Step by step setup made hookup a piece of cake. This unit does an excellent job powering my energy bookshelf speakers. It also doesn't lack for inputs. Very happy overall.

I wanted a receiver that had app support and WIFI integration. I had an older Denon and thought I would try a different brand. After many hours of comparing I went with Denon again because it had a nice app, WIFI, Dolby ATMOS and Airplay. I can control all my equipment from the Denon App on my iPhone and I can open Spotify on my iPhone and AirPlay right through my receiver, it turns on the TV HDMI and shows what music is playing. I crank up the volume tell it to play on all Surround Speakers and it blows all my friends away. All while sitting at the kitchen bar. Awesome flexibility and control and sounds awesome with my Bowers and Wilkins in-wall speakers and Polk Audio in-wall Center Channel. Thanks Best Buy and Magnolia gurus for leading me in the right path. Denon has also released two receiver upgrades so far and they are easy to accept and apply. I couldn't happier.

I have used Yamaha Recievers for the last 20 years, so when it was time to update my system I planned in getting another Yamaha. Before I made my final decision, I did some research on BestBuy.Com, I read a lot on Consumer Reports and online and I talked with the guys in Magnolia at Best Buy. The end result was that I bought this Denon AVR-X3200W Receiver and I could not be happier.
The sound is amazing. Easy to set up and lots of flexibility for personal preferences. Yamaha makes great recievers, no doubt. But to my ears, this Denon receiver is exceptional.

I got a great deal and read good things about Denon so I decided to give it a try. I must say it was extremely easy to install and setup for my surround system as well as my additional Zone 2 speakers. Sound great and has more than enough power to watch a movie in Main Zone and drive 4 sets of speakers in Zone 2 at the same time.

This is the easiest receiver I've ever set up. Very intuitively labeled inputs and easy set up guide... That surprisingly enough was easy to follow! The sound is awesome although I did have to adjust the center channel higher in surround mode but I'd argue this was only out of preference and certainly not required.

The Good: For its price point, you will not find a receiver with more features. This is as future proof as you can get for the money. All of the most recent audio and HDMI standards are present. The sound is clear and well distributed to all speakers when appropriate.
The Bad: I have owned three Denon receivers and this is the first one which has had a problem. The Audio Return Channel (ARC) did not work properly when connected to the new Vizio P65. The picture and sound would drop off the monitor and come back in 5 seconds. Best Buy allowed me to swap with a second Denon AVR 3200 and the picture and sound no longer dropped off the monitor. But I did continue to get an annoying message about an audio device found. That was eliminated by turning off ARC on the Denon. So the problem was solved, but I lost the ability to control volume through the cable company remote. So while the solution was not perfect, I could live with it.
I also have to give a lot of praise to Riley and Justin in the Castleton IN Best Buy. This issue took over two months to resolve. I had Vizio blaming Denon and Denon blaming Vizio. These guys stuck with me and gave me a lot of suggestions to try. They did not try to pull things like "Once the first 30 days are up, you have to deal with the manufacturer." They did not desert me after the sale like some other salespeople do.

went through 4 recievers in a few months trying to get the right one for my massive klipsch setup, then i found this one. still not enough for my set up but it will work for now. after searching for months for the best deal on a powerfull receiver this is truly the best one for around 1000.00 $. anything more powerfull is in the 2000.00 range and i cant afford that much at the moment. only gave 4 stars bc the customer service is terrible

I replaced a 10 year old Yamaha AVR with this one. It was fairly easy to set up. It seems like it's leap and bounds ahead of what I had. There plenty of power. It does a great job of driving all my speakers (7). I love the Atmos decoding. Gives a whole new dimension to listening to movies.

If you read my other reviews you will understand the title of this review a little better! This was my third attempt at getting a receiver that would compliment the several thousand of dollars we have spent on the top of the Line Martin-Logan speaker system we know own. The 1st Maratz unit would turn on all by itself in the middle of the night and scare the living crud out of my wife and I. Can you imagine a full surround sound system coming on in the middle of the night in your town home while you're upstairs sleeping? No obvious reason ever found. I returned the Marantz unit and of course they didn't have anymore of this unit to replace it with. I was talked into a Pioneer elite unit at this point ( see other review ). After the suggested iPhone app would not work with the Pioneer Elite unit, and the on-screen display looks like something from 1980, I finally gave up trying to get the 2nd unit to pass signal of ANY KIND and returned it as well. I tried for two hours to no avail to get the Pioneer unit to pass signal. The 3rd unit is the Denon unit I have presently. This Denon unit is what it would be like if Marantz had gotten it right. It shared the same on the screen option display but had more in-depth settings than any of the other units I tried. This Denon was a breeze to set up. The display on the front gives more immediate information to the user. I have enjoyed this unit and it's options so
much more than any other unit. I only wish it had the turntable amp built in for my turntable but in this day and age that is not a deal breaker. I use the CD input and that gives me all the options i need for audio in the system. I may get a different phono pre amp later on to warmup the sound a bit but my turntable has a built in preamp and the option of using a stand alone pre amp as well. It also up converts video inputs as expected and allows me to control my entire system with one remote. SONY Bravia 4K TV. Apple TV, blue ray, phonograph. Bluetooth, Internet radio. Etc. very versatile amp. I suggest spending your bulk of budget on the centerpiece of your system and that is the receiver in my opinion. You can always add more speakers so start off small and highest quality possible but make the receiver the bulk of your budget and the anchor of your system.

picked this Denon AVR up on open box, clearance. only unit left in entire metro area. compares very favorably with equivalent level Marantz unit. very little difference in new year model, has same functionality. All latest decoding with adequate power for very nice sound system. Extreme flexibility for adding additional amplifiers & multi-zone sound. Very pleased with purchase !!

Replaced an aging Pioneer Elite AV receiver with this. Simple set up with plenty of power, great sound and picture quality. The included mic and stand made the automatic room calibration process easy and resulted in a well balanced sound stage the first time. On-screen menus are well laid out and easy to navigate. Powering Infinity Betas up front, B&W surrounds and SVS sub.

Great Home Theatre System for Main Room in House

I had already use a previous Denon Home Theatre System that finally quit connecting to the internet. So, I upgraded to the current system. It was relative easy to install and is consistently putting out quality audio for cable TV, on demand movies, and Netflix. The system is connected to relatively small speakers as it is installed in the main room in the house and not a dedicated theatre room.

Works great, on screen setup. Only thing is it is kind of complicated to setup properly, going from an old 7.1 Sony Home theater to this is a major upgrade and new technology. First Receiver I had that has wifi and updates. Still trying to get the speakers and subwoofer to match the receiver properly. Great price, got it on sale.

Before we bought this one we had tried several other receivers but none of them were anywhere nearly as good as this one. With this receiver I'm hearing sounds that never showed up on the other receivers in my gameplay and in movies.

This is a good product and with the proper cooling and ventilation is a winner! My four Klipsch R26F, two R15M, and two R12SW subs all function and sound well! The windows definitely rattle! I added a cooling fan and allowed for about 8" clearance above to allow heat dissipation and cooling because when this beast is put to work it gets HOT! So far, so good!
