Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Mavic Pro Quadcopter's ease of use and impressive camera quality, frequently praising its size and stability. However, some users point to the price as a significant drawback, and others mention challenges with wind resistance and occasional software issues. While flight time is generally considered positive, concerns about the drone's sensor limitations and noise level have also been raised.

Best Drone out there, until next year

I've owned 5 different drones, going back to the original DJI Phantom. I spent over 3x as much on that to get a setup that could record decent video on my GoPro. The last drone I had was a Phantom 3 Pro. The Mavic is as good or better in every conceivable way. It's more stable, more nimble, and has comparable photo and video quality. The best part about it may be how small it folds up. I used to travel to shoots and would have to check an entire hard case on my flight for just my drone. Now it fits into my camera bag, taking about as much space as a 70-200mm lens. It's the best drone out there without spending 3x the money, at least until they release an even better one next year.

    Great flying camera

The Mavic is a great hd camera drone. It is easy to learn how to fly it, has a decent battery life, and a great camera. It does take some practice flying without GPS (indoors), which I learned the hard way by letting it drift into a wall. Good news is that only one propeller was cracked. Very durable. It would be nice if it came with a full set of replacement propellers, but the OEM propellers are only around $10/pair. I really like the portability of it the best. Other drones may have a better camera, but nothing can match the camera quality and portability. For what I intend to do with it, it is perfect.

My first Mavic was lost due to an unexpected gust of high wind...totally my fault. This purchase was the replacement. Photography is one of my key hobbies and I fly to get perspectives that I would not be able to otherwise achieve in a safe manner. Being able to also get some great video is a bonus. I have owned a Mavic for a year and have been very impressed by the performance of the drone. One of the keys is that there are multiple firmware updates and you need to check for them before you go out to fly...so you don't get caught trying to do updates in the field. One thing not well understand by most is the treatment of the batteries to have them last longer (in the DJI instructions which most of us don't read...also plenty of You-Tube videos on this topic). The small form factor makes it easy to carry even if you are not sure you are going to be shooting. I won't go into all the features since you can easily read about them or just watch one of the (literally) thousands of YouTube videos which do an excellent job of demonstrating the use and performance factors. One recommendation...if this is your first drone purchase you might want to get one that costs less (maybe around $500...there are a number of good ones at this price point or a little lower) so that if (most likely when!) you crash it your loss will be much less. Either way, start slowly and learn the basics of operation and create some muscle memory so that you spend less time looking at your hands and thinking about the next operation. Last and most importantly...FLY SAFE!

Nice and small, good video quality, easy to fly, crashed twice and still runs like a top. I would NOT buy this again however, not because there is anything wrong with it, but with the Mavic Pro Platinum available, the new blades that are quieter and a little more battery life because of it, I'd probably buy a Mavic Pro Platinum instead. If you see this in a bundle and it is cheaper, buy it, don't buy everything separately. You will appreciate having additional batteries and a multi charger!

I have had several toy quad-copters over the years and have wanted to get one with a quality camera that I can use to bring production value to videos and to get shots of the roof of the house to check solar system and other things. I don't think there is a better 4K camera drone for the money. It's easy to fly and and has so many advanced features that I haven't had time to test all of them. The images quality is broadcast ready. The flying time and range is amazing. I've tested at 1 mile so far. It's my favorite Christmas present. As with a device this advanced you should read all instructions and practice in simple situations with plenty of space. The latest firmware prevents flying in no fly zones, within a few miles of any airport and prisons, for safety and security reasons. This is slightly annoying since I live withing a few miles of a small airport and I can't take from home anymore. This is an excellent product.

This is the best drone on the market. It has great battery life and the camera is great! The best part is the portability. It is super tiny and so easy to carry. The controller is small too and it fits perfectly in your hand. I can’t get over how small the drone is. I knew it was small but seeing it in person and having it in hand is a totally different thing. It is the best drone on the market today!

Hey Faris. Sorry you are having a bad experience with the battery. Please contact support for troubleshooting. For an easy way to tell if you can get a connection between the aircraft and the remote press the binding button on the side/underside of the aircraft body, then on your remote press the C1, C2, shutter, and record at pretty much the same time. (Try different timings on the buttons if it's not working right away. Pressing the record button a little later seems to be the best method). DJISupport

This is my first quadcopter. I read many reviews before purchase. The Mavic kept cropping to the top of the list. That's because this has to the best portable professional quadcopter on the market today! It flies like a dream! No need to worry, it will simply hover with no flight inputs from the controller. The auto-take off and auto landing function is amazing! It lands in the exact same spot that you took off from after flying it around for 20 minutes! You need a smartphone to truly use all of the benefits this quad can offer. READ THE MANUAL before you fly. There are a lot of settings to adjust flight controls, camera, and the gimbal. It's not overwhelming though! Buy it with the extra batteries. You'll thank me later. Pro: Easy to fly, long flight range, very stable, 20 minute flight time, auto land, auto take off, return to home if signal lost or if you panic Con: Gimbal is sensitive but very stable during flight, doesn't work with some newer Android tablets, you can't take a photo while recording video. Must buy!

This is one of the best purchases I have made. This is a really fun drone that is easy to just pick up and learn to fly. Picture quality is amazing and the range is outstanding. Already taken it 2 miles away from me and it even has another mile that it can go. Awesome drone.

This is my first drone and I give props to dji for making an awesome product. Love the videos and photos it takes and the fact that it’s so compact is awesome. I have relatives that have the phantoms and have already gotten props from how stable it is and what it can do.

I had ordered this package mid January and received it 3 days later. This drone is SUPER compact. The bag it comes with is nice, but i will be using a hard case instead. The Drone, controller, and 3 batteries (Fly More comes with 3 batteries I have purchased an additional one) fit nicely into the bag and weight less then my previous drone (3DR Solo). Finally had a chance to fly is yesterday and today (2/1/17) and it is super stable and sturdy even in winds. Sport mode is great and the app is very informative when in flight. Battery Life i got was about 20-23 minutes a battery. Im assuming i will get less when keeping the drone in sport mode for the entire flight.

This is the first drone I have purchased. It is very easy to control and fly. The camera shows high quality videos as your are flying. Flight time is about 20-25 minutes and the range is not 4 miles as is advertised. It is a lot of fun to fly and make videos.

I love this thing. The reason I chose it vs. the Phantom or any other is due to its size and portability. Add that with a great camera and this thing is awesome. I know the camera of the Phantom is better but the trade off of size was huge for me. I looked in to the Spark as well, but the flight time, speed, distance, and camera were enough to make me make the jump to the Mavic Pro. This is my first real drone aside from your <$100 versions. This is much easier to fly than any cheap drone. That's what makes it fun too. It does all the hard work for you and just allows you to fly and enjoy.

DJI's Mavic Pro is the drone to own if you are a semi-pro videographer or serious enthusiast. It gives adequate battery life, although having 3 batteries is ideal along with a car charger to give you an hour plus of actual in-the-air usage. This unit is particularity easy to control and has the safety features you need in a drone. Image quality is decent, but do your research on YouTube to learn the best camera settings both for video and stills. And always shoot in RAW + JPEG if you want to do further editing and get the best image quality out of your stills. DJI does weird JPEG compression. The only other drawback is the controller phone mount tends to cover the home button on your smartphone making it cumbersome to operate the phone if the screen turns off while setting things up. I've used a Phantom 3 Advanced and the Mavic Pro is much more nimble and more stable in the wind. I would give this 5 stars if the controller phone mount was better designed and the camera offered Phantom 4 Pro image quality. Still, this camera is better than a Phantom 3 anything and just short of Phantom 4 quality.

After a ton of researching drones I picked the DJI-Mavic Pro Quadcopter. One major reason was it has a 4.8 out of 5 stars rating from over 1700 reviews. I love it! One of the best features is the range. The first time I flew my Mavic Pro I flew it over a mile out of my site. I couldn't see it or hear it. Awesome! I tested the return to home due to low battery power. I ran the battery low on purpose and it came straight home. It landed itself on the exact spot on my deck that I took off from. I slapped in another fully charged battery and was airborne again. I purchased the Fly More Combo package so I have 3 batteries. Can fly approx. 25 minutes per battery. Lots of air-time. Temps in Minnesota are below zero right now so I charged all my batteries and stored my Mavic until warmer weather. Can't wait to get back in the air taking awesome videos and still pics!

This product is simply amazing. The drone is so easy to fly and takes beautiful images. There are so many functions and features that I can't begin to mention all of them here but I will attempt to highlight a few... Size: Easily fits in backpack when folded up and is very lightweight. This drone will be going everywhere. Controller: Perfectly sized and easily integrates iPhone. Aircraft is very responsive and all controls are easily accessible. Camera: Crisp imaging and the gimbal stabilization is incredible. Battery: Very intelligent battery that charges in about an 1.5 hours for about 25 minutes of flight time. If not used for a while they will automatically deplete some charge to increase it's lifetime. The app will show you exactly how many mAh exist on a charge and how many cycles the battery has had. Software: DJI Go 4 App is feature rich and connects seamlessly with the controller. Options are easily manipulated and you can change between a variety of flight modes modes such as beginner, sport, cinematic, follow, waypoints, and more. Map overlay makes it easy to track the drone and there is an automatic return to home when battery levels are low. Owning something this awesome feels like it should be more expensive. Be sure to register with the FAA and fly with good judgement. This truly is an aircraft and can be dangerous if used improperly.

    Mavic Pro

I started out with the spark. It was an awesome drone. I decided to upgrade and tried the Mavic Air based on reviews and opinions first, was a lot like the spark and very unreliable signal from my experience. I returned the air and decided to get the pro and I love it. I can’t believe anyone would pick the air over the pro. The remote layout and screen is great the drone itself feels very robust and solid. When flying it handles the breeze and wind perfect, flight time is great and it’s quiet compared to spark and air. Flying in congested areas of interference is so much more reliable as well, ocusync makes a huge difference with the remote and picture quality on your display, definitely worth it over the air. I can’t say enough good things about it.

I got hooked into the drone industry this past Christmas season with my first purchase of the Propel Star Wars X-Wing, yes that is a toy but it got me addicted! I then bought the Propel Darth Vader TIE Fighter Advance1 and at that point I realized, I wanted to research the real deal drones with cameras. After extensive research of multiple websites, review articles and YouTube videos, I found most recommended DJI brand and especially the Mavic Pro for the standard in the industry, even over the GoPro Karma (which I decided between these two options). The Fly More combo is well worth the extra investment as it comes with 3 total batteries, which is nice to have for backup as you'll definitely need them during your flight/shoot. A case is also included to store the drone itself, the remote and the batteries. A multiple charger and car charger is also included for convenience! Go with the Fly More Combo over the basic package for sure. Flying is smooth and great. Calibration is simple and the DJI app is great. The battery lasts around 25 minutes and the 30% low battery alert makes you really wanna bring it in to 1) not have to listen to the constant beeping, and 2) to ensure your drone doesn't get lost. The camera quality is simply amazing! 4K video is supported! I haven't had ANY issues with the video being out of focus, and the focus button on the remote would fix that anyway. There are a ton of features that are cool like follow me mode, tripod mode, activetrack, etc. The front sensors avoids obstacles fairly well, but not tree branches, and there are no back or side sensors, so you'll wanna be extra careful. Obviously most mistakes are made my common sense issues and user error. I am thrilled with this purchase and wish I could fly it at places you're legally not allowed (national parks), but it's great for "drone specific parks" and open areas.
