Customers consistently note the Inspiron Desktop's strong performance and ease of use, praising its ample RAM, storage, and the speed of its hard drive. Many appreciate the machine's affordability and quiet operation. Needed to update our computer and looked at various options. Decided on this Dell, for one the price was even better than my employee purchase price for a same spec system and this was bundled with a really nice Netgear router and Kaspersky Internet Security software. Set up was easy; was up and running in 30 minutes. Great feature set, runs quiet, is fast and has Windows 10 which was really easy to adjust to. Good deal; glad I made this purchase

I struggled along with my old desktop computer running windows 7 because I hated windows 8 (had a laptop with it) SO very much. After Windows 10 came out and I upgraded my laptop for free I knew the time was right to buy a new desktop running windows 10. My old Acer desktop was never awful but was always slow to start up, the fan was loud and it did not have wireless internet connection so I had to have a wireless adapter which took up a port and was slow and unreliable. I looked at all the options, wanted lots of memory as I store lots of photos and other files, wanted wireless connection and I wanted speed. I did not however want to spend more than $600. This computer has met all my needs and exceeded my expectations. It is lightening fast, starts up fast, never crashes, totally dependable. Best of all it is quiet, so quiet I almost forget it is on which is a nice change from my old computer. Plus Windows 10 is a complete joy to use, better than any other Windows operating system of the past, completely user friendly and intuitive.

Short and sweet.
- Intel i5
- Lots of RAM
- Lots of HD space
- Good price and Dell has always been a solid company
Cons:
- Win 10 sucks
- Bloatware as any store bought computer. Do a fresh wipe when you get it and it will be a lot faster.

I liked the fact that the Dell computer I purchased came with the new Windows 10. Also, lots of memory (12 GB) and a 2 TB Hard Drive and the Intel Core i5 processor, which had been recommended to me. I had no big problems getting the desktop set up and running! This was a huge upgrade from what I had had previously and seems to be working wonderfully. I have been using this PC for close to a month.

I bought my Dell Inspiron computer for email, general internet surfing, personal use of office software (e.g. word processing, spreadsheet). I am not a gamer, so I'm not sure how well it would perform in that environment, but it seems to be serving my needs quite well at this point. With Intel Core i5 processors, 12GB of memory, and 2TB of disk storage, it should hopefully serve my needs well for several years in the future. Although not usually an important consideration, I especially like the quietness of this unit. It replaces an HP ENVY which always seemed to be rather irritating with a constant high pitched hum from the hard disk. I also bought this Dell on sale at Best Buy for what I felt was a good price.

I used this machine to replace the HP Vista machine that was on it's last legs. I went with the higher RAM & HD because I plan on doing some video / picture editing. Had some experience with Win8.1 from my wife's laptop and rate Win10 far superior! Love having the START button back! Haven't had any issues with this new machine and expect DELL to live up to it's reputation and keep it that way.
Very good machine for my purposes!

We were suffering with two 6 year old computers in our office. We have slow DSL because Verizon will not improve out service. Our old computers had bogged down and had insufficient RAM. We waited for Windows 10 since reviews were mostly positive. The set up and transfer of programs went well with one PC, but the other was buggy. First , popup windows that would allow purchase of apps would not stay open. After lots of trying, I restored Windows 2 and wall was well until I uninstalled the provided MacAfee antivirus program and got the blue screen of death. I then restored Windows 10 - again - and made sure I uninstalled MacAfee first. All is well. We bought more RAM than we probably need, but are happy with the configuration. Our response time on the internet is much improved and I am finally able to run Quickbooks, Chrome, Thunderbird and Word simultaneously without issue. Windows 10 has been easy to learn and use. While no expert, I am usually the go-to person in my circle for computer questions, so I was able to deal with the hiccups - but would have preferred not to have had that opportunity. On the downside, there were not a lot of answers to my problems out there yet to assist my Windows 10 issues.

Ten years ago I purchased a computer and upgraded it along the way to keep up with technology. I added memory, continually updated the OS over the years and upgraded the graphics card. I originally bought the computer with Windows XP. At the end, I was running Windows 10. Any time I talked to customer support they told me my Dell Dimension wouldn't handle Windows 7, yet I ran that for years, and even booted up Windows 10. It was time for an upgrade though. I was worried my hard drive was going to fail, and that was only because of age. Now I have a computer that is meant for todays technology and I can let my little engine that could get some rest. I'm loving the new storage space, speed and amount of memory and 64 bit.

This is a great computer. It is very quiet, reacts instantly to everything I do, had extra space inside for my 2 extra hard drives, and both a normal monitor plug in and an HDMI port which allowed both my monitors to attach. Really the only thing missing is surround sound inputs. Even more sad is that Best Buy didn't have a suitable sound card to sell me. Everything else was great though.

I use my computer for working online as well as all the usual hobby interests one would expect like video watching, music listening, and game playing. This often results in many tabs being open at once in the internet browser which used to severely slow and even crash my old computer. I used to have to wait until using my tablet in order to view videos because the plug in would crash almost immediately. While some sites and programs are not advanced enough to work with the Edge browser, the bulk of the time I can fly through my work and have had great gaming and video playback quality.

I am very pleased with this computer and consider it a business class desktop close to the leading edge of such machines. I expect it to be able to perform well for a number of years despite the inevitable increases in software size and complexity. I am finding Windows 10 fairly easy to cope with and easy to use so far, which is a pleasant surprise.

Needed a replacement for an HP Desktop that hard failed. So for it has worked without issue. I am impressed with the response speed. Descent memory. I use it for home and work projects. This would be excellent for a student. Good value.

For $500-600, it's great to get a newer Intel Pentium processor, 2TB hard drive, and all the up to date speed/performance that comes with a new PC. I get a new PC every 3-4 years for the past 25 years, and for my purposes (processor speed, memory, and storage), clunky PC always defeats stylish notebook/laptop on the spec sheet. I use it for audio processing mostly, and some video, too. It smokes the audio processes (running 48+ Audio tracks plus effects on Cakewalk Sonar), and is also a real time saver on video (Sony Vegas 11), where the difference between old and new, high and low quality, processors is the difference between minutes and hours to execute a task. Happy camper with this new PC. And 2TB storage?!?! All the high definition funny cat videos in the world can fit in 2TB. At least all the funny ones. Spend the extra $100-200, pay for it for 6-18 months/no interest, and enjoy the first class Intel ticket (and the time you'll save compared to the cheaper processors). Of course, if you're not running any processor intensive audio/video apps, then save your money, and get the $250-400 price point item, iPad, tablet, or a notebook. 2 cents.

Gotta love this nicely priced unit. Super buy for the money. Lottsa memory and storage. The only downside and its not the computer, is related to the immaturity of windows10 and edge. There is clearly a memory leak in the browser. I have to restart the browser every 30 minutes or so due to the app consuming all of its dedicated memory. It's not a big deal but it is annoying. Remember this is not the computer and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a midrange computer for spreadsheets, social apps, and managing or editing photos.

I needed to replace an aging general-purpose desktop computer that was just too sluggish. This configuration offers a very good balance between performance and cost. A 4th gen Core i-5 CPU and 12 GB of RAM is a pretty good combination at this price point. I replaced the 2 TB HDD with a 256 GB SSD for $90, and now the system is really fast.
