I like the show but its not so amazing like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad

Dexter Season 2 continues along with pretty much everything that made the first season great, although of course there are some new plot twists. This plot summary is incomprehensible if you haven't seen the first season, just to warn you. The Ice Truck Killer is gone, and now Dexter looks ahead to getting his life together and moving onward. However, the bagged bodies of his victims are uncovered at the bottom of the bay he uses as a dumping site. Also, dexter is dealing with Sergeant Doakes, who now follows him everywhere he goes, making it impossible for Dexter to fulfill his murderous duties. As Dexter seeks to divert the police away from finding out about his other life, the final straw comes as Rita comes to the (incorrect) conclusion that Dexter is a heroin addict and forces him to join a recovery program, where he meets Lila, a strange, free-willed woman who leads Dexter into dark territory. There a lot to keep you interested this season, and if you liked the first season, you definitely shouldn't skip out on this one.

This season is my personal second favorite to the fifth. It follows our antihero Dexter Morgan, the serial killer of serial killers, in a cat and mouse game where he's the mouse. The police have discovered dozens of bodies in the bay of Miami dismembered and thrown away. All of these "victims" however were known or suspected killers. The police and media dub this new vigilante serial killer The Bay Harbor Butcher. Dexter has no main serial killer to track this season because he is the main serial killer. This is the one season that takes a completely different path than the others. Something rarely done in TV and it makes for a wonderful change. Buy this season and all the rest, You will not regret it.

I found all the Dexter dvd's on sale for $19.99 at best buy and couldn't pass up buying them all. This show is on my top 5 list of greatest shows of all time. The plot is original, and their storylines always keeps you guessing at what is going to happen next. The acting is very strong all around. Michael C. Hall is perfect for this role. If you don't mind a lot of blood, swearing, and some nudity then you definitely must buy this series.

Without giving away too much plot, season two is not quite as believable as season one, but this is a minor quibble. These episodes will keep reeling you in until the very last. This is great writing, and the proof of this is the way you begin to care about these characters, even our grim yet endearing protagonist, Dexter. Jeff Lindsay invented a character that is destined to be a classic in pop literature. Dexter is a new kind of antihero, and if you're skeptical just read the first book, DARKLY DREAMING DEXTER (the audio book is great, too). You'll shake your head in amazement that Mr. Lindsay came up with this guy! SPOILER ALERT: There is some great character development in season two, especially with Dexter's sister Deborah. Every time I see an episode, I just want to give her a big hug and tell her everything is going to be all right (even though I know it's not). Jennifer Carpenter plays this character perfectly. She's a beautiful mixture of independence and need, and her romance with Detective Lundy (Ketih Carradine) is pure sparkling chemistry. Sgt. Doakes continues to hound Dexter to the point of obsession, and Laguerta ups the ante in her games of manipulation. Doakes's story arc is a heartbreaker. There are a couple of plot holes involving Dexter's Dad, but nothing I couldn't overlook. If you have a strong stomach and a love for a great story, don't hestitate to read and watch Dexter. Read my review for season one of Dexter to get my opinion on the gratuitous nudity and language (i.e. there's a lot of it).

The show is great. If you are getting the 2nd season you already know what to expect from Dexter. For those of you who haven't seen it but are thinking about it... It starts off strange. I didn't like watching the very two first shows b/c it made me feel funny liking a guy that was going around killing people. But you soon will find that there's more to it, and you can't help but to like and support him. (The show also offers a justification for his killings) I usually don't even like things like this... but I can't get enough now!!

This season's plot is great as Dexter is being hunted. The plot weaves perfectly into the game of chasing the Dexter all over Miami while protecting and going extremes to hide himself from the FBI. This is probably my favorite season since it has a lot more action and climaxes at every episode. Just watch out for the second disc. It can easily pop out of the case and get scratched.

If you want to see a TV show which will keep you on your toes this is the one. The story has alot of hidden reasons why Dexter is the way he is. As life continues to be changing for him his memory goes back to his childhood, this helps him deal with the present. I had looked else where and could not get the complete seasons at once. I have been pleased with the product and plan on using Best Buy for all my movie purchases.

This has to be the best drama on TV. Michael C. Hall is amazing in the title role, he plays it to perfection you almost believe he could really be a serial killer. He is a good guy but he has a dark side which he uses for good. This season is just as good as the first if not better, I just think the Ice Truck killer plot was amazing. But this season really helps Dexter discover himself and explore what he really wants to be.

I had never really watched Dexter, but have been slowly watching through the prior seasons. Season 2 is really good, with lots of suspense, an expanding of the cast of characters, the relationships, and the background of Dexter. There's not a big antagonist character like the first season, but there's still plenty of suspense

If you were hooked from the first episode then you will love dexter season 2. Season 2 has more twists and turns then the first season and a few surprises that will have you bitting your nails in suspense.

If you are a fan of the overall premise of "The Boondock Saints," where a group or an individual rid of the criminals who escape justice, this is the show for you. Michael C. Hall plays Dexter, the protagonist must balance family life with his well hidden serial killing life, keeping it an utmost secret. This is a must buy!

The season is awesome! i saw the whole season in one day, because i couldn't stop watching it! Its so good, the suspense its unbelievable, it keeps you wanting more and more. The only thing i didn't like was the side stories, they were a little weak, but would not give it much importance. Can't wait for Season 3!!

Dexter has been really incredible to watch. First season was AMAZING. Second season was Really GOOD too. Hooked. Can't wait to watch season 3 and the rest. REALLY APPRECIATE THE HIGH QUALITY DVD'S FROM BEST BUY and the sale prices! So, totally recommend Dexter.

I like it when Dexter talks to himself and plans his next victim. I wish they would cover that a little more and let us know a little more about his victims. I think they have his sister sleeping around way to much. I would like to hear from the writers at the end of the disc.

well I am sure that all will agree that Micheal C. Hall portrays a great Dexter and I am so glad that this "book" series turned into a drama. A very great drama to say the least. as for the comment above, they have a third book and its awesome.

My husband and I totally enjoyed the first season of Dexter, so were not disappointed by the Second Season. We are now looking forward to purchasing the Third Season.

Even more intelligent writing than season 1. I don't know if they're gonna be able to beat this season. Like usual, there's a ton of different emotions: laughter, fear, suspense, love etc. It's great.

I enjoyed the first season of Dexter, and was not disappointed by the second. They just keep getting better. I can't wait for season 3.

Dexter is a very original show and the second season is just as suspenseful as the first, if not more!
