Awful experience, I do not know if the failures were due to the manufacture of the brand or simply the store that had it stored in warehouse for a long time. The truth is that for the $ 1935 that I paid the performance of the laptop was horrible, the battery did not last me even for a quarter of a day. when I put it to charge it got too hot both above and below. the speaker was simply fatal, everything is heard like a cockroach groping. The box inside was kind of damaged, the magnétic they fell off. Shipping was fast but very irresponsible, they just left the computer out of my house, with the very visible DELL logo. 1 ⭐️ just for the process of reimbursement.

      Leon,

Thanks for your review and we're sorry that your 2-in-1 is not working as well as you hoped it would. We'd recommend the following tips to help your computer's battery last longer:

      Change the Power Plan:

      1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.

      a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
      b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
      d) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
      e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
      f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.

If your computer is overheating, we'd recommend the following tips:

      Tips for Proper Usage:

      1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue.
      2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system.
Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage.
      3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%.
      4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis.
      5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance.
      6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.

We hope that these solutions help your computer perform better for you in the future.

      RoSant,

Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about the poor connectivity that you're experiencing. Here are some tips to help improve your WiFi Connectivity:

      1. Download and install the latest Wireless Card driver. (https://dell.to/2th3Tpe) After updating the driver, re-establish the connection with the Wireless Access Point and check the wireless performance.
      2. If the issue persists, proceed to step 3.
      3. Power-cycle the local network. Shut down the Dell system, the Wireless Access Point/Router and the Modem. Wait a minimum of 60 seconds before powering up the components in the following order:
      4. Power ON the Modem, and wait for it to boot fully.
      5. Power ON the Wireless Access Point/Router, and wait for it to boot fully.
      6. Power ON the Dell system.
      7. Open Network and Sharing Center
      8. In the left side navigation pane, click on Change Adapter Settings
      9. Right click on the wireless connection icon and select Properties followed by the Configure button
      10. Under Wireless Options, select the Wireless N mode
      11. For Windows 8 or later systems click the Advanced tab and look for 802.11n Mode on the right you will be given the option to Enable or Disable. If the mode is not visible you may need to update your drivers and firmware.
      12. From the drop-down menu, choose Disable followed by Ok
      13. This should restore the wireless download and upload speed. Internet speed can be tested at http://speedtest.net.

This is an amazing machine. I bought it to replace my nine year old laptop. It's just great. It's not the fastest machine, but fast enough to finish all my tasks quickly. The screen is great, the keys are clicky, the tough pad is so easy to use. 32 GB RAM will allow the most intense work I need to do with it.

This is just a beautiful and sleek computer - and my current favorite. I am constantly impressed with my Dell XPS 32GB laptop on a daily basis. The 13.4" screen is designed in a way, IMO, that makes it feel a little larger while I'm using it - kind of closer to a 14" - although I'm not exactly sure why. I have owned this model for a couple of months at the time of writing this review, and the performance is just flawless. It's also completely silent, and extremely solid - but also beautifully slim and compact. Aesthetically speaking, it is beautiful, and resembles another - and even pricier - brand. Comparing it to that much pricier brand, I prefer this one, hands down. There's no comparison! The colors are vibrant and pretty phenomenal, and everything on it runs very, very fast. I'm in love with the responsiveness, and it's my laptop of choice for work and play at this time - especially as I travel often and need the slimmer and smaller design. The touchscreen is similarly responsive, and the touchpad is sensitive straight out of the box. The keyboard has a very nice and comfortable layout, and I love that it's backlit with easy to see keys. I'm used to keyboards and keys being much smaller and harder to type on when more compact laptops of this size are used - but this one really maximizes everything to give you the feel of working on a more normal sized layout. The outer platinum silver is solid and robust, and I absolutely love the feel of the inside. It has a really nice feel to the touch, like a matte coating, that doesn't show fingerprints as easily as other (even more pricey) models usually do. This laptop is just, overall, a delight to use - and it's incredibly zippy, even when I'm running multiple things and multitasking heavily on it. In terms of productivity, I can easily get far more done on this in better time than my other laptops that I own. In terms of battery life, it's absolutely excellent. When I close the cover and it goes into sleep mode, it doesn't drain like all my other laptops I've used in the past. I can come back WEEKS later, and it still has plenty of juice in it. Without the cord charging it, I can go for hours and hours working on it with no problems until it's time to recharge. When I do recharge, it's VERY fast with their included cord. I also like that I can get compatible cords that aren't too horribly expensive with this, vs. other larger laptops that require far more to power it (with really bulky cords and power stations). While playing around with it, I also enjoy flipping the screen around and using it as a tablet, especially when I'm traveling. It switches effortlessly between modes as you go along, and I haven't experienced any glitches or freezes with it. I seriously have tried to find something I DON'T like about this laptop, and I truly can't find anything bad about it. The gorgeous graphics, speedy hard drive, sleek design, and overall versatility of it can't be emphasized enough, IMO. It's a very thoughtful, well-designed model that is built to last and enjoy, no matter if it's for work or play. I would give it ten stars if I could!

Terrible Computer and Terrible Customer Service

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

DO NOT BUY. I spent $1,800 on a high end model of this computer just about a year ago have had 9 straight months of nothing but problems since that time. After about three months of using the computer, I started seeing significant performance lag and a batter life of just over two hours. I had purchased Dell Premium Support, so I called and was led through nearly 2 hours of software troubleshooting. At this time, Dell also informed me that they could only promise 2 hours of battery life for this product. Dell claimed that they had fixed the problem, but a few days later the performance issues became much more significant. Apps were crashing, the computer was freezing, and the keyboard had a lag. I called Dell back and again they spent several hours troubleshooting only to assure me the problem was fixed. After a few weeks of the same poor performance, one of the USB-C ports in the side of the machine stopped working. I called Dell, yet again, but this time insisted that it must be a hardware problem and that my Premium Support should cover a replacement. Dell assured me that this couldn't be a hardware problem and that more troubleshooting would need to be done. Over the next few months, I spent nearly 10 hours with Dell on the phone begging for hardware replacements under my Premium Support contract. When Dell failed to deliver on this contract, I gave up and was forced to live with the terrible product I purchased. A few weeks ago, conveniently just two months after my Premium Support contract expired, my computer launched into a blue error screen and would not turn on. It froze every time I tried to enter the recovery screen. Again, I called Dell, who after another hour of troubleshooting, determined that I had a hardware problem and would need significant hardware replacements. Fortunately, they had renewed my Premium Support contract without my knowledge so they agreed to send a technician to my home to replace the hardware. When the technician arrived, he made the comment: "this is why you don't buy cheap computers." When I responded that the computer had cost me $1,800, he said: "it's still cheap." After replacing the hardware, the technician informed me that the computer was still not functional, as the trackpad was not not working. At this point, I was finally given a call by Dell's escalation squad. After requesting a refund, since the computer only worked well for 3 months of the nearly 13 that I had owned it, Dell told me this was not possible. I am a student who has now been without a computer to work from for nearly two weeks. Dell has seemed entirely unconcerned about the inconvenience this has caused me and has taken no action to correct their terrible product and terrible customer service. I can't recommend strongly enough that nobody ever purchase a Dell product. Certainly do not let them fool you into purchasing what they call "Premium Support."
