    The outlet performs as described ... the power reading is a nice feature as is the thermal protection. Simple to set up and operate.

    Once paired to wifi can remotely turn on and off lights and power strips! Never wonder if you turned off curling / straight irons again! Jetsons bound

    I bought two of these units. With the first one, I called tech support when I couldn't get it to function properly. After spending more than an hour with him, he finally deemed it to be defective. I replaced it with a new unit and the same thing happened. I returned this one and will not attempt to get another one to work. Not even DLink's own tech support could figure out the problem.

    Wanted to detect motion with the delink motion sensor and the smart switch was suppose to turn on a lamp. After much experimenting, I could never get the two devices to talk to one another. Suspect a bug in the program.

    I bought this to control some Christmas lights on a schedule. Initially I had trouble setting up the device, but I called D-Link support and spoke with a rep there (his rep number was AR004611) who was very helpful in updating the firmware, getting the device working with the phone app, and showing me how to set up a schedule for it. It now works just as I expected.
