This is my first Denon brand item, I am very impressed with the quality. Superb sound, easy setup. The Audessy sound calibration system enabled the receiver to maximize sound performance for almost any size room.

Really like this receiver. It works well with the Definitive speaker set it was bundled with. Setup was familiar to me as I own a similar unit from a couple of years ago. The Audessy microphone comes with the system and adjusts the speakers automatically. This works well, but I often tweak it to have the center channel a bit louder for dialog. Wifi and AirPlay compatible is also very helpful.

After doing much research, I settled on this AVR as a replacement for a intermittently failing Onkyo I had only had for 3+ years. This receiver has great sound, functions, and easy set up!

Coming from an older Denon 590, this receiver is a great update. X series provides an additinal year on the warranty and Audyssey with more filters for the surrounds. I also appreciated the cardboard mic stand. This one had k4 passthrough, HDCP 2.2, and will update to HDR in the future. Overall a quality product that is future proofed.

I have owned many Denon receivers over the years, so I knew it would have a powerful amplifier and clean sound. My current receiver lacked a lot of the current features of today; multiple HDMI inputs, 3D, Wi-Fi, etc. This receiver does everything my old receiver did and more. The set up was a breeze, and I am loving the clean uncompressed sound of my Blu-ray movies played through it. Internet radio and 4K were a bonus.

The instructions on this receiver are terrible. Once I played with it for a while it ended up being really simple. I'm happy and have not even used all of the features available.

Unit sounds and works great. I like how there is a Hemingway pass through when unit is not powered on. When settings are set to TV the graphics are 8bit and bare. Easy to use. Navigate settings are simple

Easy to use, great sound, great overall VALUE! I recently replaced my Pioneer Elite Reciever which cost hundreds more for this Denon and it's definitely a better sounding Reciever and easier to use! I love the highs in the Denon'

This is my 2nd Denon receiver. My other receiver is 100% more operational and setup in the playroom. This receiver is for my new system. The ease of setup was as expected, and the wireless and online capabilities were a pleasant surprise that are easy to use. I like that I can navigate online applications through my TV.

This amp does what it is advertised to do. I had a Pioneer Elite which was not so elite imo. It had problems with the hdmi color when switched along with volume control all during the one year in use. The Denon is so much better and easier to set up. I only had it for three months but it has worked flawlessly.

This receiver is outstanding and does a great job. We had the Geek Squad set up the system which I found helpful as they gave a great tutorial how to use the receiver in the various modes.

Easy set up, Connects to home network. No CD inputs. But this Unit has a lot of cool options. Remote looks feels a bit cheap for what you pay . All in all this is a cool unit.

Everythings working great so far! My only complaint would be the limited instructions. It took me a whole two weeks to really figure most everything out. I bet there's still some stuff I'm missing though.

    Perfect replacement for original unit

Magnolia installed my original home theater system about ten years ago, and it served me well until the Denon AV receiver originally installed died a few weeks ago. The Geek Squad recommended I stick with a Denon as a replacement because it would simplify the installation, setup and learning curve for the user (me and my wife). The AVR-X1200W was the least expensive model that met my needs. It actually cost less than the original unit I had. It provides functionality beyond the original unit (e.g. Blu Tooth connectivity, several more HDMI connections, and a smaller size). The Geek Squad rep installed, set it up, and walked me through use instructions in a short time. I am totally satisfied with the result.

I did the research on this tuner prior to purchasing. I read other reviews, blogs and write-ups from tech and audio sites that had reviewed it. Overall, I would say that it performs as advertised. The set-up was a little tedious, but effective in fine tuning for the room. It definitely takes some additional manual tweaking to get a balanced sound. The feature set is good for tuners in this price range. I only have a few knocks against it. For one, it is painfully slow at transitioning between inputs and at turn on. Secondly, it has a very aggressive safety mode that shuts everything down and requires a restart. It is something that I didn't experience with the same inputs and volume level with the Yamaha tuner it replaced. Maybe it's a good thing?

    Great A/V Receiver

I purchased this to upgrade my home theater from a Yamaha RX V-373. I wanted to future proof everything and this fits the bill. The only thing it does not do is convert video to 4k (it does pass through). I don't need that as I don't own anything 4k but when I do the TV and video component I purchase will do that and much better than the A/V receiver can. I purchased this with the Def Tech ProCinema 600 speakers as it was a special going on; saved $400 doing so. Sounds great and works like a charm.

I initially got a Yamaha receiver with a Def tech pro cinema 600 bundle but was having issues and swapped it for this denon receiver. The Denon produces noticeably better sound and I am happy with my purchase.

Geek Squad easily connected the Denon to my system and I love the sound. It worked great with 20 year old Bose speakers and works even better with my new Definitive Technology speaker system.
