This is a fine espresso machine for the price. It has a relatively small footprint on the counter, and makes great foam reasonably quick. One star removed because the ink near the dial smears when the machine is hot, which is only an aesthetic issue but is still disappointing.

Have had Delonghi for a while. Wanted to try this one. It's a very dependable brand so I always stick with them.

I had the exact same model for almost 6 years and it worked like a charm, was my 2nd in 2 months, coffee is cold, it doesn't brew expresso. Don't waste your time and money.

Not sure why people gave this such bad reviews at Best Buy, but if one views other websites the overall average is much higher. I got this when it was on sale with a ton of rewards points thrown in so I got it for an even better price point, but it has been running solidly for a year now. Perhaps the other reviewers did not follow the maintenance instructions or do not have the overall experience I have with espresso machines, but the pumps are solid, the build quality is good and cleanup is easy as pie.

I have owned espresso makers in the past and have had a lot of experience with various brands. The design and functionality of this product is good, and easy, but after using it for 3 weeks now, i have still not had a good shot of espresso. Delonghi has been helpful in trying to fix the problem, but I should not have to replace parts on a brand new machine. My problem was that i could not get the machine to push the water through the filter to produce a good espresso shot. i have tried two filters they have supplied already, and both produce the same results. They are sending me a 3rd filter now, but I have decided it is not worth the trouble and am returning the product. For the price, I have worked with way better machines. Sorry to report.

Good machine for the price-have had mine for 8 yrs

I got mine as a gift about 8 years ago when this product first came out, the price then was almost $200. Really cant complain. I make a MINIMUM of one espresso and 2 cappuccinos EVERY DAY- FOR 8 YEARS. Only now has the O ring dried out and need replacing. HOWEVER, my father in-law bought the same unit 4 years ago and his does not work as well. Keep in mind he uses it 3 times a year. The more you use these machines the better they will work. As is the case with every espresso machine, wash out the filter with each use. Simply run an espresso with no coffee beans (only the handle). Hot water will cycle through the system. Takes 30 seconds and your machine can last years because of it.
