----- SUMMARY ----- Verdict: I’m glad I decided to upgrade my RAM and chose the Crucial Pro 32GB Kit. These RAM modules have helped me eliminate slowdowns, even with performance-demanding programs and games running. There’s nothing fancy about the design, but I like the sleek and modern look. The Crucial Pro 32GB Kit is a good value that delivers on its performance promise. Pros: - Sleek design and modern look - High-quality aluminum heat spreader - Easy installation (may vary based on PC) - Exceptional performance Cons: - None ----- DETAILS ----- Installation: Since the installation steps may vary from PC to PC, I won’t go into detail. However, I think it’s worth mentioning that I had no issues installing this Crucial Pro 32GB Kit on my Alienware Aurora R13 desktop. I had two open slots, and the Crucial RAM modules slid in easily. My PC recognized the newly installed RAM as expected. Design: From basic designs without a case to those with RGB lighting, you can find a wide array of RAM module designs on the market. I’m going for a sleek and simple look for my PC, so the matte black aluminum heat spreader on the Crucial Pro 32GB modules is just what I was looking for. The aluminum feels high quality and gives the RAM modules a modern look. Features & Performance: The standout feature of the Crucial Pro 32GB Kit is its speed. DDR5 is up to 1.75x faster than DDR4 (5,600MT/s vs 3,200MT/s). Just make sure your PC supports DDR5 memory, as it’s not backward compatible with DDR4. Where you do have some flexibility is the speed. These RAM modules are downclock-capable, so if your PC only supports 4,800MT/s, they can operate at that speed. That’s the case for my PC, and it works flawlessly. Multitasking and gaming with these Crucial RAM modules installed is a joy. I tend to have numerous tabs and several programs running at once, and I feel like they’re all running at 100% speed. Before, I could see my PC struggling a bit with the workload. Gaming doesn’t disappoint either. I’m seeing higher frame rates than before and no screen tearing. ----- WHAT’S IN THE BOX ----- 2 x 16GB DDR5 RAM Modules

Overclocking with AMD EXPO! FAST! FAST!

My goal was to build an affordable gaming computer on a budget. I started with the ASUS TUF GAMING A620M-PLUS WIFI motherboard and added components that were compatible with the AMD Expo overclocking technology. I specifically stuck with Asus because they have come out and publicly stated they would support overclocking using AMD Expo and it would not void the warranty. In a gaming computer every component could be the weakest link, so I chose carefully. For RAM I went with Crucial, a company whose products I’ve used for many years. They have never failed me, and I trust their product quality and warranty. I chose their 5600 MHz DDR5 Pro 32GB RAM Kit (2 x 16GB), which while almost the same price as the motherboard is well worth it. Crucial supports AMD Expo on Intel and AMD platforms for overclocking. I went on to build the rest of the system using other quality components from companies that have been around for years. The result is a gaming computer that came in just under $1,500 (USD). It’s super easy to spend a lot on components, but you really don’t need to if you match them well (and catch some sales). Plus, people will throw a lot of money buying the top component in each category and then never use the system to its full potential. This system is perfect for all my gaming needs (and business needs too). The Crucial memory is a critical part of this configuration. It’s fast, reliable, comes from a company that I trust, and is compatible with AMD Expo (and Intel XMP 3.0). I ran a battery of memory tests, and they are all impressive and reflect the performance numbers that you can find on Crucial’s website. For me I am happy that my system is rock-solid stable, boots quickly, I’ve not received any indication of memory errors (even during overclocking). All my video games play smoothly and at high frame rates. There are several memory manufacturers, several of them offer less expensive options. But why risk it for a few extra dollars. Crucial is owned by Micron Technology, a $30 billion company that has been around since 1978. With a limited lifetime warranty on their products, I don’t waste time looking for cheaper options. 5 Stars!

    DDR5 is the way

Crucial has always been a great company for memory among consumers. I have had good experience with them overall. Please keep in mind DDR5 is not backwards compatible. You will need a newer motherboard and CPU that supports DDR5. The matte black aluminum finish of the heatsink looks stylish and minimalistic, more of a "pro" move to clean up nicely within your build. 32GB is plenty of memory for most use cases and it comes in at a great price. The build used is a AMD Ryzen 5 7600x CPU, GIGABYTE B650M Aorus Elite motherboard, and GIGABYTE Gaming OC RX7900 XTX graphics card. I was able to configure everything very easily. This is a great plus not having to deal with tuning within the BIOS. It works great right out of the box. My system ended up taking a dump and I believe I need a new m.2 storage drive to run. BUT while I was up and running, I was able to check out quite a few things.. Gaming- It is said that having this newer DDR5 memory helps to improve your gaming due to it's higher speeds. It is 1.75x faster than the previous DDR4. This memory has 5,600MT/s transfers compared to DDR4's data rate of 3,200MT/s. Based off your system build, I believe you can get improved graphics but having a good dedicated graphics card also goes a long way. My RX7900 may be overkill for my usage but it does the job well. Creators- This being a pro grade kit, I expected my multi-tasking to benefit greatly. I was able to have many instances of photo editing software like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, while running back ground tasks, Chrome, Steam and other random apps without a hiccup. This build of mine is mainly to work on my photo edits and thus, I welcome the faster speeds. If you are coming from DDR3 (like me), this is such a valuable upgrade considering the price for performance. Even coming from DDR4, you will get improved speeds with your 12th gen Intel Core or AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. Take a look at it yourself.

Given hardware these days, there aren’t too many things you can “affordably” do to get some more performance out of your system. Upgrading or adding more RAM is, mostly, one of those things. I think for the money spent, of course given your needs, it is one of the best ways to give a system a little boost. As for these sticks, first, I like the look. I know for many this is not a concern, and, honestly, given trends, these would be considered plain and boring. Plain. Black. Simple. Sleek. Minimal branding. Some will probably want more, but these are perfect for me and what I want. Performance-wise, I couldn’t be happier. Everything is little smoother, I can push games a little harder, and even my open tab problem…is not a problem. I really don’t know what to say here, it does what I want. It gets the job done. It doesn’t require much attention once installed. Of course, know your system, speeds, compatibilities, and voltages. DDR5 is still a bit finnicky. You do have a little play here, and could speed down, but I was able to hit 5600 without issue. In the end, this RAM has worked for me, and I have zero complaints. Solid and steady performance, a little futureproofing, and those sweet plain looks that I appreciate. Importantly, all of that also comes at a decent price point. I really think the value is there. I think for most workloads and software environments, 32GB should be more than fine. I guess it would also be my floor if I was forced to pick. Obviously, be sure of your needs, and absolutely check motherboard and general compatibility issues beforehand, but I think most would be happy with this in their systems.

The crucial DDR5 pro is literally that. A pro. This part is typical for gamers and professionals but so not let that scare you. It’s still an upgrade from the previous model DDR4. When you think of an upgrade there should be no cons. And I feel that this fits the bill. Performance improvements are there with speed and quality. You will get the full performance only if you machine is compatible. These are your buffer” between the CPU and the hard drive, allowing the CPU to quickly access and manipulate data without having to access the slower hard drive constantly. Again these are ideal for gaming and multimedia performance. Install is fairly easy. I strongly suggest watching a YouTube video of install before attempting if you’ve never done it before. It’s a precaution to install correctly and make sure the unit preforms at its best or there is no point. Goes without saying right but the smallest issue while installing can set your unit up for failure in the long run. Overall this is a perfect upgrade.

If i could give this memory more stars i would. So you bought that shiny new 12th Gen Intel Core or AMD Ryzen 7000 Series cpu and motherboard. So you look in disgust at your 32,64 or 128 gig of DDR 4 memory and you can't use it. Well i know it sucks because you spend your hard earned money from mowing lawns all summer to buy your DDR4 memory but it's not compatible with the new cpu you just bought. But in a way it's a good thing. So the memory in my old system is DDR4 3600 and that's fast for DDR4 But the new DDR5 memory stock speed is DDR5 5600 so rite off your looking at a 2000 difference. DDR5 compared to DDR4 is supposed to be anywhere from 50% to 100% faster than the DDR4 series memory. So out of the game your system will definitely feel a lot more responsive when doing something as little as loading a webpage depending on your internet speed also to loading windows 11 or starting a game and loading your maps in games. I was pleasantly surprised how much faster my world of tanks game loaded to start the game and when starting a battle and once the battle was over getting back to the garage screen. It has a lot more zip now and i mean i can easily tell the difference because it cut down about 4 to 10 seconds in loading the game to starting and ending a battle. So this 32 gig set out performed my 64 gig set of DDR4 memory hands down. Now you have to know this DDR5 memory is keyed like your DDR4 memory but it will not fit in your DDR4 memory slots because it's not keyed the same and even if you somehow made it fit DDR4 motherboards will not use DDR5 memory so your system would not boot anyways even if like i said somehow you made it fit. DDR5 memory uses less power also just a little tidbit for overclockers so you mite be able to squeeze more speed out of your DDR5 emory than you could your old DDR4 memory. Also note that if you get a shiny new motherboard that supports DDR5 memory those boards are not backwards compatible to use DDR4 memory unless there is a motherboard out there i do not know about but not saying there is not i just do not know of any and it's because of the key setup on your memory slots. They normally do that so you don't put your memory in backwards and i have seen a lot of people try to do that. So if you already have a new next gen AMD or Intel motherboard and you are looking for a decently priced 32 gig kit of DDR5 memory that is pretty fast your looking at the rite memory. They do make faster DDR5 memory than this i have seen 6000 and 7200 also but you will easily pay double the price for that memory. They also make DDR5 memory that is slower but why would you want that, you mite save a few bucks but you will definitely feel a performance hit with the slower memory. This memory is awesome for gaming and whatever else you are doing. So if your upgrading to a new system or looking for some nicely priced DDR5 memory that won't break the bank here you go. I highly recommend this memory, I can't recommend it enough it's great memory

A Powerful Boost with the Crucial Pro

One of the standout features of the Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM Kit is its low-profile design. The sleek, matte black, aluminum heat spreader not only gives it an elegant and sophisticated look but also ensures excellent heat dissipation. With this kit installed, my system remains cool and stable even during intense multitasking sessions or demanding gaming marathons. What truly sets the Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM Kit apart is its remarkable speed. This next-generation DDR5 RAM is a game-changer. The performance increase compared to previous RAM technologies is evident from the moment you start using it. Applications load faster, and complex tasks are executed with unparalleled speed and efficiency. The responsiveness of my system has improved dramatically, resulting in a seamless and smooth user experience. Another notable advantage of the Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM Kit is the limited lifetime warranty provided by the Crucial. This peace of mind assures me that the product is built to last, backed by a company that stands behind its quality. It's reassuring to know that if anything were to go wrong, I can rely on Crucial's exceptional customer support to resolve any issues promptly. While some may argue that the design of the Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM Kit is a bit plain, but that is purely subjective and that doesn't affect the performance in any way. Personally, I appreciate the minimalist aesthetics. Ultimately, it's the power and reliability that matter most, and this RAM kit delivers on both fronts flawlessly. The Crucial Pro 32GB DDR5 RAM Kit is a true powerhouse when it comes to upgrading your system's performance. With its low-profile design, superior heat dissipation, lightning-fast speed, and lifetime warranty, it offers an exceptional package that's hard to beat. I highly recommend the Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM Kit to anyone seeking a substantial boost in their computing experience.

I have always looked at RAM as one of the most important items in computers. The continual need for RAM speed, throughput and size increases as applications and windows becomes more advanced with updates. As soon as I saw these RAM sticks from Crucial I decided to jump onboard and try them out. I am so grateful that I did as these RAM sticks are fast and the heatsink is great at keeping them cool. The RAM works great for those who with to overclock and those who wish to use at stock settings. They are very well make, feels durable and easy to install. I strongly recommend going with PC builds that are at least 16GB or higher as Windows 10/11 takes up so much of the RAM along with running applications in the background. So far I have tested these RAM sticks with Adobe Premier video editing/compiling and gaming. Both can use up to 13GB of ram depending on video size and game. Each test I was very impressed with the performance and speeds along with how cool the ram sticks were after the stress load. Overall I strongly recommend these RAM Sticks!

The Crucial Pro 32GB Kit is a solid performer that highlights the benefits using DDR5 instead of DDR4 memory. Since DDR5 and DDR4 kits are incompatible with each other, it's difficult to do an apples to apples comparison especially when you're using different CPUs, timings, and transfer speeds. Fortunately, I was able to move my GPU (6800 XT) among different systems to highlight performance. After testing 7-8 games, it was clear that DDR5 does have an advantage over the DDR4 standard. On average, my FPS performance increased by at least 10-12 FPS in comparison to my DDR4 system. On paper, this doesn't seem major, but moving from 49 FPS to 60 FPS does allow for a better overall gaming experience. My verdict is as follows: if you starting a new build that supports DDR5 then this memory kit is great to have. However, if you currently have DDR5 kit at a lower speed then this probably won't provide a dramatic uplift in performance. I'm pretty satisfied with this kit because it helps me to get over a FPS hump in more demanding games.

I had another manufacturers RAM in my computer and it unexpectedly stopped working. Thankfully, this Crucial RAM came in clutch to save my day. Reasonably priced as well, low profile, and doesn’t contain the gaudy RGB’s which imo is probably the reason my other RAM stopped working.

I am not a min/maxer but I knew that for DCS VR I needed at least 64GB of RAM. The specs matched what was installed in my rig. The matte black is nice because I staggered my OEM-included RGB RAM with these and the black really blended into the background. No issues with performance. Good Value, I would recommend.
