    Good value for little money

The machine performed better than more expensive, heavier vacuum cleaners I've owned. The upholstery brush was a bit scary, it was so powerful cleaning my couch with the whirling brushes. The narrow dusting brush made it easier to get into narrow spots, compared to the standard type of brush. My only complaints: the cord was very long and it didn't retract automatically so I had to carry around loops of cord and had to be careful not to vacuum over it. The motor exhaust comes rather powerfully out of the front, which seems like it would blow away any dust or dirt on the floor before you could vacuum it up. The ribbed hose often popped out of the attachment wands when I was vacuuming if I pulled it just a little too much.

    Good deal at the store

I bought this at the store because it was - $ 10 compared to the online retail. The vacuum seems very good compared to its price, it's still easy to handle because it looks big but it's lighter than some others I have tried ( that were $ 400 O_o). Anyways it features the so called "power paw" that you can use to clean upholstery and remote corners of your room. It also has the expandable wand and the sleek device that helps you clean in between appliances and furniture. AND a brush which I am not sure what to use for. BUT anyways. I paid 59.99 and I also got a $ 10 gift card. So far so good, it has a good suction on the bare floor as well, need to try it on the carpet. I guess it's a good deal for students, even because it has a cord so you don't need to charge it every so often, which made me crazy at one point with the previous we got (SHARK, paid 80 dollars and NOT worth it.)

This is the first bagless vacuum I've purchased and was leary because this one was quite a bit cheaper (almost half) the price of the other bagless models. I am impressed with the suction. I also like the pile control which goes from high pile to bare floor. One thing I did find out is that it really does work best when you clean the filter after each use. This is VERY easy as all you do is rinse it off. Also the dirt cannister comes completely apart so you can wash every bit of it. I must say I am impressed with this vacuum. I have a house cleaning company and have used an Oreck for yrs. So I am very surprised at how much I liked this one.

Great performance. It has great suction and does a great job getting almost everything up. It's easy to clean. The only thing that isn't so great, it the attachment clip. In time it will not hold the attachments very well, if at all.

I purchased this as a replacement after my old vacuum finally gave out. Looking at what was available and the prices for new units, I went with the Dirt Devil because it has the features I wanted at a great price. No bags to buy and HEPA filter with decent power make it a good choice if you are on a budget.

We have only been using this product about a month so cannot comment on it's reliability, but so far we like it. It vacuums bare floors and carpet well. You are not going to get an excellent vacuum for $50, but it is worth the money. If most of what you clean are bare floors I would recommend this. If you have a lot of carpet I would invest in something better. We've owned two other Dirt Devil products and they are worth the money, none of them have quit on us. It does have onboard attachments that come in handy.

I bought this one for only 10 bucks. No kidding. I won Overwhelming Offer at Mastercard Masterplace and was given 50 dollars credit at Best buy while spending 100 or more. So, eventually, this vacuum cleaner costed me nada. I use this vaccum only on carpet, and it works great so far. Picks up dirt and dust and even makes carpet pile to stand upright. The only complaint of mine is that it still a bit heavy for me. As long as it was advertised as feather-light I had more expectations.

This is my 2nd vaccum I have purchased. I like this vaccum very much. It is great to use. It is a lot quieter than my last one, a bissell. I absoutley love that fact that I can wash almost the whole vaccum, including all the filters, the container that collects the dirt and other little pieces. To be honest though its kind of gross after vaccuming, but it makes me want to clean my place more often. Its a good thing. The vaccum is easy to take apart & put back together. Oh, did I mention that the vaccum is extremely light weight compared to most vaccums. It has good suction also. The only thing I don't really like about it is the adapter; you use to clean the furniture. I don't like that part so much because when I am trying to clean my couch and get cat hair off of it, I have to go over it a couple of times to get it really clean. The little brushes inside that parts stops moving as fast as it is suppose to, which causes it not to pick up everything the first time. Don't get me wrong though, I really like my vaccum and would recommend it to anyone!

I've had this Vacuum for 6 months now with no issues. I have two cats and run the vacuum at least every other day mostly on wood floors with one carpeted room. Is it as powerful as a $400 Dyson, no. However, it does the job fine and I would highly recommended. Be sure to clean the filter after every couple of uses.

Works Great and the attachment brush rules

Anyone who buys a Dirt Devil and expects a 2 year lasting product is kidding themselves. That is why i opted to buy the 2 year warranty that was only like $10. This vaccum has very good power and picks up a lot of everything from hair to dirt to fine dust. I used it to vaccum my new carpet and it filled up on the 1st time and i find that impressive. I am really happy with the attachment power brush which is excellent for upholstry and stairs. Bagless tecnology makes a little dust mess when you have to empty it but that just means that it is picking up a lot of little dust particles from my floor and i am happy about that.

After reading the reviews on this vacuum I decided to give a try. Well, I could not be happier with my purchase. I live in a small NYC APT and have two area rugs and the machine works perfect for what i need it. If you have a fully carped apt or house kids and also pets, you should investe in something that would full-fill all of your needs. That machine is a bit heavy than i thought it would be, but it works wonders.

    Better than Dyson!

My daughter and son in law have a Dyson that they had purchased within the previous year. It kept malfunctioning, and their customer service department was ineffective. Since a new baby is on the way in their household, they are in their "nesting" stage. This was on sale, and they are growing weary of dealing with Dyson. I bought this as an "interim" vacuum for them, until they work things out with the other company. Wow! They love the Dirt Devil, and are actually thinking of getting rid of the Dyson! It picks up dog hair from their two boxers with ease, as well as the normal wear and tear from a two child, two dog family. Excellent buy!

This vacuum is just average. It has decent suction, a small hose that can easily get clogged, a nice idea with the folding handle, however it feels very weak. I wish I had spent a bit more on a sturdier vacuum cleaner. Too late for me to return it now.

    Great Light duty vacuum

It does well on the carpet as well as floor and I like the fold down feature of the handle. It tucks away nicely, it's easy to use and easy to clean. But when you push the button to dump the dirt, you are still going to have to use your hands or a stick to get it to fall out. Overall, if you need something to use for light duty cleaning, this is a good choice.

This vacuum is a great price for what it is and I guess would be great for a college student who doesn't actually clean; however, I like to use a vacuum and have it actually suck up the dirt on the floor. The suction on carpet is ok, but not great. I have a balcony at my apartment and so in the fall a few leaves blow in. The vacuum will not suck them up. It instead breaks them up into a million pieces and blows them around on the carpet. It does pick up dust and hair on the floor most of the time. Hard wood floors and tile are a completely different story. I have given up using the vacuum on them. I just use a broom; it is way more effective and a lot less trouble. I have a cat and when I try to vacuum up the litter, the vacuum just crumbles the litter and then blows the litter dust around the floor. It also does not pick up any food particles that have fallen to the floor. The features of this vacuum would be great if they actually worked. The idea of them is good but the idea does not have enough power behind the device for it to actually work. When the power brush is placed on the floor, if you put it too close to the ground it the brush stops rotating and suction stops. Overall this vacuum is not good for someone who really wants the dust and dirt out of their carpet and off of their floor.

This vacuume really sucks! LOL, just kidding. My Hoover just died after only a year, so I needed a cheap vac. This vacuume was affordable and actually is easier to use. The bagless canister pops apart really easily and it is easy to get all the parts back together.
