Strong fan for such a small footprint

The reviews are spot on, this fan is very strong even on its lower settings. Perfect to get the air circulating in a room with very little noise. The higher modes 6-8 and Turbo are audibly noticeable but truthfully putting this fan on 4 or 5 pushes so much air that you will most likely be sitting on these speeds. Granted the higher speed noise isn't terrible and is still much quieter than a box fan on high setting. I recommend this fan for bedrooms while watching TV or gaming as its really impressive how strong this fan is. For those like me who use fans at night you wont have to worry about the lights as they automatically turn off within about 40ish seconds. Lots of fans in this category forget their lights are intrusively bright but not Dero! Another really underthought thing that Dreo gets right is the ability to remove the front blade guard for cleaning. They even show off cleaning this part in the sink by washing it off. A small screwdriver is included for this in the box. Take the small screw out and twist the grill to the open position and it pops out giving you access to take the blade off and clean the back of the fan from the inside. Something I have not seen before is a automated position reset in a fan of this price point. When you power the device off it will re-calibrate its position and bring everything back to its forward position for both vertical and horizontal movement. You can still adjust the fan manually but turning it off does reset any manual positioning you have so keep that in mind as turning the unit back on doesn't put it where you last positioned it. Looks wise its a plastic body with a metal core stand that rises another 3/4 of what's shown in the photo so those with tall beds would need to fully extend the fan. The leather looking band that holds the top in is plastic, but it isn't tacky it actually looks nice and gives the fan a sleeker and more modern look vs the traditional black, gray, or white fans. The gray has a glittery sheen to it all over, so it catches in the light like a pearl paintjob on a car. The cord isn't permanently attached to the fan either, so those with animals who you might fear would chew on the cables it looks like this could be replaced easily if that were to ever happen. The thin cord and wall wort does mean you are going to see a larger footprint on the wall but personally the looks of the fan do distract the wall wort situation. The lights have a retro feel to them being that classic orange you remember seeing as a kid or young adult with your VCR or Cassette players. Its really cool and because of the hue its not intrusively bright when its on its bright enough to read clearly but not so bright it makes your eyes strain like how blue lights on appliances sometimes get for us glasses wearers. This is the smart version of the fan, but you do not need to setup the smart features to use it! There are other versions of this fan that exclude the smart features, but I feel it's one of the big benefits for those who like home automation. Using the app is ok, its really simple but yet another place you give your email to which kind of sucks but hey get this connected to Alexa or Google and you're in for a nice world of automation. Or you can use the app to setup schedules or set this to run depending on the temperature in the room. Its horizontal and vertical oscillation is also programable in app and with your smart home assistant of choice. You can program things manually with the included remote or you can use the touch interface atop the fan. Your first interaction with the touch controls on the top of the fan or using the remote when the screen is off doesn't register anything as you are waking the device up essentially. This means you will have to re-tap or click whatever function you wanted again. However, if you use the app or your preferred assistant the action is nearly instant. It wakes the screen up but that will shortly turn off. I am beyond impressed with this fan's amazing capability to literally blow the competition away. Consider getting this fan if you deal with stale are in a room or are a warm sleeper or just want something to cool you off this summer. Its worth the investment.

I'm a huge fan nut. I run them all the time, and also have tried and still own many other brand name fans, from high to low. This fan is absolutely unspeakable! Omni directional, and just the way it blows air at you is something to behold. I'm certainly impressed, and I'm gonna buy another one as soon as I can. This product speaks for itself. I get excited to come home and turn it on, and it really makes you chilly. I don't know how they did it, but they did it.

Buy it. You know the feeling when you splurge on something and it exceeds your expectations in build quality, appearance, and function, and you immediately cant live without it? Not many consumer products are exciting like that. Especially not fans. But this fan is exactly like that. Its AMAZING. I know $139 isnt crazy, but its a pedestal fan, which is a $29 item. So by comparison its crazy. It has a way smaller footprint than a typical pedestal fan, and it has a techy aesthetic, so it looks almost fancy compared to an ugly utilitarian plain old house fan. I plugged that thang in to the wall, scanned the qr code to activate the warranty, and started controlling it with the remote instantly. Its great to be able to change the speed and direction of the fan via remote. However, if you dont connect it to wi-fi youre missing out. The app is even easier to use and you can set it to memorize different oscillation patterns and a sleep timer, etc. the remote is simple but its much easier to access all the features with the app. As far as performance, it instantly cools my the room off and it is too much for me at even level 6 or 7 - “turbo” is level 14 in case you want to scare the dog, or something? I absolutely love it. I was previously using a holmes pedestal fan that was much bigger and louder and i couldnt even feel it at 50%. The only question mark is durability/longevity, im hoping for the best as it will get constant use.

Incredibly fast. Oscillating works really well, it can point straight up at the ceiling if you want it too. I also love the design of it. Wasnt the biggest fan that it needs to connect to wifi, but everything needs to connect to wifi so I guess it doesnt matterbtoo much. All in all, great fan.

We struggle with climate control in our house quite a bit. The back room of our house gets a lot warmer while the front room is cooler. And when the back room is cooler, the front room is warmer. It’s a constant battle and I’ve been looking for a fan like this to help control the temperature in my office (the front of the house)since it’s where I spend a lot of my time. This Dreo fan has a lot of things going for it. First, it’s very affordable. Even though you can get a decent oscillating pedestal fan for a lower price, this one is remote controlled AND has a companion app. The app has its limitations, but it does allow me to do the basic controls from my phone. For those added benefits, I am willing to invest more into a fan of this caliber. Plus, this fan doesn’t just oscillate side to side — it moves up and down, too. This makes a big difference in air flow. Second, this fan is very powerful. Once I got it set up, the default power was 5. I turned it down to 1 and was still able to feel the cool breeze coming from it while I sat at my desk — approximately 10 feet away from the fan. I was impressed with the amount of air this fan can move in a room. It really did help to keep my office from feeling stuffy and stagnant. Third, the Dreo fan is very quiet. This was a surprise to me considering how powerful it is. Could I hear the air pushed from the unit? Yes, but there wasn’t an annoying motor noise coming from it. Because this fan is so quiet it is ideal for workspaces because it doesn’t distract you or cause an inordinate amount of ambient noise. The fan is very easy to assemble. I only had to attach the stand to the base and tighten one bolt in the bottom. I will say that the place where the power cable is inserted is a bit strange. It’s about halfway up the stand and I would have rather seen it be toward the bottom of the stand so that you could hide it better. In addition to that, the fan head is large. So, you need to plan for that when you are deciding where it is going to live. All in all, this Dreo smart fan is a great option for living or work spaces. It’s affordable and really does make a difference in how an environment feels.

Near Perfect Fan w/ One Annoying Downside

I really, really like this fan and would recommend it to most people, but that impression started off a bit rough. From the moment I opened the box, the fan looked great, but it smelled terrible. The issue was in the base, it smelled strongly of cigarettes, but I assume this smell was actually due the specific plastic or weighted filler used in the base. I cleaned it with a damp rag and removed some yellow residue had been there (yikes!,) but the smell remained in the plastic. Not a great start, but luckily, after airing out the base in the garage for 3+ days, the perception of smell has gone away. While that’s what I wanted to have happen, I still don’t love own products with materials that off-gas to this extent. That’s a shame, because this fan is near-perfect otherwise. It’s quiet, powerful, and has a full range of motion. The subtle sparkle in the plastic elevates the appearance a bit and even helps to prevent the shiny surfaces from showing scuffs. It’s a great size and fits in well with our decor. (I appreciate that it’s not white, for one). The included remote looks nice. Clean modern design, though its oscillating directions each have a button serving double-duty for both turning on general sweeping back and forth, and setting a directional position. You’ll need to wait for the fan to reach the position you want on its own, then press the button again to stop it where you’d like. I found it to be a bit finicky, with the remote needing to be aimed directly at its receiver to register that stopping request, but it’s fine. I just would have preferred directional arrows, as that would been more user friendly. What’s nice is that those directional arrows are present in the Dreo App. It’s a cleanly designed app that was easy to setup and provides responsive controls for fan speed, direction, modes, and even a 'natural' function that attempts to mimic the irregular air movements of natural breezes. But more on the design. I really like it. Unlike the ‘compounding’ or ‘blade-less’ designs that have been popular for a while, this is more of a traditional, cylindrical fan with a visible fan inside. It works great and seems to be more capable/powerful as a result. It also allows it to be much more versatile in directing airflow than others - you can aim the fan straight up if you’d like, for instance. As I mentioned above, the grey plastic looks nice with a subtle metallic sparkle in it and the tan faux-leather at the bracket adds some contrast that gives it a more upscale appearance overall. Traditional fans can also be quite noisy, but not this one. Even at the top of its 8 speeds (+ Turbo), it’s very quiet, with only the movement of air contributing to any noise. No squeaking or shaking - It’s great! Overall, It’s pretty much everything that I’d want in a fan - it’s more powerful than most other fans I’ve seen, it’s quiet, nicely built, attractive and versatile. Even the app is nicely designed. But, due to that initial smell, I’d still dock it a star in my book. I hope Dreo can address this in future models, but even so, this is a great product that I was happy to discover. __ Good Stuff: - Very powerful - Super versatile (can even aim the airflow straight up if you’d like) - Attractive Design - Quiet - Nice App with directional controls - Easy to pair/ setup Less than Good Stuff: - Initial off-gassing or smell of the base was excessive. - Unlike App, remote lacks directional controls for aiming air, can only start/stop oscillation to set its position.

This fan is extremely impressive. The design is fantastic and it is feature packed as well as very easy to use. Features: Quiet Performance: Contains a brushless DC motor producing noise levels as low as 25 dB, making it a great choice for bedrooms. Multiple fan modes: Choose from 6 different modes (Auto, Turbo, Normal, Natural, Sleep, and Custom). 8 fan speeds: Adjust the fan speed from level 1 (lowest) to level 8 (highest). Powerful airflow: Up to 882 CFM (cubic feet per minute) of air can reach up to 100 feet. Omnidirectional oscillation: The fan oscillates 120° horizontally and 105° vertically Adjustable height: The pedestal can be adjusted to customize the fan height. 12-hour timer: Set the timer to turn the fan on or off automatically. Digital control panel and remote control: Control all of the fan's features from the control panel on the fan itself or from the included remote control. Wi-Fi/Smart App Connectivity: Connect the fan to your home Wi-Fi and pair with the smartphone app for maximum customization and remote access capability. You can also link it to Alexa or Google Home. Setup was quick and easy. After unboxing, with easy to follow instructions included and a single bolt assembly to the base, the fan was up and running in no time. I immediately downloaded the app, connected to my Wi-Fi, and paired the unit to the app with no issues at all. The fan has an adjustable height capability which allows me to strategically place the fan in my bedroom and provide the perfect amount of air flow and circulation for the room. The omnidirectional oscillation of the fan is a fantastic feature and really allows for the most unique air flow throughout the room. You can control this fan 3 different ways, your phone or tablet via the smart app, the included remote control, or from the top of the unit. I prefer the app as I feel you get more customization features and the interface is just very simple to use and understand. I love the sleek modern look of this fan. It goes perfectly with the decor of my bedroom and is very non-intrusive. I don't mind leaving it out because it does not impact the room negatively from an aesthetic perspective and just blends in. I use this fan everyday and I really enjoy it. I think it's an excellent addition to my bedroom and provides plenty of airflow. It's a very well built, high quality product that I highly recommend if you are in the market for a pedestal fan. The smart app and features of this fan definitely separate this product from your average pedestal fan.

This thing is an air mover, or air circulator as it default gave a name in the Dreo app. I have never seen a fan move like this one. With up to 105 degrees up and down and up to 120 degrees left and right, this fan pushes air everywhere. At mid to low speeds you can barely hear it, but it is still giving a decent breeze. Put this thing into turbo mode and you might just create a vortex in the room. You can control it with the touch sensitive buttons on top, the included infrared remote, the Dreo app or with Alexa or Google voice commands once you have it connected to Wi-Fi. The touch controls and remote cycle through settings, but with the app you can really get into it. You can adjust the vertical and horizontal rotations with different steps, you can even control the fan with a directional pad so you can position it from anywhere you open the app. You can have it work with the temperature to use certain speeds during specific temp ranges or set it to run specific speeds during time blocks of the day. One thing for sure though, this fan has really helped keep the temperature in my open main room pretty stable, getting rid of some of those warm spots. It does have an adjustable height stand, but it doesn’t really adjust by much, just a few inches. The base is decently weighted, so there is not much worry of it tipping itself over. There are other wind modes as well, like a natural setting that makes it act more like a breeze. You can also cycle the timer to turn off from 1-8 hours, or by the minute through the app. Overall, this fan is amazing. It helps me sleep by keeping me cool and stable and then when I don’t need a stable breeze on me, but want to keep the whole room circulated, just turn everything on and there is no stagnant air in the room.

My wife doesn’t like fans, and this really isn’t one! It’s marketed as an air circulator, which takes “fans” to a much higher level. She doesn’t like their noise or the blowing air, even if it’s set to oscillate, and would rather just turn down the AC! I like fans. They are better for the environment versus AC and can work with your AC or heating to save energy. I had this fan set up and on in our living room for 4 days before she even noticed it. It has a very small footprint but creates an air stream equal to a fan many times larger. The fan can be controlled directly through a touch interface and includes a remote control but also pairs with a phone app for even more functionality. The fan has a max state airflow of 883 CFM moving up to 100 feet. The stated maximum noise level is 25 - 51 dB depending on the fan speed which at the max is considered to be in the “quiet” range. The fan can adjust 0 - 120 degrees horizontally and 0 to 105 degrees vertically, and you can set it to oscillate in either or both directions. The modes include “Normal” where the fan runs at a set speed which you set along with whether or not you want it to oscillate, “Auto” where the speed varies based on the temperature, “Sleep” where the speed decreases every 30 minutes until it hits the minimum you set, “Natural” where the speed of the circulator varies to mimic a natural wind, “Turbo” which is preset for maximum speed and “Custom” where you can set up to 6 settings based on the temperature or the time of day. Since this is a “smart” circulator, you can also pair it with a “Smart” thermostat so it turns off or on with your heating or air conditioning. The unit will also pair with Google Home or Alexa for voice control.

Despite its small size, this fan delivers a powerful stream of air that can travel any distance in our master bedroom which is very big, and even in our living room, and it does that while operating at whisper-quiet noise levels which ensures a comfortable breeze without disruptive noise. Smart devices are the name of the game for me due to their ultimate convenience. That was one of the main reasons I got this fan. Besides the included remote, you can control it with an intuitive app, or even your voice through compatible smart assistants such as Amazon Alexa, which is what I prefer to use. With 6 wind modes (from gentle to turbo) and 8 adjustable speeds, you can tailor the airflow to your exact comfort level. I know I’m starting to sound like a salesman here, but I really like this fan. Of course, it is not all perfect. It only operates on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks, not 5 GHz. While it is good because even very old routers (“modems”) can support 2.4Ghz, if you have a network configured for only 5Ghz, you might have to enable the older spectrum as well. Most routers are configured for both. Overall, the Dreo Smart Pedestal Fan offers an impressive combination of power, quiet operation, smart features, and a stylish, sleek, minimalist design that seamlessly complements my modern bedroom décor and living room. Its brushed nickel finish and slim profile added a touch of sophistication without overwhelming the space. I simply love it!

I have owned a lot of fans, especially bigger ones as I love the cooler air more than the warm air. Summer time is about to be here and I needed something powerful. When I first saw this fan by Dreo, I was skeptical as it has a very small size. I have owned similar ones of equal size and I wasn't impressed. But this one is definitely an exception. It moves air like crazy and it's so quiet, even on the turbo setting. My home has only one air conditioner so it's hard to cook my place to my liking in the hotter months but this Dreo fan has changed the game for me. My whole place is equally cool and I am beyond happy. I love the app. It makes it so easy to adjust the speed and angles or modes without having to get up and physically do it. This thing has so many different configurations. It's quite crazy, in a good way. Lol. I like that I can customize settings to my own liking. It has really been great. The design is pretty cool. I really love the color and the leather like accents are neat. It feels like a luxury fan. So fancy lol. Great great great product.

PRODUCT Dreo - Pedestal Fan with Remote, 120° + 105°Smart Oscillating REVIEW Overall I like the Dreo Fan. It is well weighted with no wobble and can be very quiet. Even at full speed, it is not too loud. This is not your old school department store. The base is very heavy to add stability. The air flow is very powerful. It is very stylish and can be angled just about any way you want. I like that it has controls on the body, as well as a remote, as well as an app. So all the basis are covered however you want to interact with it. I have a few small negatives. It is pretty short, even when extended. It can't for example clear my window to push warm air out in a straight path. I have to angle it out and hope the air it making it out the window. When first opened it unit smells like stale cigarettes. The remote control response is a little sluggish, so that you end up pressing buttons too many times. Overall it is a welcome addition, my small home office faces east, and I get tons of sun. With all my computers and monitors, I can easily push 90 degrees, so I need a good way to push out the hot air. RECOMMENDATION I recommend the DREO for anyone needed high volume output, high quality, and a stylish looking fan.

Fans are all the same, right? WRONG! Smart fans have become a new thing, and there are a lot of remote control/app controller fans on the market, and while I may not be the absolute expert on fans, sometimes you just recognize what good is. This Dreo Smart Pedestal Air Circulator Fan is amazing! First of all, setup was super easy. It came with all the necessary tools, screw one screw and you’re good. The fan definitely had a modern look to it, which I love. Yes, it still has blades and the design of the fan area itself is classic, but the base and the shimmer around the fan gives it more of a modern feel. Once it’s set up, you could just cut the fan on, and the buttons are all there on the head, you’re good. It even has a remote. It blows across a master bedroom with ease. Ok…cool…or…you can download the app, set everything up and then control everything from your phone as well. I love this! I need my room to be as cold as possible to go to sleep…but I need my room to not be freezing cold when it’s time to wake up…or…I want to stay sleep. Program the fan, problem solved. I can set it up to blow like one of the strongest fans I’ve ever had when it’s time to go to sleep, and to blow like the fan I should have for rid of a long time ago when I need to wake up and need the room to not be so cold. That in itself would be cool…add in the overall power of the fan tho? It’s A1. I’d strongly recommend the Dreo Smart Pedestal Air Circulator fan to anyone in the market. It’s a no-brainer purchase.

    Possibly the Best Oscillating Fan

I've been using tower fans exclusively around my apartment for the past few years since they don't take up much space. But the downside is that tower fans have a limited range of oscillation and sit fairly low to the ground, resulting in poor air movement in the room. Before this summer started, I wanted to find a more traditional pedestal fan that would provide better air movement. But I could not find one that was as compact as a tower fan and also had modern features like an app and Wi-Fi connectivity. Enter the Dreo PolyFan 613S - a brand I had never thought to consider of until I saw this model on Best Buy's website. The PolyFan is exactly what I wanted - it's small, lightweight, has Wi-Fi connectivity, and has possibly the best range of oscillation I've ever seen in a fan. ===PROS=== - To set up the fan, all you need to do is turn it over and screw in the base using the included wrench. Then, you can adjust the height as needed using the knob at the bottom. Plug it into a power outlet, and you're done. The height of the fan can be adjusted from 38 inches to 43.5 inches so it can easily adapt to rooms of all sizes. - The build quality of the fan is excellent - the base is very sturdy and the gray color has a very nice metallic shine to it. - In addition to an included remote, the fan has touch controls on the top to easily adjust fan speed and oscillation. - There are 8 different fan speeds as well as a "turbo" mode for maximum performance and circulation. And trust me - this is a very powerful fan for its size. Even at lower speeds, the fan does an excellent job at circulating air throughout the room. I usually keep the fan at a speed of 4 or 5, which provides a perfect amount of air movement for me. On really hot days or in extra large rooms, the "turbo" mode will create air movement even at a long distance from the fan. - The fan is quieter than any tower fan I've owned, likely thanks to its brushless motor and excellent blade design. I have the fan in my bedroom and sleep with it on speed mode 4 all night, and it's barely noticeable. It sounds like a gentle ocean breeze - and there are no high-pitched hissing noises like from some tower fans. You can also enable the fan's "sleep" which Dreo claims will keep noise as low as 25dB. - Of course, the best feature of this fan is its incredible oscillation. It can oscillate 105° vertically (up and down) as well as 120° horizontally (left to right). So, even if the fan is not pointed directly at you, the air in the room is still circulating very effectively. Using the fan controls or the app, you can select varying levels of oscillation to target as narrow or as wide of an area as you need. Vertical oscillation can go as low as 45°, which horizontal can be set down to 30°. And of course, you can turn off oscillation entirely if you so choose. Simply put, I've never seen a fan with this much control over oscillation. Nor have I ever used a fan that is this effective in circulating air. - The Dreo app is also incredibly easy to use and set up. The app will give you the most possible control over the fan's settings, even allowing you to set the fan's speed level depending on the ambient temperature of the room. When you turn off oscillation, you can even use the app's controls to manually point the fan exactly where you want it to blow. It's very impressive. ===CONS=== - I'm glad that Dreo included a remote control with the fan, but from what I can tell, there is nowhere on the fan itself to store or tuck away the remote when it's not in use. As such, you'll need to keep track of the remote and try not to lose it. I might try to use some Velcro or magnet strips to attach the remote to the fan so I don't lose it. - The power cord can be detached from the fan, which is nice. But the power adapter itself is quite bukly (it's not just a simple power cord - it's a black rectangular power adapter that you plug into the wall). So it might take up extra space on your surge protector or cover the adjacent power outlet on your wall. ===OVERALL=== Forget the overpriced tower fans - the Dreo PolyFan 613S is one of the best fans I've ever owned with its excellent design, incredible airflow, quiet performance, and unmatched oscillation. If you're willing to spend some time in the Dreo app, you'll unlock even more power and flexibility from the fan. There are fans from premium brands at twice the price that can't do nearly as much as the Dreo PolyFan. Highly recommended!
