This game had so much promise. It failed to deliver on a lot. The gameplay mechanics are great and it is fun to play with friends. There is no true story in this game. I would not get this if you do not have any friends on this game. The solo experience in this game is not fun. The game has changed drastically since release as well too.

Destiny is not a perfect game, even though I rate it 5 stars. If you are looking for a Mass Effect style story with lots of interaction with NPCs and great characters, you won't find it here. Destiny is a straight up shooter, with MMO style interactions with other players. My biggest complaint is that the worlds, which are very big, feelsomewhat empty. There are lots of enemies to shoot, but very little to discover. The thing you are most likely to discover are other guardians (players). If you want to get in the right mindset, and they aren't jerks, you can actually have fun/ and interact with that player. The shooting is a lot of fun, there are lots of missions, and the multiplayer is a blast for me. I give it 5 stars because it is fun. I keep wanting to do one more mission, or get one more piece of loot. I really like it, and personally rate it 5 stars because of that, but it won't be the be-all end-all for everyone.

It's a good collector's edition depending on if you think the added ghost figure is worth 50. The base stuff that comes with it, which include the 2 future expansions, make it worth it (included in the regular limited edition). While my box came damaged (the outer box) everything inside was mint. I like the ghost figure a lot and I think it's worth the money I paid for.

Haven't played the game enough to review the gameplay, but I can say the content on the ghost edition is well worth the $150. First the ghost statue is amazing it light up with motion, you get the expansion pack, extra suit, and a nice note book with cards.

(moms scroll to end)even though you cant buy the ghost edition anymore i would still suggest you purchase destiny especially if you dont mind pvp games the campaign is short but replayable and the pvp has very few hackers in it at least for now although i am comparing that to cod. i love the fact that two of the voices are played by firefly actors and the game actually has a few firefly references. the reward system is purely chance for most play variants but that just keeps it exciting NOTE TO MOMS no sexuality cursing or blood in this game but the violence is unceaseing

Destiny is an AMAZING game! If not the game of the year, it could possibly be the game of the decade! Online is seamless and the amount of content keeps the game going long after the story ends - which is great, because the story mode isn't all that long - which is probably my biggest gripe.

This is a really nice collector's edition with a lot of really cool content. The game is fun and addicting, but the story is severely lacking.

While Destiny does fall short of it's hype, it is still a great game with challenging and fun gameplay that is marred by a mediocre, well... everything else. The mission design is repetitive, the loot system is not rewarding, the lack of voice chat, the non-existent story and despite all this I keep finding myself coming back for the amazing gameplay.

I am not a FPS aficionado, but I do enjoy MMOs. Destiny set its hooks in me with its early previews and hype. As a long time World of Warcraft player, I was intrigued by the prospect of gunslinging my way through an MMO. Destiny provides this in spades, while it may be repetitive to most, I feel that MMO's at the core are all repetitive and that appeals to a certain subset of gamers. As far as the Ghost Edition, each and every element is beautiful and nicely crafted. With the one exception being the box itself. The box is a fiber and cardboard hybrid which is built to look like a destiny universe relic. The durability of the box is poor, but the contents inside are durable and very nice to display. The ghost replica is a unique item which lights up and has voice tied to a motion sensor. The physical goods like the art book and patches are great if you are a fan of the in-game mythos. All in all this is one of my favorite collector's editions and one that will be displayed years beyond my playing of destiny.

I'll start out by stating that I very much enjoy Destiny, but I'll focus these comments on the actual collector's edition. The main difference between this edition and the limited edition is that this version comes with the Ghost replica. The Ghost is a really well made extra. It's heavier than one might expect and is built with a rechargeable battery and three different settings: Off, Light only, and motion-activated sounds. There's a nice range of sounds, but it will be repetitive after a while and you'll most likely switch it to lights only before long. All of the other extras that come in other editions are of great quality as well and they're a nice accompaniment to the actual game. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

It is rare that established video game companies would release a truly rare limited edition / collector's edition of a Franchise that has as much Hype as Destiny. But surprises are at hand that this is truly is limited and hard to find. A few days after announcing this sku it was Sold out and has not come back in stock in great demand from any retailer. Earlier adopts of the game will be pleased that they truly have a one of a kind Edition of this fantastic game. The game itself is a Game of the Year (GOTY) contender and a must play for any online FPS player.

Game of the year by far. And collector's edition of the year. Ghost edition comes with a ghost replica and other goodies. Well worth it.

Very hard item to get, ordered online with instore pickup. Box was completely torn down the right side. Couldn't get replacement but got a credit due to the damage. The outer box is a thicker cardboard so I can see why this has been a wide spread issue. Other than that great product and game. And quick response from best buy on giving at least a small credit back for my trouble.

Think of WOW on launch day vs. Now. I picked up the Ghost edition from the store. Box was in perfect condition. I have seen Youtube videos of damaged products shipped. Not so with Best Buy. Recommend all future collectors editions purchased from Best Buy!

Game is fun to play. Extras that come is the ghost edition are well made.

The destiny ghost edition is a high quality piece for every gamer to enjoy. The DLC is worth the price and the art book, steel case, motion activated ghost are quality icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend to anyone who can get their hands on one. Although selling it on eBay for the $350 going price is tempting....

I really enjoy the game and this is definitely one of the better collector's edition by a game company. If you like Halo 3 ODST Firefight mode combined with aspects from Borderlands, Diablo, and mmo-esque features then this game is for you.

If you are a collector this is the piece to get assuming you can find one in stock anywhere. The game itself unfortunately is a bit bland, hopefully raid content(which hasn't unlocked yet) gives it some longer legs.
