Open word experience coming at a time when there really isn't much worthwhile out.
I like the game just from the subject matter. It really is typical for the game type. Do mission,do side mission....get rewards to craft, level up etc. Scavenge supplies like ammo and fuel. rinse and repeat.
I have encountered MANY glitches and drop outs. This is not a refined game. But that seems normal for games in general any more. Rush it to market to make your numbers and let the gamers beta the game realtime.
Bottom line.....its ok since I bought it on sale.

I haven't gotten the chance to get around to this title yet, so I'm writing this review based off my girlfriend's opinions on it. She liked the game contrary to some negative reviews this game had gotten. The gameplay is great and the open world setting is nice.
Don't expect a great story and strong characters akin to the first Last of Us, as both games do have similar settings, but it'll be enough to wrap you in. Overall, a great and fun game I'm told.

This game has good graphics, but gameplay is repetitive and sometimes I get bored. Buggy at some parts, story is pretty good though.

Days Gone is a game that squanders some of its potential for greatness, but depending on your tastes, you may end up loving it or hating it. On its face, Days Gone is a relatively standard zombie game, with enemies called Freakers out in the beautiful open world of eastern Oregon. These enemies aren't anything amazing; however, the big draw here are the Freaker hordes, which provide a new, exciting challenge for anyone who's become bored with the endless zombie games of the past decade. Groups of 50-100 zombies running after you can give you a thrill that's unlike almost any game before. Your main method of transportation is your motorcycle, which plays into the story about a former member of a biker gang, trying to survive a pandemic-induced apocalypse with the help of his biker brother as he searches for his long lost wife. The bike is a unique item, and if you're okay with having to keep up its fuel levels and overall maintenance, you'll enjoy the challenge the bike provides in traversing the environment. The story has received mixed reviews, and if you are not enjoying it, you probably won't make it through the roughly 40 hour long game. I happened to really enjoy it, and it kept me captivated the whole way through, but it may not land right with others, so ymmv. Days Gone may not have the polish and refinement of a Last of Us, but if you are interested in an open-world zombie game, this might scratch your itch. I will also note that Days Gone has received a recent patch which apparently allows it to run much better on a PlayStation 5 console, so if you are in the market for a PS5 and skipped some of the PS4 generation, I highly recommend this game for your new console.

I was a little skeptical of getting this because of the reviews but I honestly dont know of what. I read all this crap about bugs and repetitive objectives but that was it. I played this and yes I've had a FEW, like 2, bugs here and there and some stuff may seem repetitive but the game is good. You get a strange satisfaction from beating freakers with custom melee weapons. Story is good enough. Graphics are nice. The swarm offers a challenge. It feels like an open world last of us clone only not on the same scale as amazing.

Underrated game. Yes it’s another zombie apocalypse game, but there’s enough unique elements to set it apart, and an enjoyable story as well. I also believe it has awesome graphics that still hold up well today.

I really like this game. It reminds me as if The Last of Us was open world. I say this because the game is very similar. It deals with "Zombie like" apocalyptic conditions, you have a very good story, and have a very fun and effective crafting system. There is an emphasis on stealth in certain parts, but the game lets you make that choice yourself! There are parts that can be a little repetitive. However this is quickly a non-issue as you continue to explore.

At first the game was a little slow but i kept at it and I'm so glad I did. The story is amazing. Had moments that made me angry, sad, happy, shocked me, made me jump, nervous, so many thing. Had so much fun playing this game I didn’t want it to end. I highly recommend this game. I would even say to buy a PS4 to play it, it’s that good. Along with games like God of War and the other great exclusives getting a PS4 is an absolute must.

This game is so underated is a shame. It has all the qualities of a game of the year contender. Graphics, story, crafting, creepy atmosphere, its all here. Is a mix of last of us with walking dead or world war z. The motorcycle parts are fun. This game went under the radar for some reason but it earned the love of many true gamers. A hidden gem it is. Enjoy!

Open world zombie game, with impressive giant (and unbeatable- RUN!) zombie hordes. That’s about it, it’s got a lot of content (as you do in an open world game) though a lot of it is repetitive and sloggy- I feel like this is the descendant problem of the ridiculous difficulty of the 8 and 16-bit eras; “adding a ton of samey content to pad out a game” is the new “making a game ridiculously difficult to show value.”

I did not have high expectations when starting the game but I am really enjoying it 20 hours in. The graphics and controls are great, the story is intriguing, and there are little intricate details that help immerse you into the game's world. I typically don't enjoy open world games but the story is intriguing enough to make me keep playing. I also enjoy the setting.

But it's basic, I love the graphics and physics in the game, the swarm of zombies look scary and Freaker's themselves are tough. Not much to do but your missions. you can explore but little to do while exploring.. Multiplayer is none existent and would have saved this game and given a better review. Besides that, I like the game, it's not gonna wow you but it's good.. It would be a blast if pvp came into the picture.
