Often we have found this symptom to be an EDID issue, which can be resolved when a more advanced HDMI cable is being used. We recommend an HDMI version 2.0, or more recent for the best communications between your sources/screen and your receiver. I’m not happy with how Best Buy has consulted me through this process. May be done with Best Buy in the future.

Needed a new one when my husband hooked up two older ones we had from years ago and neither of them worked. Just realize that when you put this into an audio tower, you need to leave room to raise the antennas in the back.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm setting up my 800h as I get time, but wanted to alert customers that, as is often the case, the purported "specs" for this item contain several errors. For example, the warranty is two years (not three); there are TWO subwoofer outputs (unusual at this price point); etc. There are more errors but I don't have time to proofread the entire listing. If BB doesn't care, why should I? "Buyer beware!"

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So I didn’t select this receiver on my own. I selected a higher model number. I was convinced by Magnolia to buy this model. While it works well for me in my reduced and less than desirable architecture design it’s not what I wanted. Note that this is a stereo only system. While it is a video switching receiver it doesn’t have 5.1 or greater output. Secondly there are two zones. I bought a multi channel amp for the interior of the house off zone 2. I had zone 1 for the exterior. Zone 2 has limited audio switching capabilities. Look at the sources for zone 2. Also I had difficulty with getting tv audio out of the tv while I was using an LG sound bar in ARC mode. There’s no audio out without disconnecting the SN11RG. So one of my use cases which I was very very clear about was playing the tv audio throughout the entire house for a broadcast like the super bowl. I no longer can do that.

Posted .Hello, we apologize for the miss information. The Denon DRA-800H is amazing for those who cannot connect a 5.1 speaker system but still want the wonderful features of an AV receiver. It is not recommended to use a sound bar with a receiver. They are not meant to work together.

The unit got so hot on the right hand side up top you could not even touch it. What’s funny is people on crutchfields website had similar experiences with this unit. The sound was ok, not much better than my Yamaha rn303. Definitely would not buy a demon receiver these days, they are not the quality denon was in the 90’s and early 2000’s
