I can't tell if the "Protected" light is actually lit, or if it's just glowing a tiny bit because it's right next to the amber "Grounded" light that is brightly lit. Dynex & other owners: Can you confirm if this is how it's supposed to look when it's "Protected"? Is the "Protected" light just naturally dimmer, or should it be just as bright as the "Grounded" light? I want to make sure it's functioning... I have plenty of power strips in my home, but I bought this one specifically to protect my brand new computer from a power surge, so that's the most important feature to me. I'll include a picture so you can see what I'm talking about. (The green light is actually glowing even fainter than this in life, it appears brighter in the picture.)

This surge protector is a good value. I really like that the plug sits flat to the wall. This allows you to push your furniture closer to the wall than with other,more traditional plugs.

This surge protector is great for sitting by computer and allowing me to connect my pc, printer and any other device needed. Great price too!

Why pay more for a higher end brand name when you have a simple goal. As long as you are not looking for any special features, this will get the job done.

My previous surge protector quit working and I needed a new one. This one works great.

I find this surge protector very useful, which provide the feasibility of 6 more outlet, very good product for price. Only problem I think is a cable length.

Nice and compact. Does not take up too much space. I use it for a power strip on a music amplifier rig and having surge protection is a good benifit.

Color matches. Lay flat wall plug allows it to go behind furniture and in small spaces. Price was good. Easy to turn on or off.

Quality item at a low price. Compact enough to fit in the TV cabinet. Flat plug allows cabinet to be placed close to wall.

I needed some additional outlets for my computer, monitor, external blu ray drive, and three external hard drives. That is six outlets that I needed...so it matched my needs. I will be in trouble when I need to add another hard drive but not too worried because the surge protector is relatively inexpensive. Maybe the only real downside is that the outlets are "close" to each other so if you have an oblong/wart plug it may block the outlet next to it.

what a great surprise to buy this item on sale and paid only $2 and change for it but what a great surge protector this is. I have a blue ray DVD player, clock radio, directv box and I still have plenty of outlets left for whatever else I need power for or need to recharge. no reason to go with a fancy, expensive surge protector, dynex makes good products built to last and are great quality products as well.
