I had been waiting on a quality drone, that didn't cost and arm and a leg, that also had some decent flight time. The Spark meets all those criteria and more. While I would love to have the Mavic Pro, I just couldn't justify the price for what I wanted to use it for, mainly some quick flight jaunts to maybe get some interesting footage or shots while out and about. The Spark is insanely easy to set up and just as easy to fly. Though, to be fair, the hand gesture thing is a bit more of a gimmick than an actual flight model. It works well for taking selfies and wowing people but for maximum flight ability you of course need to use the remote. After downloading the app onto my iPhone 7+, I updated the firmware, and was flying within minutes. That being said, I would HIGHLY recommend buying an OTG (On The Go) cable and hardwiring it to your controller rather than just relying on the wi-fi set-up. Since I have done that, there has not been a single dropped frame or any control issues. You can find one online or in stores for less than $4 usually and you already have the cable for your phone, though I also bought a short Lightning cable to keep things from tangling up. Video and photo quality is stellar and it is incredibly easy to set up some neat shots. It also has a ton of safety features to keep you from doing something stupid with it and harming you, a loved one, or the drone. My only quibble with it so far is that I guess I'm within the flight path of the local airfield and it limits some of my maneuvering window, but that is easily solved by taking it elsewhere to fly. This drone is heavy enough to warrant FAA registration but that was done in 5 minutes and only cost $5. If you aren't planning on doing serious photo/videography with your drone and don't need super long flight times to get where you want to shoot, this is the drone for you. A lot of fun and really easy to use.

Its a good drone for the price and starters. Easy to use. Good camera. Love the photos and videos I captured. They are built tough. Connection isnt the best sometimes so be careful where you fly it. Super easy to figure out how to fly. The most fun I've had in ages, & has about 95% of the Mavic's Pro's abilities. Only difference is flight time & distance ( about1/2 ) and doesn't have 4K video, even though it has the same camera. For the price I recommend it for your 1st Drone, what a blast.

The Spark is easy to set up and to fly. It is small and unobtrusive so less likely to bother anyone that sees you flying. The video and still photo quality is great and the app to control it is very clean and easy to use.

Great camera and features. Very small, light and easy to fit in your backpack. Easy for beginners.

It takes some getting used to of course and where I live has two major airports nearby with flight restrictions (Dulles & National) which makes flying a challenge sometimes, but the technology is amazing and it's very easy to learn. Photo and video quality is top notch too. Highly recommend.

Great drone for starting out excellent quality pictures and video, and fun to fly DJI makes the best drones on the market! I’m definitely pleased with the spark, but you will want to buy and have at least 3 batteries. I already purchased the Mavik zoom 2

Definitely get the Fly More package. Without it, I’d be driven mad! The battery life is decent at 12-15 minutes but I enjoy continuing to zip around (max speed ~30 mph) once I have my recordings done. Controls were easy to pick up, you can set a beginner’s mode to restrict how for and how high your drone can go until you turn the mode off. You can fly this drone with just your phone but having the control makes everything much easier/more smooth. Once I figured out how to set it up to my phone (YouTube/Google was my friend during this part) I was up in no time. The carrying bag is also very handy, holds both batteries, the drone, and it’s cobtroller.

So incredibly easy to operate, smart drone with awesome video camera. Joy and excitement every time i hear the props “whir”.

I initially bought a DJI phantom 3 which was phenominal. But I found it tobe very big and bulky and replaced it with dji spark. Having already used it for 8 months at various locations I feel good about my decision. I just wish the battery could have charged faster and it had 4k reaolution. Everything else is perfect for people like me who are amature photographer and occasional traveler. Make sure you buy the fly more combo. During thanksgiving the fly more combo sells at around 460$.

This is not a ordinary Toy it is a cool Drone to fly. It is really easy to fly and learn some drone flying experience before to get hands on expensive drones. I loved flying my drones still learning hand gesture. I loved sport mode very responsive to remote controller and had a-lot of fun. Please check the surrounding before turning sport mode because its front detection collision is turnoff. Camera quality they mention it HD. so didn't expect more.

Great little drone. If your looking for a starter drone. If you don't want to break the bank but still want great photos and video this little guy will do the job.

It is a great drone for anyone who is computer savvy and willing to learn to start out with. The employee who helped me was very helpful.

This drone is good if you’re just using it for fun. If you are a videographer or filmmaker, go with the Mavic Air. The spark did not match my dslr camera quality. The 4K video is needed from the Mavic Air.

It does everything I would expect it to do. It's lots of fun to fly. Awesome fail safe features, so your chance of losing it are very slim. I did crash it once but that was my fault for ignoring the low battery alert. BTW - I bought the drone plain white but skinned it just recently.
