Slow charger is better than no charge

Seems to work well! I've only tested the passthrough power and the USB slots (for mouse and data). Compact and pretty smart design that seems like the protected cord will age well. My only complaint so far is that the charging rate is definitely significantly slower than the direct block straight to my Pixelbook, but better than nothing. I'll also add that when I plug into my monitor (Thinkpad screen with two USB C ports that support data, display, and power) it makes a disconcerting quiet buzzing noise, so I won't be doing that again, just stick with the laptop. Crossing my fingers that this hub is longer-lasting, since my last USB-C hub lasted just past its 30day warranty. Uploading a photo of the back of the box, which I think is clearer than the stock photos in its diagram of what ports this hub includes. Was ~$74 when I purchased (not sure I would buy at full price unless you know you're going to use all ports and need the passthrough power feature).

Handy. However, the cord connecting to my laptop is very short. Convenient way to plug in my cordless mouse and keyboard and HDMI to TV when I am using the laptop as my main PC at home and quick unplug when I need to just grab my laptop and go. Small enough to take along if needed though.

ONE PUCK (Hub / Docking Station) TO RULE THEM ALL

REVIEW: DELL DA310 USB-C MOBILE ADAPTER Best Buy Tech Insider Network ONE PUCK (Hub / Docking Station) TO RULE THEM ALL The DELL DA310 USB-C MOBILE ADAPTER will replace about 4 other gadgets in my briefcase and on my desk. This replaces, Power Supply to Laptop (with monitor that supports power pass through), USB Hub, DP (Display Port) adapter, VGA Adapter, HDMI Adapter, and Ethernet all in one clever device. While I only tested it on my late 2019 - Dell Inspiron 2:1 7000 (Win 10), it should work on most any device with a USB-C/Thunderbolt port. In the past I would take every kind of adapter I could think of on a business trip, because you never knew what kind of projector a customer has. Additionally, my Laptop only has 2 USB-A ports, and this allows me to expand that count to 4, which allows me to connect more external devices. If we are ever allowed to travel again, then this will lighten my load considerably. For desk use is really reduces the clutter of a separate power cord and monitor cable. Again, your monitor has to be able to support USB-C connections for video and power, not many did prior to 2020. I was easily able to connect to all the supported monitor types to the DELL DA310 USB-C MOBILE ADAPTER (one monitor at a time of course). I was able to run it with and without monitor power to supplement the device. I was able to charge my laptop from my monitor USB-C port, while simultaneously driving my monitor over the same USB-C port (with DP pass through) and still maintain full use of the USB port. PRO’s - Lightweight, and compact design - Self Storage of the cord - Easy to use (it just works) UNBOXING AND SETUP The DELL DA310 USB-C MOBILE ADAPTER is nicely packaged, but not wasteful. To set it up, just connect everything and start using it. SUMMARY / CONCLUSION / RECOMMENDATION The DELL DA310 USB-C MOBILE ADAPTER is one of the more handy and convenient portable docking stations / expansion hubs I’ve ever used. You could purchase a handful of gadgets to do the same thing, but why would you? All my other “one trick” gadgets are now going into the spare box of unused computer cables. I highly recommend the DELL DA310 USB-C MOBILE ADAPTER for travelers, or anyone who just wants to reduce the clutter on their desk a little more.

    Now with 90W power passthrough

I have a work laptop that's very locked down, including having bluetooth disabled. So I've been living with plugging in a USB mouse and also an HDMI cable to an external monitor. At least once a day, I unplug everything including power and move to another location to work and that's been a bit of a pain. Now, however, this adapter works great as a dock for that laptop. I can leave the mouse and monitor plugged into the hub, then just quickly pull the power cable and USB-C (from the hub) and move the laptop. When I bring it back and reconnect the hub, everything starts working almost instantly which isn't always the case with some other hubs I've used. If you're looking at the DA300 model vs. this one, I think the only difference is the DA310 has an extra USB-A port as well as the 90W power pass-through capability which can be a very useful feature. You can plug a USB-C power source directly into the hub, then it powers your laptop through the USB-C out cable as well as anything else you have plugged into the USB-A ports. I'll include a picture from the quick start guide that shows the various options pretty clearly. For external monitors, the hub has an HDMI, display port, VGA port, and USB-C (if you're not already using it for something else). However, it's important to know you can only use one of those at a time for video. So this won't work for you if you're trying to add two external monitors to your laptop, for example. The hub itself is about the size of a Hostess Ding Dong if you're familiar with those. The very short USB-C cable that goes to your laptop is very cleverly rolled up or released by twisting the hub. In a few seconds you can have the cable stowed away and the hub's ready to go in your backpack. Overall, I'm very pleased with this hub and would not hesitate to buy another if I needed it.

First off does not work across platforms. Apple and Android. The looks is clean and compact. I like the recoil action to store the cord. It has multiple connections but I find myself only using 2. The usb and hdmi. There 3 options: 1 without power deliver pass-through and 2 with power. Keyboards, mouse and usb thumb drives are and easy plug and play. Your computer with quickly recognize the plug in. My only suggestion is to know exactly what you need to connect for committing to its use. Also, if the connection is longer than 3inches then this dock will hang awkwardly.

    Compact, Portable Dock

This is the most compact dock I've ever seen or used. It is very small, and every time I show it to someone, they are shocked that it is, in fact, a computer dock. It definitely has a "cool" factor to it. It has all the major ports you need to connect a computer with a small number of ports to several peripherals. The only thing I dislike about it is that the USB-C port/cord that is supposed to connect to the computer is way too short. I had to buy a USB-C extender for each one of these I purchased.

As a Dell product, this has the quality that I have come to expect. I do like the fact that it allows many types of connections. The cord, however, is short. In some ways, I think that having connections on all sides versus one side makes it a little bulkier than if all of the connections were on one side.

This USB C dongle will connect mutiple devices and power delivery all at the same time. Great for carrying it around in your personal or work bag. Will connect mutiple screens and evaluate and play with your screen resolution as recommended by manufacturers, but again in many cases its just a plug and play with new modern laptops with USB C. Tons of ports ...yes I say Tons LOL. It will almost connect anything you have from display port to HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, USB C, USB etc and combo dongles of sort. Very comprehensive manufacturer high-quality connectivity. Again great for modern laptops that dont come with many ports. Its a good handy tool to have I have no complains and will highly recomend this

    Great 7-in-1 USB-C Mobile Adaptor

This adapter is very compact and lightweight, provides exactly what you need. It has one of the better combination of ports out there, and it looks really sleek, This is the adapter that you are looking for, for your MacBook Pro. It works in both Windows, and MacOS. I've been using it with my 2020 MacBook Pro with touchbar Bar & a company Dell precision laptop (for work) and so far, it has been providing me great results. This compact adapter can handle just about any connection scenario. The color is little different than my space gray macbook but other than that, it just looks like it was designed by apple when I use it with macbook. I can't tell how many time people have asked me if it was indeed an apple product. The adapter works right out of the box without installing any drivers. The whole thing is plug and play and works immediately on my computer with no fuss. The design is that you rotate it and the cable comes out, then you rotate it the other direction and it retracts the cable. I just think its so cleverly designed. It has all the major connections you'd want. I was surprised it had ethernet which came in handy. The form factor is perfect and offers the following range of ports: - 2 USB-A ports - 1 USB-C - 1- HDMI - 1 DisplayPort - 1 VGA - 1 RJ-45 port The cord retracts into the hockey puck-shaped adapter and it is very easy to throw in a bag and carry around. It is handy if you need to give presentations and are not sure what type of video plug you are going to encounter. So far I've had no issues with the ports. I wasn't sure from the pictures, so was glad to confirm that the plug cord is rubber and wraps around and snaps into the side for storage. I like that the monitor plugs are both in the back so the heavy monitor cable can lay back there rather than the front or side - whereas the USB is in the front for easy access. The ethernet in front is not handy, but luckily I don't have to use it that much - but those cables tend to be more flexible so I don't think it would be a problem. I just wanted a small adapter that I can carry with my computer and have quick access to the main 4 specific ports (HDMI, Ethernet port, USB & VGA) I encounter daily going to different rooms, different sites (for work), and to secure or underground locations which have wired ethernet only. This adapter fits the bill perfectly. I did not experience any of the problems. The only quibble I have is that the built-in cable should be a couple of inches longer for better positioning flexibility. This product is a little on the expensive side for a Windows peripheral. I would expect to pay something like this for an Apple peripheral. Yes it is expensive, but it does the job really well.

I bought this to go with my M1 Mac Mini, which has a limited number of available ports. The USB ports work okay. I didn't have any luck using the display port. It may be an Apple compatibility issue. Item was smaller than expected. I have not tried the HDMI or USB-C port yet.

So far, so good! Works great on my XPS, and chromebook. I haven’t tried the Mac yet, but hope it does as well. Compact size, and the retractable dongle (huh huh huh, dongle) make it great to throw in the backpack for all situations. It has more options than most compact USB-C accessories too.
