Totally happy with sound and features. HEOS and Alexa are a great match. I control receiver with my voice. I bought the same receiver for my son as a house warming gift.

I shopped around for about a month, I researched Pioneer Elite, Onkyo, Marantz, Sony, and Yamaha. I went on multiple websites, including Crutchfield, in the end I chose Denon. I heard so many good things about these receivers. I am glad I did, It blows away my pioneer I had, the VSX LX 102. I thought that had great sound but I needed an upgrade, The sound is amazing, I do have the best speaker wire. Why upgrade without great wire. I also upgraded my speakers to the ELAC Debut 2.0, with the dolby atmos elacs. My little system sounds great!!! 5.1.2. Easy set up, but played with the settings to get the perfect sound. That was time consuming because I'm a perfectionist. Great receiver. Very happy with purchase. I also have the Martin Logan Dynamo 700 subwoofer. In order to finalize your system you really do need a great sub.

My immediate "need" was 5.1 with a 2nd zone but I did want room to grow. My other requirement was that the unit have the highest customer rating reasonably possible. The AVRX-3500 fit the bill. Sound is brilliant and the setup was very easy. Some tweaking was needed as the mic determined my rear speakers were small but they are big. I was concerned about handshaking issues but found a reasonable solution. I need to power up the Denon and then my box & TV. Works great and nothing locks up.

I used to do college radio and we used Marantz CD players. They sounded great and seemed to be made of iron, lasting forever despite continuous use. When it came time to replace my home system, I went with them. My Marantz Universal Blu-ray player is still going strong, but not my Marantz receiver. One by one I lost 5 of the 8 HDMI inputs. I did a little research and found that this is a common problem, but not for Denon even though they are owned by the same company. I went with the AVR3500H and I am thrilled. More power to feed my 4 Ohm speakers and better surround separation. It also has the advantage of having phono inputs, although only for MM. No matter, there are plenty of MC preamps out there. Overall it sounds great and the video is much more clear. I highly recommend it!

I am longstanding Denon fan that needed an upgrade.
Great sound, easy to set up. almost all features one needs. The price to performance ratio was excellent.
My only minor complaint was the lack of a complete printed manual, but easy to download.
This is a great addition to a home theater

Denon AVR-X3500H 7.2 AV Receiver

In July 2019, I purchased the Denon AVR-X3500H 7.2 AV Receiver from another store , only because it was on sale and cheaper than Amazon at the time. I researched a number of different AV receivers and decided on this one. I wanted to use it for a while before I wrote a review. The receiver works excellent for me, does everything it is supposed to do. Set up was easy, using the receiver itself is easy. At this point I don't have a complaint about the Denon AVR-X3500H 7.2 AV Receiver. If for some reason I had to replace it, I would get another Denon AVR-X3500H 7.2 AV Receiver if possible. I recommend the Denon AVR-X3500H 7.2 AV Receiver.

Great-sounding, easy to set up, and extensive features on this receiver. After looking at Pioneer, Sony, Maranz, the Denon won me over due to $200 price reduction. Made my 20 year old Klipsch speakers sound brand new.
Only knock is the remote is a little cheap looking, but it’s functional. IOS apps work well as does Airplay.

I needed a receiver with 3 outputs (TV, projector, and 2nd smaller TV), two sub woofer outputs, and that also did 4K HDR passthrough and up-conversion. This receiver does a great job and after a month I can highly recommend it!! It was easy to setup and has great sound. It does a great job on the 4k HDR native and up-conversion too! Watch for the sale prices!

I picked this up to replace another very powerful receiver (it weighed 50lbs) that died after 10 years. I did a lot of research and thought this was a great value for the quality that I was looking to refresh my 7.1 surround system. Newer blu-rays with Dolby Atmos, even though I don't have an Atmos setup, sound incredible on my system through this receiver. Setup and configuration was a breeze with the included mic and setup process. Highly recommend this product and am very happy with my purchase.

I’m using this with 4K Blu-ray and 7.1 speaker setup. Sound is great, setup was reasonably easy and it comes with the tools to tune for the room.
If I was doing it over I would pay the extra for the unit with the higher output; volume is fine but I think it could drive the speakers just a little better.
Still a great product for the price and we are happy with it.

Well let me say first that I have tried allot or receivers in the past. I have had most major brands including a low end Denon. Well I got a pretty good deal on this one so thought I would give it a try. Well I will be keeping this one. The sound is outstanding. It works good with movies or music which was hard to get from my previous receivers. Set up was pretty easy with the on screen menu. Very happy with this one.

This is for the 3400h. Amazing sound, PQ is also great! Setup with audyssey multeq xt32 is user friendly. Nice future features such as auto game switching and eARC ready. Highly recommended if your're not breaking the bank for a high end HT and don't want to compromise too much sound quality and features.

Currently in the process of putting together a home theater setup in my basement, wasn’t sure what receiver to get but I knew I wanted one with preouts so I could add an exteramp if I wanted (to take the load off the internal amp of the receive and keep it running cooler) . My brother and dad have a Denon receiver and have never had a problem with theirs so the choice was easy. While looking at it one day online i saw it was on sale for $250 off and my local store had some in stock. Jumped in The car and picked it up. The setup is very easy to follow, it takes you through and asks all the speakers you have in your room. I only have the front 3 now but plan on adding rears and front elevation. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and am looking forward to showing it off to people when they come over.

Fantastic Receiver eARC and VRR/ALLM OOB

eARC is a game changer! I literally no longer have a reason to buy disks except maybe classics for that extra high bitrate, because Dolby Atmos UHD streams now come through in glorious lossless audio, and its noticeable (up to 35mbps audio stream over eARC) plus it fixes lipsync issues as auto lip sync is mandatory on eARC.
Easy setup, and AudessXT32 does a great job of room correcting, especially in the bass area. Big jump from my Denon S720W. Pairs well with the LG C9 OLED which supports HDMI 2.1 including eARC right out of the box. Hopefully be able to price match soon when the X3600H releases here soon.

Im replacing a pioneer AVR with this. It has a little more power per channel and it has Atmos too. Hookup went well and now its just a learning time for the features. Sound is excellent, and it can run both my subs
