I am loving my new All-In-One, I actually went in looking for a laptop but they all had screens too small for me. When I was shown this I was like a space saver and a huge screen yes please! It has been so easy to use, I literally took it out of the box, plugged it in and was ready to go. The set up was very user friendly and you can also tilt the touch screen back for easier use when needed/wanted. Overall I am very impressed!

This Dell AIO is a great mid level computer that is perfect for daily tasks. It’s not a full on gaming PC (but you’d be surprised how well it does), but for everyday workflow (i.e. virtual meetings, sending emails, creating documents, etc.) it does extremely well. Especially if you’re upgrading from a laptop, you’ll love the larger screen. It has a sharp design with a small footprint and plenty of ports. I don’t generally use a touchscreen on a desktop, but it certainly has its uses. All-in-all, if you are in need of a basic computer with a large screen, you can’t go wrong. Plus it’s a Dell, so you know you have a quality computer with good support. IN THE BOX The box is pretty minimalist (a good thing). You get the computer, a mouse and full size keyboard with a 9 button number pad to the right. Also, the power cable. SETUP If you’ve ever set up a Windows PC in the last few years, this will be familiar territory. And even if you haven’t, it’s still dead simple. You simply plug the power source in, put the batteries in the wireless mouse and keyboard, turn it on (I will admit, the power button is difficult to find, but it’s underneath the built in speaker bar to the right). From there you follow the steps of connecting to Wi-Fi, creating or logging into your Microsoft account and you should be off and running. I was surprised, but not really because it is a Dell, that it came with limited bloatware (i.e. extra programs you’ll never use). It came with the standard Dell assistant software (not smart assistant, but software to help troubleshoot and upgrade your firmware, etc.), Office 365 and McAfee virus protection. Compared to most PC manufacturers, including Alienware (owned by Dell) there was very minimal bloatware. I did delete McAfee, which came with a free trial, but I knew I wasn’t going to purchase. Other than deleting that program, the computer was basically a clean slate of base software. GENERAL USAGE AND PERFORMANCE Briefly, I’ll cover the main specs of this computer (not going into much detail since they’re listed on the website). It has a full HD screen, which frankly, at 24 inches is all you need. Anything that’s QHD or 4K, really needs a bigger screen (i.e. TV size) to really get the benefits). Full HD is more than adequate for this computer and frankly, text and icons look sharp and detailed. I have zero qualms with the quality of the screen. There’s 16 GB of RAM (random access memory) which, generally speaking, allows you to have more programs and browser windows open without sacrificing performance. There’s a 512 GB SSD which is frankly, big enough for the vast majority of people. On the back there are three USB 3.0 inputs (think faster USB transfer speeds) and one USB 2.0 speed (slower USB transfer speeds, best for printers or controllers or USB headphones that aren’t transferring data). There’s only one USB-C type port (which is super speed). I wish it had more of those since most electronics are moving to the USB-C standard, albeit, it will take a while to be universal. There’s even an HDMI out port and HDMI in port. These HDMI ports can be extremely useful. You can plug in a second monitor or a projector into the HDMI out, and you can use the HDMI in to plug in, say, a video game console (for those in a small room) to act as a screen. There’s even a full SD card slot on the back which is extremely helpful in transferring photos from my DSLR, but I do wish it was on the side or front. There’s also an ethernet port which I recommend using for internet stability if you can run a cable from your router to it. One of the cooler features is the webcam. It’s hidden at the top of the screen. To access it, you simply push down and it pops up. If you want a physical privacy screen (so you know no one has hacked it and is looking at you) you can pop it back down out of sight. I found the general performance to be good, not great. But I’m talking in degrees. If you’ve never used a high end gaming PC with top of the line parts, this computer will seem blazingly fast. If you have used a higher end PC, some actions will seem a bit slower than others, but not my much. Nothing that will cause you frustration to the point of wanting to throw your computer, but it slows down a bit on occasion. For example, when turning the PC on, it gets to the login screen quickly, but it takes a few extra beats to get running so to speak after logging in. Again, I’m not talking minutes, but I also use an Alienware desktop that puts most computers to shame, so I’m a bit spoiled in that regard. In terms of real word usage, I rely on Outlook, Chrome, Word, Excel, and Zoom on a daily basis. After everything was installed and I signed into each respective program, I was off and running without any issues. And the 24 inch screen was a pleasure. I use a 34 inch widescreen monitor at work, and while I wish I had one at home, the 24 inch screen is SOOO much better than working off a 15 inch laptop. I love the extra real estate and it’s plenty to get my work done. The monitor is a touch screen, which I appreciate, but for my workflow and usage, I rarely use it. My kids did use it with the Paint 3D program and loved digital finger painting. I mention this because I found the screen to be pretty responsive, although it doesn’t seem to be multitouch. What I mean by that is, yes, you can use two fingers to pinch and zoom (like your phone), but you couldn’t use two fingers to “paint” two different lines at the same time. Not sure if that matters to anyone, I can’t think of an application where I would need to do that, but wanted to mention it. OTHER TIDBITS The webcam quality, like virtually every other built in webcam in a computer, is of “blah” quality. Sure, it looks ok, and will perform admirably for family Zoom/Skype/Google Meetings calls, but in my profession, I prefer higher resolution with the ability to digitally zoom in and out. Point being, when I use this computer I use a separate webcam. But unless you have to have, or really want, a higher end webcam, this one is perfectly fine. What I did like about it was the WIndows Hello, which I’ve known about for a long time, but finally tried it out (think facial recognition like in an Apple phone) that unlocks your computer. That feature performed remarkable well and I want to set that up in all of my computers. Gaming. I said earlier this isn’t a gaming PC, but it performs pretty well for what it is. It has a built in, or “integrated” graphics card. Generally speaking, integrated graphics cards won’t run high end games (at least not at the graphical fidelity seen in gaming PCs and consoles). And I don’t know much about Intel Iris Xe graphics, and won’t reveal my ignorance talking about it on a technological level, but I can speak to its general performance. My kids mostly play Lego games (think Batman LEGO, Marvel Lego, etc.). We played together and while these aren’t graphics intensive games, they looked pretty darn good. There was no visual screen tearing and no slowdowns whatsoever. I tried out Anno 1800 (a real time strategy game) which is slow paced but has a lot of detailed graphics, and it too, performed really well. I didn’t experience any slowdowns and was pleasantly surprised with the performance. I didn’t try out any fast and furious first person shooters, but I would expect them to play reasonably well, with the graphics settings, set to somewhat minimum standards. I also want to mention the sound. I was not only pleasantly surprised, but frankly, blown away by the sound from the built in soundbar. There’s no deep base that you would get from a subwoofer, but the speaker gets extremely loud and sounds really crisp. It’s not going to do surround sound, but watching movies, playing games and video conference calls all sounded better than you would expect. So high marks there. My only real gripe is the keyboard and mouse. They’re wireless, which is great, but for someone who types almost everyday, I prefer the “clickiness” that a mechanical keyboard provides. This is a complaint with every computer you buy as they all seemingly come with cheap keyboards. I would recommend looking into upgrading the keyboard and mouse at some point, although there’s nothing wrong with the one in the box. It does at least come with a full number keypad to the right and in terms of the stability of the connection between the computer and mouse and keyboard, I had no issues. CONCLUSION This is a terrific all-in-one computer that can do a lot. It performs basic computer tasks really well, and is good enough to watch movies, and play games. It’s like a swiss army knife, doing a lot of things well, but not necessarily excelling in any one area, which is okay. For most people that’s all you need. Especially if you want or need a computer with a bigger screen than what a laptop can offer. And the simplicity of having everything built in is a big plus for those that don’t want to deal with a separate computer tower and monitor.

As someone who regularly needs to work from home, so I needed a computer to utilize at home. As desk space is something very important to me, I needed a device that takes up as minimal space as possible. Seeing this Dell 5000-series All-In-One it seemed to check off all of the boxes that I need to work with. I was surprised at how slim and how light this computer is (close to 11 lbs). I've had a few weeks to work on this computer and have come up with the following pros and cons. Pros: Appearance: Immediately you are presented with a very modern-looking, sleek, AIO computer. Again, desk footprint is very important for me and our family as I would need as much space on my desk as possible for my computer and work material. The Inspiron 5000 is raised via a A-frame easel-like stand (that can adjust the angle) with the speaker system perched at the bottom of the screen. I’ve noticed that this stand design is more stable than back holding displays. Keeping with the minimalistic appearance, all inputs are at the back which is both good and bad (more on it later). Ease of Set-up: I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of set up required. Just plug the device in and turn it on, the Dell Inspiron 5000 began the Window's set up. This was very effortless and was able to easily set up from my LG Laptop. All of my files were immediately available to download directly to the computer. Setting up Windows Hello was also very easy and the camera quickly recognizes me. Speaking of the camera, I love how it pops up and can be easily hidden/turned off when not in use. Display: Let’s talk about the Display in everyday use: you are presented with a 23.8 inch Full HD display touch and 1920x1080 screen. The screen is labeled as an InfintiyEdge display, as there are minimal bezels all around measuring around 8mm providing you with vivid visuals. The touchscreen has been a very welcomed addition, but realistically, I have not been using it as much since I utilize the mouse and keyboard. Internal Specs: Internal specs include Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM and 512 GB SSD at 2.80 GHz. The Inspiron also comes with Intel’s Iris Xe graphics, a graphics processor not on par with typical gaming processors, but performs similarly to entry-level dedicated video cards. As it is integrated, along with the i7 processor and that 16GB RAM, you notice just how smooth and fast this computer is. Ports: As the new designs for AIO’s are now, all of your ports are hidden in the bottom back. You have both HDMI input and output, USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C, USB 2.0 Type A, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type A x3, headphone jack and SDCard Reader 3.0. Again, minimalistic approach and I like the look. Unfortunately, I wished there were some available ports to the side for easier access. Accessories: Of course no AIO would not be complete without a mouse and keyboard. All are Bluetooth, and the mouse was amazingly light weight. The keyboard has good key travel and compact enough where it doesn’t take too much space on our desktop. Included are 1 AA and 2AAA Duracell batteries. Cons: The camera, to my surprise was not as clear as I would have expected. You are met with a 0.92 megapixel front facing camera with 720p resolution. During my Zoom sessions, I was semi-disappointed with the quality. I guess I have been spoiled with my tablet’s front facing camera, and would have hoped that computers would be including higher quality front facing cameras. Also, as mentioned earlier the location of the ports. Overall, I have been thoroughly impressed with the Inspiron 5000 AIO. A very fast, snappy computer with really good internals that give me that much needed boost in my productivity at home. A welcomed addition to my home office.

This model comes with a current 11th generation Intel Core i7, Intel graphics, 24-in 'Borderless' touchscreen, and can also be used as a TV or monitor, nice integrated speakers, 512GB SSD, 16 GB RAM. I think this is a great value for a daily general-use computer, with one of the fastest mobile CPUs. Looks: The computer is white on the front and painted silver on the back, with a metal A-Frame base that allows tilting the computer. Below the screen there is an integrated piece that is the sound bar, covered in a nice-looking gray mesh fabric. It also comes with a matching wireless white keyboard and white wireless mouse. The 'white' is closer to a very light cream. It is not the old beige. The white parts on the front are polished and looks nice in my opinion. The stand is nice and allows resting the keyboard below the computer when not in use. There are no visible buttons on the front, and the power light comes from behind the speaker mesh fabric. The web camera pops-up by pressing the top of the screen, and also has IR functions to use with Windows Hello by logging in automatically with face recognition (Windows Hello). (The face recognition is optional, and it's stored on the PC only. One can also log in via a PIN or a password). It's nice that the camera can be stowed away for privacy. Screen: The screen has a matte finish (not glass) that's vibrant and does not reflect glare like glass screens do, so I prefer this type of screen personally for longer daily use. It's touch-screen (but doesn't seem to support pens). Keep in mind that this is a desktop computer so the touchscreen won't get much use. Resolution is 1920x1080 Speed: This should be fast for most tasks, including several web browser tabs. The 11th-gen (current) i7 CPU is plenty fast and I didn't feel it particularly needed more speed. The memory Is 16 GB of the type '2666 DDR4 SODIMM', which is very adequate for most uses. The 512Gb SSD is an 'M2 PCIx4', which is also user-replaceable. However it has a slightly odd form factor: M.2 2242. Keyboard: The standard keyboard and mouse are wireless and require an USB adapter that has to be attached to one of the ports on the PC. It's not Bluetooth. The keyboard is a full-size, with good travel. The mouse is basic but does the job just fine. The keyboard uses two AAA batteries while the mouse uses one AA battery. They're not rechargeable but should be able to use rechargeable batteries. In my previous experience with Dell keyboards and mouse, they should last a long time. Camera: The resolution is up toy 1080p, 30fps, with IR for Windows Hello. Note that most built-in cameras are 720p. This is better, although it depends what you use to take full advantage of. The microphone remains on though and it's used for Microsoft Cortana (Windows voice assistant). Network: There is an ethernet (wired) connector on the back, and the PC supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. (Bluetooth 5 devices have better range and batteries on Bluetooth 5 headphones should last longer). We have a brand new Mesh WiFi 6 at home with Gigabit internet and while the computer connects at 'gigabit' WiFi (1024 mbps), although in real-life internet use, measured around 400 Mbps using Speedtest, which is comparable to what I can measure on an iPhone. Buttons and ports: The power button is on the bottom of the case (on the sound bar section), and there is a small button next to it that allows to use the computer as a monitor with the HDMI input on the back. All the ports are on the back. There are no connectors on the side. The power is through a brick similar to a laptop, with a small DC barrel connector on the computer side. Ports include: 1 security lock, DC power, HDMI Out (1.4), HDMI In (To use as a monitor or TV), one single USB-C, Gigabit Ethernet, 1 USB 2.0 port (To use with the keyboard/mouse adapter), 3 USB 3.1 ports (5 Gbps), headphone jack and SD card reader. Serviceability: There are no screws to open the back, but the back cover can be easily pry away, with full access to the motherboard. Inside there is an empty bracket to add a standard 3.5" hard drive. It has two memory slots and a single SSD slot. The WiFi/Bluetooth card is also on an M2 slot. Something that disappointed me here is that the SSD slot is half-size, and only supports the M.2 2242 form factor (42mm length). This is important because the standard form factor is M.2 2280 (80 mm length), and the M.2 2242 for this PC is half the size, thus severely limiting the choices for a replacement. Things to consider: I wish it had a thunderbolt or USB4 port to be able to connect external video cards. There is only one USB-C port, which neither supports powering on the PC or video output. The A-Frame legs are nice, but there is no way to remove them and use a VESA adapter. This is something that older Inspiron AIOs supported. Also no ports on the side or front, so connecting anything to it requires reaching the rear ports. It might look nice and de-cluttered but not practical. Dell has been making Inspiron PCs for a long time and this model is a great value with most of what one would want in this type of all-in-one computer. I'd be happy to recommend this for anyone looking for an all-in-one desktop for daily use and light gaming.

My favorite machine to set up. These Dells are so easy to use and to configure. The on off switch is hidden inder the lower right of the monitor-so don't look for it on the side or the back. The base is stable and sturdy and overall a good machine for small business and home use.

    Excellent Powerhouse of a Workstation

I have tested the Dell 5400, AIO 24 inch, for about a week and I am thoroughly impressed. I work in the IT industry and whenever friends ask, "What computer should I buy?" My recommendation always starts with "Recent I7 processor, 16 gigs of ram, an SSD, etc." Guess what!? This computer has it all and then some. The version I tested had the 11th Gen, I7 1165G7 processor operating at 2.8 GHz. 16GB of DDR4 3200 MHz ram, and a 512 GB NVME SSD (only 460 GB usable.) Basically, this computer already has my recommendation because of the specs alone. However, normally, I would not recommend an all-in-one computer because of their lack of upgradability. But this one has changed my mind for a few reasons. First of which, is the space savings. There is no tower to stuff under your desk and no extra power bricks or cables to have to manage. It takes up the space of one average sized monitor and uses one easily manageable power brick. Secondly, there are no parts you would need to upgrade. If you are using this as a workstation It will satisfy all your performance needs. As for real world performance. The computer boots extremely fast. Programs load quickly. WIFI and Bluetooth maintain solid connections. The mini soundbar and microphone record and reproduce sound excellently. Especially, when used for video conferencing. The pop-up, 1080P, 30 Hz webcam works great. The included wireless keyboard and mouse make a solid connection and never dropped or needed to be reset. However, their build quality and performance are entry level at best. The touch screen was a nice added feature although it probably will not get much use. Also, there is a nice selection of ports and a good 1080P monitor. *notable mention. It can support multiple monitors and one of the HDMI ports can accept input from other devices. As you can see in one of my pictures, I am streaming media with my Chromecast. Overall, this is an excellent computer that has earned my recommendation. Good Job Dell!

This All-In-One (AIO) is a power-packed PC that includes an Intel Core i7 processor, 512 GB, 16 gigabytes of DDR4 RAM, a 24-inch touch screen monitor, and definitely aesthetically pleasing. Very noticeable is the camera’s ability to be recessed into the top of the monitor, which pops out when pressed down, and I guess this addresses the security concern/privacy by manually blocking cameras when not in use. The unique feature about this camera is that it is actually two-lens, and the quality of the video is exceptional. This screen is slightly matte, anti-glare, which will prevent screen reflections. If used in a brightly lit room, it will be easy to view the display. It is also a touch screen, full HD, nice scrips images, 24-inch edge-to-edge screen, and it tilts backward a large amount. The graphics card (Intel iRIS Xe) is perfect, capable of some gaming, certainly some video processing, and watching 4K videos. The speaker is wide grilled located at the bottom of the monitor, and it is covered with a soft gray color cloth. The sound quality is great for its size, very loud, clear and crisp, and with no distortion. The wireless mouse (1x AA battery) and keyboard (2x AAA battery) can communicate up to 30 feet away from the computer. The computer is fast, and I can do many tasks without an issue, like Photoshop and video editing. This is possible because it has 16 gigabyte RAM and an i7 processor. It is designed for various users: photo editors, audio editors, at-home work/office, professionals, and CAD users. The computer is very quiet when it runs, not making a lot of noise even when using many programs. The inputs and outputs ports are very impressive; it includes all ports necessary for most users and even professionals. It includes the following: 1x HDMI output, 1x HDMI input (monitor can function as a TV screen), 1x USB Type-C, an Ethernet port, 1x regular USB, 3x Super-Speed USB, input/output audio AUX, SD card reader, and a rear security lock slot. I use the HDMI to connect another monitor, world great as a dual monitor PC. This is a well-loaded PC, nicely designed, and I like it very much. Definitely recommend it because it is fast, looks good, very powerful, and anybody can get a lot of use for it.

I would give it 5 stars for the inpressive sleek design which i absolutely loved. Problem is that the hardware kept having firmware issues in less than a month from purchase date. After 3 weeks from purchase, it all of a sudden kept restarting and shutting off on its own. Dell customer service could not resolve the issue even after they directed me to manually download the driver from their website. This is my 2nd Dell computer and like the first one, it didn't last long at all. Don't buy this brand.

The item was supposed to be certified and in excellent condition, but the mouse and keyboard came in a very bad condition with label that shows "Satisfactory". Very disappointing!

I received this and as soon as I removed it from the box, the weight was very noticeable, it is very light, but well built. We have a small built in desk incorporated into our cabinets, and it fits just right. I love the way Dell laid out this computer, the power button is on the bottom right and the USB, HDMI and the other hook ups are located basically in the very middle of the computer. For me, that means when I plug something into it the wires are easier to conceal and to keep them neatly organized. Out of the box and connecting to the power cord took only minutes and I had the computer up and running. I love the way Dell “hid” the camera on this computer. You push in and the camera pops out and vice-verse to stow it away. As far as this camera, it takes great pictures and having the camera as your log on makes it very simple. Well done Dell. The graphics are very clear and crisp, the colors are truly amazing. This computer, again, was well designed and made. The stand on this Silver version is very pleasing and as you can see from the pictures it truly is a work of art. The speakers deliver clear audio and I was able to watch a movie and hear it, which, on my old Apple desktop is seemed as if I had gone to a theater. The sound was noticeably different between the two, granted, the Apple is several years old. But I was very impressed w/ the sound of this Dell Desktop. I also like the ease of pairing my iPhone 12+ to this Dell. It only took a few minutes and now I have it paired I can answer calls, read texts, emails and receive other notifications. I’m so glad I received this Dell computer. I also really enjoy the touchscreen on this computer, and when Dell says “All-In-One” they mean it. It is a really nice computer. If you are in the market for a well built, well priced desktop, don’t hesitate to purchase the Dell 24” Inspiron. And that is coming from someone that is an Apple fanatic. Trust me, you won’t regret it! I’m impressed.

I have no complaints with my new PC. I am very happy that I went for the higher RAM and faster processor when compared to the models that had the fancy frills like a built in sound bar and a wireless phone charger. When I plugged in my Klipsch speaker system it recognized it immediately and allowed me to tell it that it was a high end sound system. The clarity and sound quality was amazing. The ease of set up and use for the PC was pretty impressive. It is fast and the quality of the screen is lightyears better than what I had been used to. It streams Amazon and YouTube perfectly. I am very happy with my choice.

This all in one has been more than I expected from an overall build and performance standpoint. Its 24" touch screen is a sleek, well suited all-in-one that looks great in the office. The 512GB of storage is more than enough to contain my extensive catalog of music and family pictures. We use this at our kids school stations and has been the perfect fit for our needs. This system is used for emails online which is easily maintained and accessible due to its quick start up. I have watched a few movies on the computer which look and sound great too, thanks to the cinema sound it provides. If the speakers are not loud enough you can easily pair or add on additional speaker, but i have not found the need to do so. Overall the pros for this Pc include its sleek, elegant sleek (>2") design and simple yet compact keyboard. The 24" screen is more than enough to game on or have my kids do their e-learning on too with booming vivid colors. It does not produce much annoying sound either, as its quite quiet. Plug ins that come stock are more than enough for what its used for. Areas of improvement include the size of the unit. It does have a nice screen which comes in handy, but it just seems a little clunky all in all. All in all I am satisfied with this system. The system was by far the easiest system I have ever had to set up. Pretty much open the box, plug it in and it was ready to use. Every daily application runs with ease. This will definitely be used regularly for the foreseeable future, I would gladly suggest to anyone looking for an all-in-one system.

Super quick and efficient for work and students! Touch screen is also a benefit when mouse or keyboard doesn’t work!
