After having this Backup for a yr now. I can confidently say this thing is a life saver. More than two dozen times my power has surged or failed and this Backup has continued to power the following: 1. 43 in 4k Tv 2. Modem + Router 3. High end PC 4. Lamp 5. Smaller Monitor 6. 43 in Sony Bravia 4k TV 7. XBSX 8. PS5 All while having 90+ min to shut everything down. or wait to see if the power comes back on quickly. The Power surge protection is truly important. Having a sudden Surge can disrupt components, hardware and fry systems. For anyone with an older home, poor wiring in the home or just wanting to protect thier equipment this is an absolute must have. Also recommend the smaller Batt Backup that looks like a surge protector. That one works extremely well. For smaller things like lamps, Clocks, or other things you want to stay on during an outage.

For the $200 price point you can't ask for too many more features. The on-device display is surprisingly comprehensive and the back-up power advertised is really close to my actual testing. This is my second one. My first is 2 years older and still holds a charge as good as it did on day one. My only down is the control PC software. It is very underwhelming, and lacking in any features other than basic, basic stats. Overall, A+ Spend the extra to get something powerful and worth it.

Replacement battery backup system for my gaming PC, I had a UPS 1200 for almost 20 years before it would no longer charge the batteries. This one does much more (the front USB is so useful for keeping my headset charged!) and shows a lot of info on the screen. Definitely an upgrade, and a good priced one.

I purchased this unit to compliment the GX1500U that I use in my electronics closet. This unit is simulated sine wave (the GX1500U is true sine wave). It is ideal for keeping the power on to all of the wall warts that keep the network up and running. I have a Generac whole-house generator so power outages never last more than 15 seconds. The CyberPower units ensure that the theater components and the router/switch/LAN devices never see an interruption. I've had no issues with these units running off of my generator. YMMV.

I have only had it for two days and was charged for 48 hours. I need it to keep my wifi and cameras online during short outages. I bought this one because it has Ethernet protection for my modem too. Will come back with a follow-up review in ninety days and then a year.

It was performing perfectly as I was expecting it to perform when the other day the flicking of my screen on my laptop returned at headache levels that I shutdown my laptop and was considering returning the item deciding that it wasn't going to be the kind of voltage or power regulation that was what I thought to be causing the problem. I'm still on the fence on pulling the plug on this device and returning it to whence it came from, that place being Best Buy, because I am currently trying the software for the CyberPower 1500 AVR LX1500GU3. Which must be downloaded from Cy erPower website as it has numerous settings which lets the user adjust the frequency and sensitivity when and how often the Automatic Voltage Regulation and Sinewave output as well as what criteria are used to begin using battery power as opposed to AC is used when the voltage rises to..., or drops below a certain level causing intervention by the batter. Plus, other settings which are more than I wish to go on about. Not sure if I would recommend yet but I'll say, "yes," for now.. .

The power supply is great plug and play however when it turns on it starts beeping. Which is great so you know when it switched on however, little complicated to turn it off so make sure you keep the manual!

    Large, Powerful Battery Backup System

I’ve made it a point to keep my sensitive electronics on a UPS for the last twenty years. These modern UPS systems work a lot better than the old ones where I was lucky if I got 3 or 4 minutes to quickly shut everything down. The CyberPower LX1500GU3 is the most powerful battery back-up system that I have ever owned. With USB-C and USB-A charging ports, a hefty battery, a large on screen display, and a total of 10 outlets, the LX1500GU3 is a solid battery back-up. I wish that it had a higher joule rating. As a surge protector, it feels a bit lacking. But, if you’re wanting to keep your sensitive electronic devices working as long as possible in the event of a power outage, I can easily recommend this battery backup. Battery Life: During my tests, I let the UPS charge up and then loaded the battery to see how long I could run my PC and networking switch on a full charge. Using a PC with an 800-watt power supply and a 32-inch LCD monitor, I got about 45 minutes on a full charge on two tests. Not quite the duration I was hoping for, but, again, your mileage will obviously vary based on the load. There’s a battery life estimator built-in to the back-up, but it was all over the place and, ultimately, wasn’t very accurate. When I first started my tests, the back-up estimated that it could run for 78 minutes with my equipment. Instead, I was feeling good to get 45 minutes. Experience: This backup is huge. It’s the biggest and heaviest UPS that I have ever owned. I really like the ten outlets on the back of the unit. Having two set off outlets for larger bricks is a nice touch. My only complaint with that is, that if I used a brick in the set off port, the LAN ports were then blocked. I don’t have any reason to use the COAX ports, but I with the LAN ports and COAX ports were located somewhere else and the back was strictly for power, but that’s just me. One thing that bothered me about this unit was the surge protection. The surge protection only has an 890-joule rating. That’s a bit lower than I am used to with UPS and surge protectors. Ultimately, the LX1500GU3 may work perfectly well as a surge protector, but I would definitely prefer a higher joule rating. I prefer something with 1,100 to 1,500 joules, but again that’s just what I’m used to. Perhaps this will work fine for most surges, but I’m just not sure. Some things that I really liked about this UPS are the manual breaker, the customizable utility quality, sensitivity adjustments, and the low battery warnings. To engage with settings, you hold down the display button until you get into a menu option. Holding the button down for two to three seconds acts as a menu selection tool. I’m not describing it particularly well, but it works very well. From the menu, you can turn off the audible alarm. (Very useful when you are testing the battery life at 2:00AM with your pregnant wife in the neighboring room.) Plugging the USB accessory into a PC or laptop will work near instantly. Running on my Windows 10 PC, the battery shows up in the taskbar. I can then set my PC to automatically hibernate or shutdown when battery life reaches 5%. Conclusion: If you’re looking for a large battery back-up with plenty of customizable settings, the LX1500GU3 is a good option. I wish that it had more in the way of surge protection. The battery life was good, but battery estimator wasn’t terribly accurate. Still, this gives me more battery life than any other UPS I’ve owned. Based on battery life, built-in USB ports, and an easy to use interface, I'm recommending the CyberPower LX1500GU3. 4/5

    Well rounded desktop UPS

I've used UPSs both in desktop forms and in server rooms for many years so I got to understand a bit what to look for in an UPS and to me this covers it all. - 1500VA is on the higher end for desktop UPS. These are among the ones with higher capacity. It supports up to 900W for battery backup. - AVR: Automatic Voltage Regulation. If the power gets too low or too high (In volts), the UPS will adjust to a safe operating range without having to use the battery. - Simulated Sine Wave: This is the AC output from the inverter. This works with desktop computers that have amore sensitive switching power supply. - Provides 5 battery/surge protection outlets and 5 that are surge protected only. This is a common setup in this type of UPS. Outlets are well spaced out and one of each are separated farther away to accommodate power bricks. - Batteries are fairly common 12V 9AH sealed lead-acid. The batteries are very simple to replace, among the easiest I've seen in this type of UPS. There are two simple screws on one side that hold the cover, which slides easily after pressing a tab. - It also has one USB and one USB-C ports in the front to charge devices without using an additional power adapter. These are limited to 4 Amps though. - Easy to read display. - Useful (and optional) software. Display: The display is bright and can it defaults to turn off after a few seconds. Pressing the display button turns it on and the same display button rotates different metrics. Holding the display button enters into configuration mode (It sets low and high values for AVR, beeper, etc). The display is easier to read than the monochrome LCD displays in other UPSs. It's very useful to see the input and output voltage, time remaining on battery and I particularly like to see how many watts the computer and monitor are drawing. Software: Like other higher end UPSs, this comes with an USB port that connects to the computer. I connected it to the docking station on my laptop. Without installing any driver, Windows 10 recognizes it as a second battery, but the charge indicator remains zero. I noticed something similar with other brand UPS I have on another desk. Then I connected a MacBook instead to the same docking station and this time macOS accurately displays the charge remaining on the UPS without any driver. So on my gaming windows laptop I then downloaded the personal software from CyberPower Systems web site and it's a nice and simple application that displays everything correctly, and allows to configure all the functions on the UPS. To my surprise, the same software is also available on macOS and they also provide a command-line version for Linux, which is available in Debian, RPM and tar formats. It makes sense to provide decent software since this company also provides data center solutions. CyberPower is an American company. The UPS is assembled in Philippines. Overall I'm very pleased with this. I wish the USB-C connector provided higher watts to run a laptop or fast charge a phone without another power adapter, but other than that It seems just right with AVR and sine-wave output on a 900W system being the key features. Display is also nice.
