Customers are satisfied with the Inspiron 27" All-in-One's large screen size, ease of use, and performance. Many appreciate its design and the speed provided by the SSD. While some found the price high and experienced minor issues with the mouse, the positive feedback on the touchscreen and graphics card outweighs these concerns.

Dell PC Does the Job - Ideal for Small Business

Purchased this PC for my wife's small business as her personal computer. She comments on the speed of the PC for office functions and web-related activity. She's a "plug & play" user and this unit was a "piece of cake" to set up and start using right away. The only negative was resetting access for Outlook, but it took no time to do.

NEW Dell 27" Inspiron AIO Hits The Sweet Spots

**WHAT’S IN THE BOX**
• Inspiron 27” AIO (All-in-One) model i7710-7952WHT-PUS
• Dell KM5221W Wireless keyboard & mouse
• feet/stand
• 130W Power Supply and power cord
• Documentation
**THE SETUP**
Unbox, read the instructions to download and install the Dell App. Perform recommended and optional updates and any recommended apps.
Equipped with Intel’s 12th Generation Core i7-1225U processor, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM (memory), a 1TB Solid State Drive (SSD) its own discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX550 Graphics with 2 GB GDDR6 dedicated memory , Wi-Fi6 Wireless AX and a shiny 1080P touch screen with built-in 1080p webcam, this only begins to touch on the specifications.
Still not finished! Windows 11 Home Edition operating system, a serious array of connectors, including these:
1. USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 2 port
2. Power Button
3. Monitor Mode Switch
4. USB 3.1 Gen 1 port with Power on/Wake-up support
5. USB 3.1 Gen 1 port
6. HDMI 1.4b port
7. HDMI-in 1.4b port
8. DC-In
9. RJ45 Ethernet port
10. USB 3.1 Gen 2 port with PowerShare
11. USB 3.1 Gen 1 Port
12. Audio
13. SD Card Reader
This new model is an upgrade from a nearly three-year old 24” Dell AIO with its speedy-for-the-times Intel Core i7 processor and Intel graphics. In its day, the 24-inch matte finish touch screen was state-of-the-art for an everyday use family computer.
That extra three inches of screen real estate makes a HUGE difference!
Set up was easy, thanks to Dell’s prompting through the process.
An upgraded wireless keyboard and mouse is included, as compared to my previous Dell AIO. The keyboard has a better, more substantial and professional feel. The mouse has a beefier feel.
Moving data from old to new, for those who need to do such things, can be accomplished through several options, including the user’s cloud storage or the user’s own external backup drive.
Yes, it takes time to populate the new computer with the desired apps as on the previous model. Yes, it takes some time to do all the personalization one may wish to do, but the rewards are manifold, at least until the user wishes to upgrade to what’s newer in the future.
Part of any new computer setup process includes Window software and hardware-specific updates, of which there were several. Depending upon the user’s Internet speed, wired or wireless (I always prefer hard-wired Internet connection), this can take several hours, and it did. Patience is a virtue.
Additional software that is included with this new Dell is Trend Micro Internet Security (3-Device) (6 Month Subscription) for Android, Apple iOS, Mac OS and Windows (digital download). Also included in the Trend Micro product is identity protection and parental controls.
Finally, in the area of included software, is a trial of the Microsoft 365 Suite. A subscription may be purchased or the software may be deleted if the user has an existing Microsoft Office or 365 subscription that may be transferred from a previous PC. Alternatively, users are free to download and use any other Windows-compatible Office-like suite including those that are without cost, yet fully compatible with the Microsoft products.
Now, with the initial setup completed, it’s time to . . .
**PUT IT TO THE TEST**
The first impression is that this Dell Inspiron AIO 7710 starts up very quickly, as well it should. How will 16 GB of RAM perform? Will an upgrade to 32 GB RAM be a considered?
The short answer is that this new Dell is so well equipped that nothing else is needed, and certainly not required.
Whether for everyday computing chores or for everyday gaming, amateur audio and video editing, there is nothing that comes to mind to be added to a wish list. Nothing.
There was an initial concern that the shiny display would be a distraction as compared to the matte finish on the previous 24-inch model. Concerns quickly disappeared.
The fans are barely audible unless the processor is pushed hard, such as when rendering video. Even when pressed, fan noise is unobtrusive.
The built-in SD card reader is handy for photo use as well as with MicroSD cards using an adapter.
Should the user wish to use an external monitor for a dual display setup, this, too, is a built-in capability.
The free, downloadable MyDell Mobile app for iOS and Android is a handy companion with useful setup tutorials and numerous tips and tricks. In-app Dell chat support can be a time saver.
What’s missing? Nothing. For those interested in a CD/DVD burner found on older models, these are an inexpensive plug-and-play external device. There are certainly plenty of ports available.
There is a single USB-C port at the right side bottom edge, perfect for charging a phone or plugging in a peripheral without having to access ports on the rear.
**CONCLUSION**
The 27-inch size is the new sweet spot and seems perfect in this application. No, it’s not a 4K display, but HD 1080P looks just fine. Performance is nothing short of excellent in every sense of the word.
Now it is time to ask the value question. In consideration of cost, performance and likely customer satisfaction, does THIS Dell AIO represent value to the consumer? That answer is a simple, resounding YES. This impressive combination of all the elements, with the bonus of powerful NVIDIA graphics is highly recommended. The designers and marketing team have worked together to offer a fine AIO for consumers as well as small office, home office users.
**WARRANTY**
Dell provides its standard one-year parts and labor warranty that is upgradeable at added cost and for a longer term after the initial purchase.

Beautiful and Powerful Upgrade to a Classic!

This brand-new Dell Inspiron Model 7710 is a superb combination of technology and functionality which will outperform almost all existing all-in-one desktop computers thanks to its incorporation of a new 12th generation Intel Core i7 processing unit, an advanced Nvidia GPU and an outstanding 27” touch screen in an elegant, ergonomic housing which will free up space on your desk.
Visually, the Dell Inspiron 7710 is a stunning design with an ultra-slim beautiful pearl white body with a thin bezel at the top and sides of the 27” screen. The speakers are housed in a white band below the display. Two silver triangular base supports are set at the edges of the unit and allow the display to be tilted up to 25 degrees. The matching pearl white keyboard and mouse connect wirelessly (via USB dongle) to the main unit and can be easily slid between the brushed aluminum triangular leg supports. The superb 27 inch touch screen seems larger because it is jet black when off and incorporates a frameless InfinityEdge. Overall, the impression is very sophisticated and high tech. This design would be just as much at home in a corporate executive office as in a college dorm.
Consider this fine combination of features:
• Dell Inspiron 27 All-in-One (Model i7710-7952WHT-PUS)
• Intel Core i7 1255U CPU 2 performance cores/8 efficient cores, up to 12 hyper-threads, 15-watt base power with 55-watt turbo power mode, integrated Intel Iris Xe video controller with 8 GB video memory
• Processor runs at speeds from 0.4 to 4.7 GHz
• 64-bit Windows 11 Home operating system
• Nvidia GeoForce MX550 graphics processor with 2 GB of memory
• 16 GB DDR4 3,200 MHz RAM primary memory (expandable to 32 GB)
• 1.0 TB PCIe NVMe Gen 3 SSD fast hard drive
• 27” IPS touch-screen display with 1920 x 1080 (full HD) resolution @ 60Hz
• ComfortView Plus low blue light level
• Full suite of Dell utility programs
• 4 watt stereo speakers and Waves MaxxAudio Pro audio processing
• Pop-up full HD (1080P) wide-angle Webcam with wide dynamic range, auto-framing and microphone
• WiFi 6E Wireless LAN 802.11ax 2x2
• Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity
• 3 USB 3.1 Type A (max 5 GBps), 1 USB 3.2 Type A (max 10 GBps), 1 USB 3.2 Type C (max 20 GBps)
• HDMI 1.4 input, HDMI 1.4 output
• Ethernet port (RJ45)
• Headphone out/Microphone in 3.5 mm port
• SD card slot can add 2 TB of secondary storage
• Full size Dell KM5221W white wireless keyboard with separate numeric pad, wireless mouse
• Ultra-quiet cooling fan
• 130 watt power supply
• Very slim: 24.2” wide x 17.9” tall x 1.6” thick
• Weight: 16.2 pounds
• One-year parts and labor warranty with in-home service
So how does this new all-in-one desktop perform? Superbly!
It is almost as fast as dedicated gaming laptops and but has the screen size and features which make it a go-to choice for home offices. It is beautifully engineered. The solid-state hard drive and low power needs of the CPU and GPU make fan noise almost non-existent. This is a very quiet device!
I ran two well-regarded benchmark programs (Novabench and PC Mark 10) on both it and six of my other computers to determine their relative performance. These tests measure both CPU (general processing) and GPU (graphics processing) providing a good overall measure of a computer’s speed. All comparison computers were well-maintained and had no other programs active. The four older computers were running identical Windows 10 versions while the two newer laptops and this Dell All-in-One are running Windows 11. Here are the results (higher is faster) compared to a generic desktop PC:
Novabench Results:
Generic office desktop (AMD A6, 8 GB ram): 636 (Base case)
2016 Dell All-in-One (i5-6400, 12 GB ram): 858 (35% faster than base)
2019 Gaming laptop (i5-8300H, 8 GB ram)): 2028 (219% faster than base)
2019 Two-in-One tablet/laptop (AMD Ryzen 5 3500U, 8 GB ram): 1425 (124% faster than base)
2021 Laptop (AMD Ryzen 7 4980U, 8 GB ram): 2981 (369% faster than base)
2022 Laptop (i7-1260P, 16 GB ram): 2879 (353% faster than base)
Dell Inspiron 7710 (i7-1255U, 16 GB ram): 2821 (344% faster than base)
PC Mark 10 Results:
Generic office desktop (AMD A6, 8 GB ram): 1451 (Base case)
2016 Dell All-in-One (i5-6400, 12 GB ram): 2300 (59% faster than base)
2019 Gaming laptop (i5-8300H, 8 GB ram)): 4603 (217% faster than base)
2019 Two-in-One tablet/laptop (AMD Ryzen 5 3500U, 8 GB ram): 3698 (155% faster than base)
2021 Laptop (AMD Ryzen 7 4980U, 8 GB ram): 5096 (251% faster than base)
2022 Laptop (i7-1260P, 16 GB ram): 4879 (236% faster than base)
Dell Inspiron 7710 (i7-1255U, 16 GB ram): 5657 (289% faster than base)
Novabench results indicate that a 12th generation Intel Core i7 CPU is just a bit slower than a top AMD Ryzen CPU/Radeon GPU. However, PC Mark10 results measure more features and show that the Dell Inspiron All-in-One with its Nvidia graphics processor outperform all other systems. especially if multiple heavy RAM-demanding programs were in use.
The bottom line is that this Dell All-in-One is capable of out-performing anything you currently own (except perhaps a really geeked-out special system) and it is very smooth in running any games or software you may buy. Put this elegant device to work on most business software and it will never even break a sweat. Use it for photo/video editing and it will calmly do whatever you want, no drama. And you need not hesitate to fire up a graphics-intensive game because it has the power to handle even that chore easily.
My new Dell Inspiron 7710 27” All-in-One is replacing a Dell Inspiron 24-5459 23.8” All-in-One desktop I purchased in 2016. The older machine has given me good service over the past six years but I needed an upgrade in speed. As you can see from the Novabench and PC Mark10 results the new Dell is about three times faster than its predecessor. Both units have touch screens and similar form factors but, in addition to the vast improvement in speed, you can see in my photos the wonderful evolution in aesthetics and functionality.
The new Inspiron takes up about the same desk space but has a screen 29% larger in area. It has an improved (wider) base support which allows you to slide the keyboard and mouse under it when not in use. Overall depth of the new Inspiron is actually less than the older unit because the two triangular supports are only about 8” deep compared to the 10” deep base of the older computer. Every square inch on a desktop is valuable and that reduced depth is like finding gold in your desk drawer.
The quality of the new display is outstanding, very sharp, responsive and with rich, accurate colors. Dell has introduced ComfortView Plus technology in this screen, which reduces the blue light level to alleviate eye strain. An added feature is that the display has an HDMI-in port and a switch that allows you use the display without booting up the computer. The quality of the display alone justifies the price of this all-in-one computer!
The webcam feature is also improved. It pops up from the top of the screen and is angled slightly downward to better frame the user. It has a wide dynamic range and automatic face detection. One note – be sure to peel off the protective plastic on the camera - it is easy to miss and your video will suffer if you fail to do so.
The sound system on this computer is surprisingly good. I listened to some favorite music and the speakers were much better than typical for desktops. They benefit from the Waves MaxxAudio Pro audio processing software. They are mounted below the screen, facing the user, have decent bass and volume with good stereo separation – certainly good enough for watching Netflix or YouTube videos.
The back of the computer has most of the connections, including four USB-A ports (3 3.1 and 1 3.2), the HDMI in and HDMI out connections, the 3.5 mm headphone input, an Ethernet port, SD card reader and the power cable connection. One of the USB-A ports will be taken by the wireless keyboard/mouse dongle. There is also a single USB-C port on the right side of the monitor. Here I think Dell’s design missed a vital feature in favor of clean aesthetics. User-facing ports are much more useful on desktops and there is plenty of room between the two speakers. I spend a lot of time plugging and unplugging USB flash drives and reaching the back ports is a pain. Also, USB-C ports are becoming the standard and the system should have more than one.
Other points to note: Both the WiFi 6 and the Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity are excellent. The touch response of the screen is quite good and the ability to tilt the display back by up to 25 degrees is useful. If you want to add more RAM the included service manual gives good guidance on removing the back so that larger memory cards can be substituted for the two 8 GB cards provided.
A final few comments: The Dell Inspiron 7710 does not come loaded with bloatware, just the usual McAfee free trial. When you turn it on the first time, run Windows Update several times to bring your operating system up to date. Then download the free Revo Uninstaller program and remove the McAfee software. The free, superb Windows Defender anti-virus program will automatically take over. It is constantly updated by Microsoft and does an excellent job protecting your computer.
Run the Dell Update program in that first week. It updates the system’s firmware and Dell utility programs. Two other valuable free programs are CCleaner and Advanced SystemCare. Ignore their pitches to upgrade to the paid versions - the free versions handle many maintenance tasks very well and will keep your system running fast.
When you consider all of its power and functionality, I think you will agree that the price is a bargain. I can enthusiastically recommend the new Dell Inspiron 27” 7710 All-in-One computer for both serious stay-at-home power users and for those who need to elegantly upgrade their office computers.
