Hello Mich,
Thank you very much for your valued feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have come across some troubles with your Dell Inspiron laptop because it is showing only black screen. Below I have provided tips to help resolve this problem, along with the full article link, which has more options if they are needed.
*Ensure that the display is connected to the correct port and powered on. *Ensure that the display data cable is not damaged and replaced if necessary. *Ensure that the correct Input Source on the display is correctly selected. *Remove the data cable from the system. A Self-Test box should appear on the display. *If the Self-Test box does not appear on the display, replace the display with a verified working unit. *If there is still no display showing, check if the video was shown during the POST routine. *If the video was shown during POST, the display or graphics driver could be the cause. *Restart the system into Safe Mode. To load Safe Mode, press and hold the F8 key as your system restarts. *This loads the Advanced Boot Menu. Select Safe Mode. Install the current versions of the display and graphics card drivers. Restart the system, and check for video. *If available, replace the graphics card with a verified working card. *If both graphics card and monitor work ok on another PC, then contact technical support to resolve the problem.
If you are still experiencing issues with your black screen after applying the troubleshooting tips above, please contact the Dell Support Team for further guidance at 1-800-624-9896.

I was Very happy with it: Fast, clear image, easy carry around, easy "installation" for initiation procedures. However, after about 3 weeks I SUDDENLY couldn't turn it on. Scary!!! We took to Geek and they fixed it in no time saying there was an unknown glitch, which it fixed itself. My Dell is running healthy and fast like a rabbit again. *I'm worried (back in my mind) if there will be another unknown glitch.......

Display performance and Screen size vs overall laptop size is great!, The case feels strong and durable made of aluminum, however is still light and very portable. Performance is very good for day by day work, WIFI connectivity transceiver is fast, Battery didnt impressed me much but is ok. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Got this laptop on sell for $699 about $250 USD
off. This laptop is amazing for an 15. The 13' screen
is perfect me being a college student I don't need
it that huge, I run excel, word, and computer
science software easily on this. The Intel
optane memory is amazing and does exactly as
advertised. It being an evo laptop already makes
it come with amazing features but if you can get
this on sale it's worth the immediate buy

A lot of fun! I'm coming from Inspirion 15 that I bought in 2015. I was looking for a 2-in-1 to meet my business needs for mobility and meetings for customers, and this does that!
Problems: C-port doesn't work. Mine was an open-box that didn't come with a power cord. I was told it came with everything, got home, nothing. Went back, they pretended it was normal instead of making it right. I let it go, in pursuit of further testing. The C-port is obviously broken, and then I realized my old power cord did in fact fit the actual power socket. It's a hit or miss though, I have to fiddle with it to get it to charge.
Battery: Decent if you're not doing anything too heavy. If you're watching a movie, it might last 3 hours. When I first started using this, I was really impressed with the battery!! Now, it doesn't seem to last as long. I haven't even had it a week.
Windows 11: Coming from Windows 10, I actually had no idea this had 11. I hate both windows and apple as companies, but am used to Windows. There is a fix for the dumb microsoft account that is mandatory to create: you must create one in order to login to the computer, they do not give you an option. BUT, upon dabbling in the settings, you can choose to switch to a "local account." Which lets you create a normal login, not attached to a windows account.
Settings: A little tricky and annoying, as in long lists of scrolling, if you are searching for an option (they don't make it incredibly easy to find via search, most of the time for what I have found), and select one of them to go into and look, once you go "back", it returns you to the top of the list, again. This is quite cumbersome to say the least, when you have to scroll scroll scroll, click every single time, just to go back where you were, instead of holding your place.
Additionally, if they exist, certain settings are hard to find: when to lock the computer and require a login, other consumer control vs. microsoft doing whatever they please, like auto-downloading/permissions/updating without consent.
Touchscreen: I LOVE being able to just click and select things with my hand!! So easy. I'm holding my breath that the hinges hold out - even the display model at the store was broken.
I'm just going to be very very careful and hope this lasts, because I only got it for $532, and by reviews, neither Best Buy or Dell is going to be helpful at all, if anything goes wrong. Praying if it will break, it will be within my holiday return window.
All in all, I definitely like how it is enough to keep it at my pricepoint, but may have to return it if something further goes wrong. Fix all your settings that you care about, and as always, choose wisely with your purchases!!

Freezing issues, otherwise nice laptop
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
As much as I want to give this laptop a great review, I have unfortunately had issues with it freezing right out of the box. I’ve had it for a couple days now and cannot work on it for more than an hour before it completely locks up and forces a hard restart. Overall it’s a really nice laptop, but the freezing issues will likely cause a return for me. I think overall the issue is probably QA related and not reflective of this product line, but disappointing nonetheless.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- quiet fan
- screen colors are great
- keyboard feels nice and fluid when typing
- fingerprint scanner for biometric access
- opens applications quickly and overall runs well
- setup is voice guided and super easy
- Solid build, feels like a quality laptop
Cons:
- My machine freezes, of course
- the backlit keys are difficult to see in the light. The led keys do not contrast well with the silver color of the keys. Turning off the led lights in a bright room is a must.
- the rubber on the bottom is slippery, and the laptop slips a bit on wooden or smooth surfaces

Jorsan,
Thanks for your review and we're glad to hear about all of the things that you like about your new computer. If you'd like to diagnose the freezes that you're experiencing with your computer you can try these steps:
1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA. 2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below: a) Start the computer. b) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.) c) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter. d) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access. e) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete step 3 to see if you are able to resolve the lockups or freezing. 3. Check for Malware. Malware (Virus, Spyware, etc.) can definitely cause a Windows system to lock up or appear to hang. To check for malware on your system and to ensure that your computer is up to date on security software, visit Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2wWP1zI.
If you'd like to adjust or turn off the backlighting on your keyboard, here's an article you can read: https://dell.to/3bOZUV2.

Pros:
It's great for the price! Super fast, quiet and long battery life.
Now the Cons:
The keys are the same color as the rest of the laptop (silver), this makes it hard to see.
The anti-skid rubber does not flex enough, given its light, when you have volume at max it will shake and rattle.
The audio drivers are a bit of a mess so is the Maxx audio thing; it does nothing.
It would be nice if the chargers where not the basic 65w, it's easy to mix it up with the Latitude 3410
