This little vacuum is amazing!

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
This little vacuum is amazing. I was shocked when I took it out of the box to see how small it was but was ecstatic to see how well it cleaned my home. I’m 30 weeks pregnant and I don’t look forward to vacuuming in the traditional way - but this little guy does the work for me.
What I love about this vacuum:
It does all the work. Seriously, you just push a button and it will clean your entire room and in some modes, it will go back to recharge when it needs to. This is awesome. The only thing you ever have to do is clean it’s dust cup (and periodically the filters).
It features a 360 eye. This vacuum has a small camera on top of it that helps it understand the layout of the room, including where furniture is. It actually makes a copy of the floorplan of what it has cleaned and sends it to your phone app. This way even if you are not home, you can see what exactly it cleaned.
It won’t fall down the stairs. We tested this out when it cleaned our upstairs loft. It has special sensors that allow it to detect depth and it will not accidently fall. I’m thankful for that because are steps are hardwood and that would have been a bad fall.
It includes a free app for your phone. This is outstanding. The directions are simple to set it up. I am not that tech savvy and I found it extremely easy. Once set up you can program the robot for cleanings, you can check on what it has cleaned, you can even see if there is a problem through their alerts. This leaves the guess work out of what is going on with our robot. An added feature? You can name your little robot and the app will refer to them by name! I, personally, thought that was fun.
It contains a lot of suction. This is a strong, powerful, vacuum just like other Dysons which I have used. You would not believe all the grit and dust it got off my floor and placed safely in its dust cup.
It works on both carpet and hard floors. We have used this in our foyer (hardwood), the master bath (ceramic flooring), and the bedrooms which are carpeted. We have also used this in the dining room (thin carpet) and all of these places it worked extremely well to clean and pick up even specks of dust. The only rug in our house it didn’t work well on was our shaggy carpet in the living room. To be fair, I can’t use any vacuum with a rotating brush on this carpet because it has too much pile.
The dust cup holds a good amount. For being such a small vacuum, it holds a lot of dust. The container, which is easy to empty, needed to be emptied after it cleaned our large master bedroom (which hadn’t been vacuumed in a while, so I expected that). It can clean a few smaller bedrooms without having to be cleaned.
It is so easy to charge. I mentioned above that it can charge itself. If you are cleaning a room that is far from it’s base (or on a different floor of your house) then you will have to manually place it back either when it is out of power or when it is done cleaning. There is no guesswork to how to charge this thing. It is so simple - it just sits next to it’s charging station which is plugged into a wall outlet. I was happy to see how easy this is.
Grid pattern of cleaning: My husband I both liked that it cleans in a grid pattern. Because it has an “eye” it can see where it has been and where it needs to clean and it does so in straight lines. This gives a very clean look to the room once it is finished.
This machine has gotten my family excited about cleaning! Not only has it helped me out tremendously as I await the due date of this baby...but my older kids are now racing to clean their rooms to see the little robot clean their floors. I kid you not. They all love it.

I received this product free in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is the first robot vac that I have ever used. I have always been very hesitant to purchase one because I was afraid that they would not work as well as my Dyson vacuum (which I adore). I am super impressed with the 360 Eye Robot Vacuum.
My first impressions came from the design. I loved how modern and stylish it looked. The nickel and blue just look perfect and exactly what I would expect from Dyson when it comes to style.
After I had looked at the design, I started to unbox everything. Included with the 360 Eye Robot Vacuum is also a charging station which has a very slim design. The instructions included in the box could not be clearer. Everything was so easy to set up and use. You can control your new 360 Eye Robot Vacuum with the app, but you don't have to use this feature. For me, I just push the button and let this baby go to work. I did check out the vac just for review purposes, and it works well. I had no problems using my iPhone 6s Plus with the 360 Eye Robot Vacuum.
When it comes to the suction power, it is everything you can image with the larger Dyson Vacuums. I was very surprised that it picked up as much as it did. It goes through each room making a "pattern" and getting every little corner. Another thing that I was worried about is the 360 Eye Robot Vacuum bumping into things. I have a ton of breakable cabinets and not once did it it anything. BONUS!!
I could not be happier with this product. If you love to take a break and let something else do the work for you, this is perfect. The 360 Eye Robot Vacuum is not only stylish but functions perfectly. It also is funny watching my dog with the 360 Eye Robot Vacuum. I thought it would scare him, but he is just so fascinated. He follows it around like they are buddies.

I received my Dyson 360 Eye for free in return for this review.-
First of all, I have never owned a robot vacuum before. When I opened this, I was not intimidated at all. It came perfectly packaged and the process to set it up was easy. I love the fact that it comes with a charging dock. The instructions were clear and I did not have to second guess anything. I also love that it comes assembled.
We docked it and charged it, I set it up on my phone as well (that is not a requirement fiy, so if you dont have a smart phone, dont worry). After we set it up, I got it going in my kitchen. I was so impressed at how it does a pattern to clean! It gets every area of the room completely! The suction- the suction is something else. It picked up so much dirt and the best thing is that I could sit on the couch while it did my work for me!!! I love how it "scopes" out the room before hand. It also doesn't just "bump" into things.
It picked up so much that I was disgusted I had that much in my floor. I am happy that I can relax and have a helper do work for me if you will. Overall, I highly recommend this product and it is a must have in any home! I can't wait to use it more!
The overall design of the product is neat. You can definitely tell it is a Dyson by looking at it. I love the color and how sleek it looks. It is a conversation piece for sure. As a mom on the go, I am thrilled that this is one less chore that I have to worry about.

I would think something this expensive and made by Dyson would work fairly well. After a month, only about 50% of the scheduled times actually kind of worked. It gets lost. Gets stuck. Dies in the middle of the floor. Makes it part way back to the charging dock.
I don't think I've gotten one good vacuuming job and I have a fairly small home with tile floors
Unless there is some huge software update and/or better phone support, I'll chalk this up to a big mistake

Hi, this is Aimee with Dyson. I am sorry to hear of your experience with your Dyson 360 Eye as this is not what we would expect. The Dyson Link app allows the scheduling of a single clean or recurrent cleanings with just the flick of a button. The Dyson 360 Eye will also detect when it’s low on battery and then return to the dock to recharge. Once charged, it will continue where it left off covering the entire accessible space.
I understand you may have been in touch with our helpline, however; we would value the opportunity to ensure your robot vacuum is operating properly and learn more about your experience. Our aim is to provide quick and efficient support. We have a dedicated phone line for our connected products with trained experts on staff that are available to assistance at 866-664-8997. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

This robot vacuum has some good qualities but not enough for the price. Although very small, it's too tall to fit under most furniture. I didn't find the suction power to be that much better than Roomba. I tried this one, the Samsung and the Roomba980 and the Roomba was my final pick hands down. With the Best Buy credit card, you can finance the Roomba interest free for 12 months.

I bought this vacuum after having a roomba for a few years and I wasn’t very happy with the performance of my Roomba. It worked great at first until I move the base station into a different room where there was a carpet and then I started having problems Dyson is been quick to replace it but that hasn’t solve the problem I’m not sure where this will lead

I love Dyson products and own multiple vacuums, air purifiers, etc. Unfortunately the Robot Vac does not compare to 200 dollar products. It was extremely loud, but that was not the deal breaker. The deal breaker was the performance. It made it back home just a couple times, never really made it around the house very well and is way too tall. I watched my neighbors Roomba work yesterday and it was the 400 dollar one. So much better than the dyson. Dyson should be leading the way not falling behind especially for the price.

I purchased the Dyson thinking it would be the best robot vacuum but I was disappointed. The device requires the spaces it works in to have the light on. Battery dies extremely quickly, 80% of the time it doesn't remember how to get back to the base. 90% it starts cleaning and stops in middle stating error with the track or brush ( when I check, nothing is wrong ) constantly hits counters and metal surfaces. Does not recognize difference between carpet and floor so the suction power has to be changed manually. There is no spot cleaning and the dirt bin is very small. For the price they charge this is really not worth it!

Hello there,
Thank you for your Dyson 360 Eye Robot review. We’re sorry to hear you have encountered difficulty with the usage of your robot. This sounds most unusual and we’d like to ensure it is performing as designed.
The Dyson 360 Eye features a 360 degree camera system that understands its environment. If it needs to vacuum under a bed or in areas in which light conditions are poor it will increase the exposure on the camera and decrease its speed. To enable the system to work in these locations the infrared headlights provide additional illumination to find features to track.
In addition to this, the machine features up to 75 minutes of continuous usage. However, the runtime is theoretically infinite as it will return to the dock to recharge when needed. It is important to note that you must start the cleaning duties while the machine is on the dock in order for it to return and recharge as needed.
You may also be interested to know that the robot is designed to automatically adjust motor power for optimal efficiency across multiple floor types. The versatility of the machine across multiple floor types is further enhanced by the tank tread system.
You are right to note that this machine is engineered for whole room systematic cleaning. It has not been engineered to clean specific sections of the room. However it can of course be used to clean specific areas – if you place the robot on the required area and press start, it will begin to systematically clean that spot. It should be manually stopped when the required area has been covered.
We’d very much like to learn more about your experience and we’re keen to ensure your machine is performing as it should. Please feel free to email your contact information to [email protected] and we will be in touch to help out.
Best wishes, Dan

Busy Family Life Helper

I am loving this Dyson 360 eye. We have a full lower level floor of hardwood, and with two busy girls our floors are constantly showing dirt and debris. Working full time means that when I have free time the last thing I want to do is grab our vacuum or broom and sweep the floors everyday. That is why I am in love with this Dyson robotic vacuum. I was given this unit to test and facilitate my leaving a review, all thoughts and experiences are my own.
I do a quick scan for cords and toys, then start up the 360 eye vacuum. The vacuum runs around in a seemingly unorganized way, picking up all the dirt and crumbs that have found their way onto the hardwood. We have a fairly large lower level, and I do find that one charge is not enough to complete the whole level. The Dyson will return to it's start position when it runs our of battery power to recharge. And, with the app installed on my smartphone I'm able to be alerted when there's an issue with the Dyson.
PROS:
- saves me tons of time by doing a sweep of our busy rooms that pick up lots of debris.
- the smartphone app can help you see where the vacuum has been, and you can schedule it to run on a schedule.
- does a great job of picking up debris and can handle going from hardwood onto rugs well.
CONS:
- the canister is a bit small, so I find I need to empty it a few times while running.
- wish the battery life was a bit longer.

Despite lukewarm reviews I figured I would give it a shot. Had to upgrade software manually on it. Does an excellent job cleaning, for my home battery life is fine, I only use upstairs and have it do master bedroom, let it charge, then have it do the rest of the floor. Carpet looks like a regular vacuum was used. I recommend this product if you do not have a huge house.

We are a family of 5, mom, dad, toddler and twins 1 year old. This was by far one of the best purchases we could have done for the house and saved us from the lack of time to vacuum.
Once it arrived, I quickly realized why people were posting so many bad reviews about it. However, we decided to give it a try to improve our home so the robot could work, and that was one of the best things we did. We liked it so much we called it M-O (from Wall-E) =) .
What we did so it works well:
- If a normal vacuum would get stuck, the robot will get stuck: prepare the house by removing anything with which the robot could get stuck on, for example, phone charging cables, shoe laces, socks, toy parts and it goes. The brush bar on the robot is the same as any other vacuum, but you're not there to unstuck it. After a few runs you easily get the idea, just give it a few days / runs.
- If it gets stuck under furniture, place a blocking or find another way to prevent it from going under it: for us that meant raising our bed and putting some cardboard pieces in front of furniture we know it would get stuck under.
And that was it. Now "M-O" goes to work 3 times a week. In our 3000sqft house, mostly carpet, it clears the lower floor on Monday and Friday and the upper floor on Wednesdays. This little guy has taken more than 15 full bins of dirt, and every time I keep thinking that my kids were playing there.
Is it perfect? No. Can you adjust so it work for you: Yes, or at least we could.
What must improve:
- Better algorithm to find the base. This was much less of an issue when we had "M-O" cleaning during the day
- Better algorithm to determine when NOT to go under something since clearance is not good enough. This is a bummer, as you can't mark areas to NOT go into, it simply tries again and again every time.
What could also improve:
- Coin to have the brush bar out? Really? I don't use coins for a while. Quarters are rarely in my pockets or somewhere easy to find. Ended up having to keep two near were we use the robot to be able to open the brush bar. How about a popup press or center structure, come on guys, this is an easy improvement
- Have a place in the robot or in the base for a brush and small scissors or anything else to clean up the bin when emptying it and remove hair from the brush bar respectively. 2 dollar improvement that I would have loved to have
Overall, here is what happens here:
- Kids go to daycare
- Back home, do a quick cleanup, usually 2 minutes and I'm not exaggerating
- Get "M-O" and the base to the center of the lower or upper floor
- Turn him on or let the scheduled 8:30 cleaning get him going if we are moving back and forth before leaving the house
- Go to work
- Usually at 3:00 PM I get a notification that "M-O has finished cleaning.", and sure enough, back home it has a full bin and everything looks better, not to mention the tons of hair in the brush bar. It does so starting with a full charge and another two charges.
"M-O" is now a member of the family. We love it. =)

1st robot got lost and would stop in middle of vacum. Did firmware update and no change. Contacted Dyson something was wrong with the unit. Could exchange or send to Dyson. Decided to exchange. Wow what a difference. It immediately sync to wifi as the first one had issues. And it returns to home every time and completed our entire floor as it is supposed too. Suction is amazing on the dirt it picks up. We had an old canister vacum and never saw that come from the vacum. Simply a great vacum once the kinks are worked out. Very happy and pleased. We went ahead and bought another Dyson product.

The Dyson Eye is taking all day every day to complete a vacuum cycle. I suppose if your away from home the shortcomings of this vacuum don't matter. I worry about battery replacements. It has a small battery and charges and depleats daily if not multiple times. The life of the battery is my primary concern. I haven't decided if I'm taking it back for a refund. I might update my review at a later date.

Hi CaseMan. Thank you for taking the time to provide your review on the 360 Eye Robot Vacuum. The run time on this machine is up to 45 minutes with a full charge. The machine is designed to navigate back to the docking station to re-charge and then continue cleaning where it leaves off. It will continue this cleaning cycle until the entire space is clean, provided that the bin is emptied once full. Depending on big your space is, will determine how long it will take the machine to do a whole house cleaning.
With that being said, it is perfectly safe on the battery for it to continue re-charging during the cleaning process. It is also safe to leave the unit on the docking station once complete. Once the machine has reached a full charge, it will stop sending a charge to the battery.
We would like to learn more of your experience, and ensure your Dyson 360 Eye is performing as intended. To do so, simply email us at [email protected], and we will be glad to assist. We look forward to hearing from you.

Best Robot Vacuum - without a doubt

When I purchased the Dyson 360 Eye Robot Vacuum, I was clear with the clerk at BestBuy that if I "liked" the robot I was going to bring it back. At a cost of $999.99, liking it would not be enough to convince me to keep it. No, for me to make this vacuum a permanent part of my household, I would have to "LOVE" it. Well, that was 6 weeks ago and the Dyson 360 Eye has earned a permanent place in my home. People that know me call me a vacuum snob. I used to sell Rainbow Vacuums and i've been very picky about vacuums ever since then. Before the 360 Eye, I already have a central vacuum system, 2 Dyson vacuums, and an iRobot Roomba robot vacuum. I love vacuums and clean floors. I have had my Roomba for over a year. The 360 Eye outperforms the Roomba in every way. The 360 Eye is an amazing machine. I have had absolutely none of the problems that other reviewers have reported. The connectivity has been perfect. And that is quite an awesome feature. I tell all my friends now that my wife and I have split the chores. She does the cooking, cleaning, and laundry, and I do all the vacuuming. Then I pull my phone out and say "Time for me to vacuum" and I tap the button on my app and start vacuuming. The Dyson robot does indeed get stuck more often than the Roomba. The reason is simple...the 360 Eye has a whole bunch more suction! My Roomba never gets stuck. However, it is also able to run right over carpets with tassels, electric cords, clothes on the floor...the Dyson gets those things caught because it sucks them right up while the Roomba passes over them without incident. Well...if the Roomba can pass over an area rug and not suck up the tassels, it also means that it is not sucking up all the dirt either. The Dyson sucks those right up and gets stuck...and it also sucks up the deep down dirt. It's amazing to empty the cup on the Dyson. Yes...there is more leg work necessary prior to running the Dyson. You have to pick those things up, where you can leave everything on the floor for the Roomba. However, I would rather pick up a few items and have the Dyson pick up the dirt than have the Roomba leave the dirt in the carpet. The Dyson 360 Eye is a fantastic machine. Don't you dare buy any other robot vacuum unless you love dirty floors. I love my 360 Eye. I highly recommend that you give one a place in your home.
