Very nice looking and well running machine, has 10 settings for fan speed, and you are able to toggle on the humidification. Takes 3 minutes for the UV warm up and kill the bacteria in the water, but that doesn't take away how well it works. Design is less complex than would be guessed and it is easier to clean than anticipated. It does let you set your room to desired humidity and does a good job. Only thing to emphasize is that it is a cool mist humidifier, and when you are not humidifying the air, then you have a cooling fan, there is no heating.

I first thought who would pay almost $500 for a humidifier when you can buy them for $50! I've owned many inexpensive ones over the years and hated every one and threw them our after a season or two when the filter etc. got nasty. The Dyson is a breed apart and delivers nice fresh humidity with very little noise, pretty much as advertised. I use filtered water in the unit and after 2 months see no evidence of a need to clean the tank or anything. The only flaw, and it's not insignificant, is that reinstalling the top piece (they call it the loop) after filling the water tank can be a real challenge. Especially when you have to do it daily, every time you fill the tank. The loop is supposed to easily snap in to the water tank, but instead you have to push it down fairly hard and sort of twist and rock it until it snaps in. This becomes a learned skill, but there were times I didn't think it would snap in place. Anyway I still like the way it performs but I think Dyson will need to address this to meet the otherwise high standards of this dehumidifier

I live in an older house and when the heat runs a lot it gets super dry. I have tried otjer humidifiers, the tower evaporative kind, too. This beats them all. IT WORKS. It is quiet and the cleaning really isn't very hard. You can set it on auto and it decides what is "comfortable" for the room. You can adjust humidity and fan level manually too (all adjustments made from remote) It is super because the fan sends the moisturizer across the room. Yes this does create a bit of a cool breeze but to make my sinuses amd skin happy I really don't mind. No static electricity on the bed any more either!. You can buy the citric acid on Amazon for cleaning. Just look on You Tube - there's a video. It hardly gurgles at all after the first few hours. The on/off button has a blue lihjt that is a bit bright bit I put a bandaid over it which dims it but you can still see it. I have been using it almost 1 month and have cleaned it once and I LOVE it!!

Everyone in the household was sick with bronchitis and sore throats. The air was very dry in our house. I love how you can input different percentages for the humidity. A nice feature is you can convert to fan only without humidity as well. Also, the water goes thru a uv light that helps clean the air you breathe which is a plus. A remote control that comes with it is handy as well.

Works great. Like that it also acts like a fan too. We use it for background noise. The only thing is that it seems to run out of water sooner than they advertise. Once the water runs out, the fan shuts off too. I wish the fan kept running.

Product is fine, but information given by salesman incorrect.. The salesman tlold me that you had to fill the humidifier every three days. Wrong! The water capacity is for approximately ten hours! Also, there is quite a bit of maintenance required with this unit. If I knew this beforehand, I do not think I would have purchased this product.

I love this humidifier. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I wish the tank was a bit bigger. Other than that, it works well, is so quiet and has a built in system that purifies the water. It also doubles as a fan if you turn the humidifier feature off, which is a huge bonus!

I have been using it for a month and not once have I had to deal with the slimy gunk that would grow in the water of other humidifiers I have tried. It is very nice to be able to adjust the level of humidity and the fan does a good job of dispersing it. Also works as a fan so I don't have to store it in the summer

Perfectly designed and does what it is supposed to flawlessly. You can't beat anything made by Dyson and if you want a humidifier, this is the one to buy. Don't waste your money on anything else. I had two previous humidifiers and they would start to smell stale after a few weeks, I had to change filters weekly to the tune of $10 per filter and the humidifiers themselves would only last about two years. This one is built to last and requires no filters and the water cleaning system is just great. Just leave it in auto mode the machine does the rest. I just love it,

The Dyson humidifier is great for any bedroom or room that need some extra cool mist during the dry winter months. However I have discovered using tap filtered water can leave a white film around the ring of the Dyson. I have switched to using distilled water and no longer have that issue however I wish the water tank was larger so I didn't have to fill it as often.

One would think when you purchase a $500 humidifier and it arrives out of the box broken that a FULL replacement would be sent to you immediately, maybe even next door air? Nope. This was a gift that I recieved before Christmas and the tank arrived broken. I have been waiting since then for a new water tank. Sort of ridiculous considering how expensive the Dyson items are. I am very disappointed in how they handle these types of issues. I have had other Dyson products with warranty issues as well and it is not handled well. Love their products but if anything goes wrong it is a huge pain to deal with the warranty and replacement parts. You are better off buying something less expensive that may work through the warranty and replacing it, than dealing with Dyson if things break.

I really like the Dyson Humidifier. The look is awesome. The unit is expensive but it is worth it in the end as you don't have to buy any filters. When powered on it takes a couple of minutes for the unit to start as it is killing any bacteria in the water through a ultraviolet light it uses. My only complaint is the water tank is not that big. I have to put water in it every night before I go to bed. We only use it at night also. It probably runs for about 8 or 9 hours and the tank is almost empty when we get up in the morning. Other than that I love it.

Great option for open floor plan first floor or large bedroom for dry winters. Obviously more expensive than whole house humidifier but we didn’t want to risk the increase of mold with the whole house so we went with the Dyson. Big difference over other humidifiers is that it is quiet, can reach across the room, and the cleanse feature to remove bacteria. We have smaller humidifiers for bedrooms that cost $20 but need to be cleaned all the time. Dropped a star because of cost. We did get on sale but still pricey.

I love Dyson products. I have a fan,and a vacuum. I waited a year for this to be in the USA market. It is very quiet, Easy to fill, and take care of.It has a remote control. The most important feature to me is that the mist is 99.9 percent bacteria free.

Purchased as a gift for Hubby, but kids are using more! The cool mist blows out the purest and cleanest air, and it's very quiet. Very easy to refill, and it takes almost a week before needing refill, versus other humidifiers we've purchased. Very expensive, but worth every penny if you want a high-quality humidifier!

I am totally satisfied with this product although I had to return the first one. Now that I have the second, it is great. Here was the problem. After a month, you are supposed to do maintenance that requires you to move a plastic switch past a minor plastic obstacle (I am sure it has a fancy name) to unlock something. Well, I could not get past the plastic thing that blocked movement. Called Dyson. They kept telling me to push harder. I tried. I asked if I could use a plyers. They said no, it would void the warranty. I asked if I could chip off the plastic piece stopping the other plastic piece from moving to the unlock position. They said no. So they told me to ship the entire unit back to them which I did, and they shipped me a replacement. No cost to me. First thing I did with the new one was to make sure the little plastic piece could move through to unlock. It could. No idea what was the problem. Very friendly customer service at Dyson. All they needed to do was ship me one piece but I got a whole unit.

This humidifier is AMAZING, it's a little pricey but with Dyson, it will be one reliable product, very cool to have and it will make sure that it will work with the tap water as it has its own system to clean it before using it.

Overall the product is very minimalistic and adds style to any space. It produces cool air which is refreshing during warm weather. The controls are simple to understand and it provides noticeable humidity for a room up to about 10'x12'. Any larger, you might as well just sit in front of the humidifier. One draw back is the maintenance...after about 1 month of continuous use, you will have to go thru the maintenance procedure as described in the manual (even though they recommend every 2 weeks or so). Otherwise there is noticeable build up of dry crust around the fan. However it's a great product but may not be worth the $500 price tag.
