My old laptop was almost a decade old and was showing its age. When I had the opportunity I went to get a new laptop and decided on this one, for its tablet capabilities as well as its standard laptop uses. This Inspiron is a champ at loading software thanks to its solid state drive and the touch screen is very responsive. It’s probably not the best for gaming but if you want a laptop to watch your chosen streaming service, doodle with a stylus (I purchased a bamboo stylus with it), or do work/homework, you can’t go wrong for the price.

The chip is running noticeably faster then my old Dell. Also the new version of Microsoft has had no bad surprises. All and all I very happy with this purchase.

Geek Squad (Total Tech plan) was great setting it up, including a new printer. Works great - easy to use. Love having a number key pad on the keyboard.

This PC is a solid performer. It will handle simple movie editing, streaming, simple grains and photo editing, and day to day gaming. It's not a gaming or multimedia computer, but you can do some of these tasks, and it handles basic multitasking well. Dell's track pad takes some getting used to. If you need a robust editing it gaming machine, this is not it, but for the casual to intermediate user it's plenty. Got it on sale, so it costs more now, and not quite as clearly superior in its current price point.

Great battery life, Love the 2 in 1 feature and touch screen. This is the 6th dell laptop that my wife and I own. The last 2 are 2 in 1's and all were great .

i would buy it again and again... clear concise easy to use and manage with all my daily needs this is one of my favorite computers...and i have had all types, brands etc i love my camera, the pics i download are clear and concise and my graphs required for work are awesome would give to anyone for a present....plan on buying one for my daughter next time hers breaks down very happy and satisfied i love love love love this computer omg....how much more can i say about this...buy one and see for yourselves...you will be happy happy happy

Great graphics, solid performance, and user friendly. Some times when I have several windows open performance stalls a bit.

Great laptop. Dell makes solid laptops. Great speed and easy to use. Would recommend to anyone who needs a stable computer.

Daily use is very fast and snappy. Boots up in about 10 seconds. Really good IO options and keyboard is decent. The biggest downfall is the screen. It is a rather dim 6-bit panel that leaves much to be desired. It can be improved a little by twee king the display settings in the Intel Graphics App. Motion is a bit smudgy at times and color depth is blah. You can tell this is where they cheaped out.

I don’t play any computer games but used the laptop for school, Zoom and occasionally watching Amazon prime. It was quick, functional and had no complaints but during the day the backlit keyboard was very hard to see. White characters backlit is a bad idea. I am not sure if it can be turned off. It fell of the table and the broke. Not the fault of the computer but I won’t replace it with another one because of the backlit keyboard.

Very very pleased so far with my laptop. Faster, sharper screen and love the brightly lit keyboard. Haven't used it much yet though.

I have been using the machine for a month, so far I have not experienced any hiccups. The camera and mic qualities are great for my online meetings. The speed which was biggest concern is awesome as I am able to download a couple of extensions that allow me to capitalise on certain chrome features without it slowing down. While I am not big on appearance, I like the color and the back light feature. I have not experimented much with the tablet format but I guess I have time.

This 2 in 1 might be my favorite new laptop/tablet. I was surprised by how substantial this thing felt. It's heavy for a tablet, perfect weight for a laptop. Alot of these feel slightly cheap and flimsy. This one has stainless covering it and a nice fat hinge that looks like it should hold up over years of folding. Some other aesthetics. The backlit keyboard is nice and works well in dimly lit situations. I haven't been able to get the fingerprint reader, which is hidden inside the power button, which is hidden in the upper right hand corner of the keyboard...to work. I normally don't use it anyways but for whatever reason it won't read my finger print. I'll mess around with it later if I feel like it, I was excited to get into trying out the Dell. The keyboard is a good size. I always have trouble with finger placement on my wifes 2 in 1 because her keyboard is a few inches smaller than this one. This one is perfect! The touch screen is really smooth and easy to use. Display is on point with what I was expecting, impressive. I wish the screen got a little brighter but I feel like every Dell laptop I have owned has been built that way and brighter is usually my preference. The camera and speakers seem subpar but I don't normally use a camera and speakers in a laptop are expected to be weak. The i5 processor seems to be fast and the SSD makes this a speedy little machine. It powers up and shuts down fast. I will probably upgrade the RAM from 8gb to the 16gb max. Battery life is good to go. I streamed a football game on Sunday and watched half in laptop mode and half in tablet mode while I was cooking in the kitchen and still had a decent amount of battery left. I love that I can just put this on tablet mode and fold it into a v shape and it takes up very little space on the kitchen counter. When holding it as a tablet it does seem like a huge tablet, but for a guy who normally uses his cell phone or mini tablet for most things, it's kind of cool to having a laptop that folds into a tablet this big. Summary: Looks good, feels good, works good. I would recommend this one.

This has been a great computer, easy to use and does everything I need in a computer and it has a large clear display!

Easy to set use. Works well. Fingerprint ready couldn’t read a couple times but easy to fix.

The speed is excellent and the touchscreen works great, not to mention the fact that it can also be used as a tablet

I love my new laptop. It's not bulky & heavy & I really enjoy the touch screen. And it's so light weight! Love it!

I love the touchscreen part of it. Everything is so easy to use and it helps get homework done faster.

So overall very pleased with this computer. It is plenty fast for me. Haven't had a chance to test the battery life yet but will go ahead and do it. The only negative is I find it difficult to see the letters etc. on the key board because they are similar in color to the key board. There could be solution to that. I just have to figure it out or if anyone knows, save me the time and let me know!

Replaced an old inspiron. This has a bigger screen and much faster processor. Easy to port over old files.
