I have long been a fan of Dirk Gently, starting with the books. The first season took a bit to get invested in the characters, but once you did what a wild ride. The second season picks-up with very little exposition and gets right back into it. This second season uncovers a bit more of the mystery to the craziness, but the more you learn the more you feel invested in the world and the characters. I just can't believe there won't be a third season. They definitely left the door open for it, so let's hope they reverse course on that.

I've compared this series to the Amazon Prime version of The Tick, and I mean that in the best way. The characters and stories are a lot of fun, and the way the series has been updated feels fresh. As the show's final season, it's important to know that the series does not end the way the first season did, which I think fans should appreciate.

The plot and writing are not as interesting or polished as the first season, but the actors' performances remain stellar and carry the series. Half a dozen new characters bring fantastic performances without stealing the main cast's thunder.

You get back Dirk, Bart and the Rowdy 3 along with Todd and Farah along with new Blackwing subjects. You lose the soul swappers but get magic and an alternate universe! If you don't like it, you must be a witch-a-cuckoo.

Great series! Glad to have it in my library at an affordable price!
