I bought this to replace my SONY turntable. Crosley has an extensive lineups of turntable and they should be the master of turntable motor as compared to SONY. My SONY turntable broke down when I hardly used it. This turntable is basic turntable that has all the features that I needed, nothing fancy, just plug into the receiver and speakers, and I can play all my old vinyl records. It serves the basic requirement and I hope it lasts.

First turntable didn't play. Belt was stuck. Contacted manufacturer & went back & forth. Contacted Best Buy & they sent a second turntable as courtesy. Second one didn't work. Returned first one to manufacturer after finally received a call from them & they sent a new one weeks later. Third one finally worked. Wonder for how long???

Was sent a product from returns and it wasn't specified, on top of that the dust cover was broken in transit and the belt was reassembled wrong.

    A Great Entry-Level Turntable - Crosley's Best

This is essentially an Audio-Technica turntable in all but name. For comparison's sake, this turntable is virtually identical to the AT-LP60, yet sells for a lower price. It comes with a permanent AT cartridge and AT 3600-N stylus installed, and the stylus can even be upgraded to a better-quality AT 3600 if you so choose. The included hinged lid and felt mat are a nice touch. Setup is pretty straightforward. Right out of the box, be sure to loop the belt around the motor (there are instructions for this) or else the turntable won't turn! It is also a good idea to make sure the turntable is on a flat surface before playback, and it may be necessary to "prop up" the feet underneath it to level it out and ensure proper play. On my unit, the motor initially played too slow at 33 RPM speed. Thankfully, this model allows you to adjust the speed of the motor manually by flipping the turntable over and using a screwdriver to tweak the voltage screws on the motor. This should sound familiar to anyone who's ever owned a Walkman, and it's the same general idea - it an analogue piece of equipment, and may need periodic adjustment. Once everything is properly adjusted, playback on this turntable is excellent, especially given its price point. You cannot adjust the tracking weight of the tone arm, but as it is, it does seem a little light. There is also a bit of static on most playbacks, so I would recommend either cleaning your LPs before each spin or investing in a thin cork mat. Myself, I use both the default felt mat and a thin cork mat on top, and find that helps to reduce static and ensure smoother playback. Your mileage may vary. For as Crosley-branded turntable, this is probably the best that the brand has to offer. It offers much, much better sound than any of their "suitcase" models, and the aluminum tonearm and low tracking weight give good playback without fear of damaging the LPs due to too much drag. The automatic functions work well, too, and it is nice to have the tonearm return to its starting position after each playback. Definitely recommended, especially if you are willing to tweak it a bit before giving it some heavy use. Not a "set and forget" unit by any means - but then again, very few turntables are.

When I finally got it to start turning, I couldn't get it to stop! More hassle than the good deal I thought I was getting. Taking it back today.
