.
The controls are very basic and limited which is why I took one star away. You keep hitting select and it will cycle through your choices- High for 4 or 6 hours and Low for 8 or 10 hours (and warm). You cannot select 4 hours on low or 8 hours on high. That does limit cooking a bit in my book
I do like the mini crockpot! I am currently on clear liquids following surgery and I love that I can put some broth in there, and keep it warm all day allowing me to ladle out small cupfuls at a time.
I did check the temperature of the mini crockpot with just water to see how quickly it heated and to what temp (there is no temp control on the mini).
It holds 2 cups of liquid. In 20 minutes the water had heated to 102 degrees. The highest temp I recorded was 135 degrees so be aware if you are putting dip or other foods that should not be that hot.
The lid to the mini is very thin plastic. More for keeping bugs out than heat in.

Large capacity, clean design & bonus little dipper

I really like the capacity and the design of this model. Family size meals are no problem with this crock pot and the locking lid is a great feature. So far we have only used it to make sides, but I can't wait to try a roast.
Pros
- Solid build quality
- Clean, simple design
- Large capacity makes slow cooking roast and large batches of dips/sides no problem
- Locking lid makes it easy to cook a dish and bring it to share with friends/family.
- Oven and dishwasher safe (I prefer to wipe it out by hand, which was very easy).
- Has a keep warm setting, which activates automatically after the set cook time.
- Matching little dipper is great for sauces and dips (it is also cute)
Things to Consider
- The controls are easy to use and you really don't need the instructions, but they do limit your options. I wish the heat setting was independent of the timer. High is for the 4-6 hours settings and low is only for the 8-10 hour settings. This makes cooking some dishes on low a pain, because you have to set it to low and then time it to remember to set it to warm/turn it off.

The basic story: The main unit is a nice, fairly basic slow cooker. It’s a bit of an upgrade from the previous iteration of this unit that we had used for 15+ years. It will do what a slow cooker is supposed to do, and it does it well.
Three great new features (for us): 1) a gasket on the lid, which creates a nice seal even when the lid is just resting on the unit it; 2) clips that lock down the lid, making the whole unit a little safer to transport when full; 3) a new button display that has the same basic settings of “off,” “low” and “high” and “warm” but also includes a time function (set for 8 hours or 6 hours) and an auto-switchover to “low” after the selected time has elapsed.
The previous crockpot we had was very similar other than these upgrades. The bigger difference was that the unit was circular rather than oval-shaped, so this new one is more oblong but less tall. That doesn’t make a huge difference, but is a little less awkward to deal with the insert in the sink and it just seems maybe like it’s more efficient because of the surface area being more spread out. I don’t know if that’s really true (we did not conduct scientifically accurate tests), but I think the oval shape is overall a plus, and may make cooking certain kinds of items easier.
The stoneware insert is nice. In this test round of cooking, it was easy to clean and came out quite unscathed from its initial run. It’s nice and white after a round of pulled pork with bbq seasoning.
It’s heavy, which is what you want, but know that going in. You may not want to hand this thing, hot and full, to grandma to put on the counter. That said, the locking lid will keep the contents safe even so.
We tested it by plopping about 3 pounds of pork, ready to cook, into the compartment and setting it on low for 6 hours. It had admirably roasted the pork by then to shredding stage, and it switched to “warm” automatically as we let the meat coast until dinner time. The gasket helps to keep the moisture inside, though there is a little steam vent on the lid too, don’t worry.
Operation is easy—that’s the whole point. If you want to set an exact temperature or pressure cook, this is not your machine. If you want to do overnight oats or stick a ham in there…this will do the job.
The negatives are more directed at the little bonus dipper unit. This little extra is a nice thing to have if you don’t have one. It does a good job keeping your little “extra” warm, but it has no real controls, so you have to keep an eye on the dipper contents. We had some warm spinach artichoke dip, and it got a bit too hot and needed to be unplugged. After a while we plugged it back in…and when we didn’t keep as close an eye, it started to burn a bit on the sides. It also doesn’t have a real lid (just a little plastic one) and is one complete unit. Since there is no insert to remove, that makes washing the dipper a little stressful, given the cord and heating element is all part of the deal. The previous crockpot we owned also had a little companion unit, and while that one also didn’t have a temperature control, it a) was bigger b) had a separate stoneware insert, just like its sibling and c) had a real, glass lid. We’ve chipped the original stoneware insert for the old one, but I don’t expect to throw that unit out until the thing breaks all the way. It’s just easier to use than the new one, which is OK but not great.
Bottom line: not fancy, but works as expected with some nice upgrades that likely make the unit better than the old one in the cupboard.

Man this is big. When the description says for a family they meant it. I cooked a meal from the included cook book, beef bourguignon. It was very tasty for my first try.
There are really only 3 settings; high low and warm.
On low the outside container gets warm but not overly. It did take over an hour to cool back down. My meal was for sure ready in under 8 hours.
I have a few things I did not like:
No place to put the lid if you are checking on food
No timer so you don’t know when food is ready
The smaller cooker does not have a removable inside

I absolutely LOVE this crockpot. I truly hope it lasts many years in my home. The mushroom color is absolutely to die for as it matches the neutral tones of my kitchen. I read some other reviews about it not staying on when programmed, but I have yet to encounter the same problem.
There are four settings, and this would be my only complaint about the product. It has HIGH for only 4 and 6 hour options and LOW for 8 and 10 hour options. I personally would prefer to decide High or Low for the time that I want to specify. However it does have the Keep Warm option which is essential.
I also like the travel friendly locking lid so I can easily bring food to gatherings will no worry of spills. Everything else is as expected, the stoneware both cooked fine in my oven and washed in my dishwasher. Worth the buy for sure!

New Features to a Classic Meal Cooker

I really like the versatility and convenience of a Crockpot. Easy to cook meals like a roast, ham, chili or sides like green beans are even easier than before, with the new 7 quart Crockpot that offers a digital button format. The settings are: High for 4/6 hrs cooking and Low 8/10 hrs keeping things warm. The buttons are located on the front of the Crockpot and are easy to see and push. Not to be out done by features, but the Crockpot comes in a designer “mushroom” color that blends in with your kitchen.
I put in some green beans with real bacon bits to cook for a meal. Of course I had to plan ahead to make sure the green beans would get fully cooked. I digitally selected the high setting for 4 hours on high. I didn’t have to cook all of 4 hours because they were ready ahead of schedule and it worked out great. Warmed up with no mess or fuss, the green beans were tasty especially with the real bacon bits. Once the Crockpot was cooled I pulled out the inner stoneware, and easily cleaned it in the sink. It was not difficult as nothing stuck to the sides or bottom. It is moderately heavy but that is completely in line with the other Crockpot products.
The Crockpot inner stoneware pot is also dishwasher safe, or you could use Crockpot liners. The liners fit inside the stoneware pot and the only cleanup is throwing the liner out! What ever way you decide to clean the Crockpot, it will be no fuss and ready for your next meal.
A real nice amenity of this particular Crockpot is the easy to do lockable lid (lid is made of tempered glass and is lightweight but plenty sturdy). How many times have you made Crockpot meals, especially during the holidays, and had to transport it to friends/family’s place. I have had to hold the Crockpot lid carefully so the contents would not spill out. Those days are now gone with the new rubber sealing locking lid. A clamp on each side secures the fit and locks the lid into place. Whenever you go to move the Crockpot, always use mitts if not the handles, or wait for it to cool off. Otherwise, touching the outside could cause you to burn your hands or even drop it.
Also included with the 7 quart Crockpot is a “Littte Dipper”! It warms and holds 16 oz to almost melting cheese or chocolate, kind of like a fondue but not quite as hot. It is not a cooker but a warmer. It is important not to put in anything that has not been cooked properly. I decided to make some cheese with salsa. I poured a fare amount of salsa added shredded cheese. Wow! It surprised me how quickly it warmed up, but after an hour the salsa and cheese were not melted, rather they were warmed up. When it cooled off for cleaning, I put a warm watered paper towel in the “Little Dipper” and simply wiped it clean. But just remember, the “Little Dipper” is a warming appliance not one that cooks. It is a nice little addition of the same “mushroom” color and takes up very little space.
There really wasn’t much downside or negative things to say about this Crockpot. I did think the cord was short. You will need to be near an outlet to plug in the Crockpot. Also keep the Crockpot 6 inches on all sides about 6 inches from the wall or whatever it may be near. The other thing I noticed is that this appliance heats up fast! Move it around to where you want it before you turn it on.
Crockpots have been around for years and years and are easy to use. This Crockpot is great because it has the updated features like: locking lid, dishwasher safe inner stoneware, programmable buttons and a “Little Dipper!”

This Crock Pot set is fantastic! It allows you to use it as a traditional Crock Pot - with a twist! It has hinged locking seals so you can travel with your food without worrying about spilling. It also has a bonus Little Dipper warmer which is great for side dishes! The handles are terrific, bigger than my previous crock pot for easy carrying.
One thing to note - when not in use, the hinges do prevent flipping the lid upside for storage. Not a bad thing, necessarily - just something to be aware of. (See third picture)
Highly recommend!

I don’t crockpot. I don’t know how to turn on a crockpot. I can wash them after my wife crockpots. I can’t speak for the tiny little extra pot it came with, I think she threw that away, but that’s fine because it is not the main event. It doesn’t matter the skill level of your wife or significant other for using a crockpot, but this one is the real deal folks. She had a different one after her OG crockpot failed, I won’t mention the name but it rhymes with Thamilton Breach. That was no good. She hated it from day one. I finally got the courage to buy a crockpot brand slow cooker, and boy is she a much happier lady when it comes to using her slow cooker. That alone is worth the purchase. The roast my wife makes is Michelin star worthy, the chili would be award winning, and queso dip is flawless and not burned on the bottom (we all know that guy and hope he doesn’t bring burnt queso to the party). We recently went to a potluck style dinner, because were classy like that, and a roar erupted when we entered the friends dwelling with her crockpot. Reason being is there were two other slow cookers, and the lids were taped to the bowl thingy, so as to not spill the contents during travel. The lid clips held snuggly, and our fears of hot food contents spilling everywhere were gone. Since my wife has nailed the art of the slow cooker, I have withstood the challenge of the clean up part. This pot cleans way too easy, definitely compared to the thamilton version. I have spent many an hour cleaning a slow cooker from food being over cooked due to a faulty timer or heat setting. I fear my wife might catch on to the simplicity of clean up and give me another task. If you, or your sig other are entry level, beginner, intermediate, highly skilled, professional or 5 star chef, this great little delight should be sitting proudly on your counters. Ours isn’t, it’s stuffed away in a lower cabinet, but it definitely could sit on the counter, I wouldn’t be mad.

I was really surprised Best Buy had Crock Pots
I was goggling and I came across this amazing deal. I wanted side locks so I could cook and not worry about leaking.
I wanted white it’s an off white beautiful color with smaller Crock pot for melting cheese or soups. Also just scooping from your main Crockpot to the table.
Or to carry to work or picnics.
Very happy! It also offered a Geek Warranty which I purchased. You never know.

Nice Basic Crockpot

When first pulling this crockpot out, I found it to be very basic.
It is a nice neutral that would match most kitchens. The few controls that
are offered (4,6,8 or 10 Hour options) makes this easy to use , but I would prefer a few more heating
options (temperature). The locking lid is a great feature, and the seal is tight. The
Crock material is quality and cleaned up beautifully. The rubber feet are nice as well, protecting any surface from scratches..
Functionally, it works great. Con - I was unimpressed with the flimsy material used for the
outside of it. I feel as though it would dent easily. Time will tell.
I liked the small crockpot that came with this and would use this for dips,
but with no heating controls, I will have to monitor the heat when using it.
It will most likely be a lot of stirring and unplugging to make sure nothing
burns.
If you are looking for a larger basic crockpot, this is a great choice.

Works phenomenal. I turned it on and it heated up super fast. I placed the meat with all the ingredients and it was delicious in the 6 hours I placed it for. I loved how as soon as the 6 hours were up it turned off. The space & shape of this crock pot is really good. Its so easy to use and I also loved how the top is clear so you can see how its coming along. It's very convenient that you are able to remove the pot to wash it. Only con I can think of if any, is you do have to be careful because it gets very hot.

I have had this Crockpot for 2 years now and I cannot complain. I have used it for multiple occasions. I love the locking lid for traveling. Gets warm really quick. Sometimes gets too hot but would rather that than not hot at all.
