Our family loves tthe Dyson heated / cooling unit!

It's one of the best and sleek looking fan/heater that you'll find on the market. It delivers on the promises on the qualtity front. So far I'm impressed with heater's quality and built in thermostat. It kicks off whenever temperature falls below threshold. Also, it is child proof since it is bladless. Really like the temperature control, oscillation, and design, but I was hoping it would be a little more powerful as a fan.

I was on the fence about spending this much on a heater. This heater/fan did not disappoint!! It works really well in medium size rooms but is said to be able to heat up to 1200 sq foot. I use this in my bedroom that has hardwood floors and two huge windows. This fan heats the room quickly. I love how is osculates, spreading the warm air around. I haven't used it as a fan yet but I have no doubts it will perform well due to the amount of air this fan pushes! GREAT PRODUCT!! Price isn't for everyone but it won't disappoint!

I like the design of the unit. It has a small footprint and is easy to use. It heats up the space quickly and the remote is handy. The only thing about the unit that could be better is that it is a little noisy when the heater comes on. I have not used the fan yet but the initial test run of the fan seems to be ok. I am looking forward to using the fan during warm weather.

I bought this heater to use in my finished basement, which gets a little chilly in the winter. I have a home theater set up down there which is the primary area I wanted to keep warm. My first comment is the size. I did not read the size specifications before ordering this, but it was about half the size of what I expected, which I think is a good thing. It comes with a handy remote, has a sleek appearance and performs well. I like the thermostat feature and fan speed adjustment. You can also control the oscillation speed, all from the remote. The unit is quieter than I expected and puts out a good amount of heat. It also doubles as a fan. The only con I can list about this unit is the cost, but I do not regret the purchase. You pay for the sleek design and solid performance.

I love Dyson products! The design for this fan/heater is sleek and attractive. Heater works pretty well and heats up a space fairly quickly. I love that it comes with a remote so I can control it (temp/speed) from the comfort of my bed! My only draw back with this item is that I wish it were a bit quieter. Even on its lowest fan setting/speed, I have to turn up the volume on my TV to compensate. *Dyson...make it quieter, please.* Still love it, though.

Love the look and design, the cooling part and the way it oscillates, but I feel the heater isn't throwing as much heat as I would like. The fan on cool however really moves the air around. I also like how the remote is magnetic and sits on the top of the unit. I would recommend this product.

I love dyson products, despite their high price tag. But then again, you do get what you pay for. This fan is superb. Love the heating feature. Only drawback is it's pretty loud on max setting. But other than that, I love it. Great for desk use.

It heat the surrounding area good but not very far. Good to have both fax speed and temp control on the remote. Would be better if not this expansive.

Unit works well as a cooling fan. The remote is very useful and I appreciate the magnetic storage which should help keep it from disappearing, considering its small size. The heat function works well in small rooms, but it can tend to cycle off & on quickly. When using in heat mode, the fan still blows at a higher than expected speed, even on the lowest fan speed setting, so be sure to use it indirectly. Fan noise is louder than I expected from Dyson.

Our central heat was on the fritz and we had to use the Dyson as our primary source of heat in the house. Though it didn't heat the entire house, it worked well to heat a single room and kept us warm this Christmas. I'm very impressed with this heater. Yes, it does make noise, but that doesn't bother us, as most heaters do.

I've owned several dyson products from the vacuum to the regular fan. Seems as if they are clearing out these models by discounting them heavily. I figured, what's better than the dyson I have?! Bamm, dyson has a product that not only functions as a fan, but doubles as a heater. Fuctions quite capably as both and I couldn't be happier. Even has a handy remote control to do all tasks without even touching the unit no matter where in the room you have it placed. Dyson name, dyson quality, buy and you will not regret. Great product!!!

Absolutely awesome product my wife and I love the way it heats cools ten different blower levels exact temperature setting with digital display isolating tilting powerful yet quiet motor remote control and just cool looking and small and indescrete at same time and totally safe for us and our parrot being blade less it is awesome product!!!

I bought this item on sale to use in my bedroom for the winter. It heats up a room very quickly. Even when I used it in my living room it was able to heat a large space well. It doesn't cool as an air conditioner but more as a fan. It's also very loud when turned up on high, but I don't mind that because I like to sleep with the sound of a fan.

So I have had this thing under my desk for a few weeks now. It is set at 90 degrees in a 12x12 room. My knees are less than 2 feet from it and my pants never get hot. Some may say that's a good thing, but when my feet are still cold and I want to set them in the center of the loop-that's not a heater, that's an ottoman. Set at 90 degrees it runs constantly and after 12 hours, the temp on the wall clock above it has never gone above 76 degrees. Set at 85, it will turn off and you get a brief moment of peace and quiet then it kicks back on. I said peace and quiet because with a fan speed setting of 1 to 10 it's too annoying set anything higher than 1. I have to turn it off to talk on the phone or it sounds like I'm in the cabin of an airplane, or so I'm told. And in case you were wondering, the air does not get warmer the higher the fan speed. It just gets drafty and you'll want to grab a jacket. As for the cooling, I assume the heat element turns off and it just blows air. It's hard to tell for sure since there is no hot nor cold setting, only the temperature setting from about 40F degrees to 99F degrees. At some point it just blows room temperature air. You may want to open a window to actually change the room temperature if it is cooler outside than inside. So in summary, did I get my money's worth? Well, that depends on if I'm big into the brand name and having guests comment about my heater and think I'm all that and a bag of chips by the coin I dropped on this thing.... then yes. On the other hand if you want something that will warm you up, you'll be better served buying a sweat shirt . Did I keep it or return it? Well, it's still under my desk doing the best it can as I type this up. I think I'll keep it just because it compliments my stainless steel trash can so well. It also makes me feel like I have money to burn to buy trophies like this. Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.

I used it to heat a dining and kitchen area in less than 20 minutes from 58 degrees to 65 degrees, while my heat was out. In the morning, it takes the chill out of the bathroom in no time for jumping in the shower. Price is high, but I would buy it again.

This unit was purchased with the intention of heating a bedroom on the upstairs level of a house for the room to be comfortable at bedtime. This is being used during the winter months where the temps are 30F and below. The bedroom has high ceilings and the windows are in need of replacement. The unit heated the room adequately within 15-20 minutes but I do close the bedroom door to trap the heat and thus decreasing the amount of time the unit needs to run. A timer on the unit would be very helpful but it does not have one. Looking forward to see how the cooling feature works. Quite expensive but I found it to be worth the money. Better values may be out there but good luck with experimenting as this unit does the job.

Bought to keep bedroom warmer than rest of the house. Provides more than enough heat for a 12x16 room. The only con is that is can be a slightly loud on highest fan setting

I really like Dyson "air multipliers". Heating is very efficient. Air flow is consistant and smooth. Everyhinng would be great but this one is kind of noisy. I have a Dyson AM03 tower fan which is larger and much quieter.
