Here are my impressions regarding this game: Pros: I liked the addition of over new 100 Digimon to the game (300+ in total). It was nice to see what the side characters were up to when you did not see them in the first game. The story was good overall. It was a pain to get the pre-order bonus but once I received it via email, it filled up my Field Guide and I got a couple costumes. Cons: You must have played the previous game in order to understand this game. The story felt disjointed at times because the main character from the previous game impacted your story. Not much was improved design wise so if you were not familiar with the layout, you are bound to go through a learning curve. You will have to do a ton of level grinding if you plan on completing your Field Guide. You do not get a choice of gender for your protagonist, but it is about one person after all. On a final note, you have to pay for the DLC in this game, versus the previous game which was free. Overall, it was a good game. I have considered going back and forth between this game and the previous game to see if I would get a fuller story. I highly recommend this game if you have played the previous one in the series.

I grew up watching Digimon and while I enjoyed it as a kid and tween, I would've never thought of purchasing a Digimon game. It always seemed like a kids thing. Something called me though as I walked by this game in Bestbuy and I'm glad I got it. It was on sale, very cheap, but I'd pay full price for this. It feels like the developers wanted to create a game for both new fans and younger audience, but also for older (former fans) like me. The story is much more grown up, but not too adult that kids can't get into this. There's no risky themes, at least no out right ones, but the plot is interesting. The gameplay is really fun. I love how stylized this game is too, it's much more like Persona than it is Pokemon.

I haven't bplayed a Digimon game since Digimon World was released on PlayStation back in 1999. I love turn based RPGs and being able to select different Digimon to use in battle. The menu system can take a bit getting used to but with time can become second nature.

I have never played one of those old Digimon games in the others consoles but after play this one I can let you sure you won't regret it to buy it. It has a great story, all the digimons that you can imagine and the gameplay is awesome.

After playing the first game, I fell in love with this series. There are plenty of Digimon to choose from and a long interesting story to enjoy. If you like pokemon games, this is more than likely up your alley.

A great sequel to the wonderful franchise Great graphics, lots of fun and enjoyable story.

Story & character wise definitely better than the 1st game, as well as having more digimon to use.

I was a big fan of digimon as a kid, so I figured if anything this game would provide some good nostalgia, but I really enjoyed the game overall. I'm a big fan of JRPGs like Persona and Final Fantasy, and this game offers gameplay similar to those. If you're a fan of JRPGs too, you'll likely enjoy this game as well!

I really like how there is a lot more content in this latest entry of the Digimon Story series than the prequel & speaking of the prequel it happens at the same time setting as the previous game which is pretty weird but they make it work out

Do you like RPG's and Digimon?! Get this game. Like RPG's? this game is a different and fun experience. Like Digimon? Get this, very different from Yokai Watch AND Pokemon. Don't like RPG's or Digimon? This game may not change your mind, but it is insanely addictive and fun.

Looks like a fun game but I’ve been not able to get to it yet but if you are a fan of dig I’m on then it is worth it. I dunno but I felt like it was a mix between persona and Pokémon so I wanted to try this out.

This was a fun Digimon game. It is a sequel to Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth. While I recommend playing the first one it is not needed. Hopefully a third one or another one in the same artistic and game play style will be made.

Different type of game for my taste but I still enjoyed it. If you want the most out of the story you'll need to play the previous game to understand characters and environment.

This is a wonderful Turn-Based JRPG. This is a Wonderful Digimon Game. This is a wonderful Sequel/Prequel. This is just a wonderful game overall.

I thought this was going to be an easy Pokémon rip off, but I was definitely wrong. It’s got some complex mechanics and depth to it. I’d recommend for sure

Was really surprised to see this game exist. Like the first game in this series it plays like Person meets Digimon. It's great if you're a fan of either of those things.

Lots of reused areas from the last game, this could have easily been a expansion to cyber sleuth which was an excellent game.

Much of the same from the last 2 minus some minor additions and changes, but if you like the Digimon series, you will like this one as well. Definite must buy for Digimon fans!
