Spent 90 minutes watching YouTube videos researching modern vacuums when I got tired of our ancient vacuums from the 90s that no longer even have bags for them. We have pets that shed like nobody’s business and carpet throughout the house that is discolored purely from the amount of animal hair in the carpet. After getting this vacuum home and assembling, I was blown away by the very first pass on our area rug, first of all this vacuum weighs between 15-18lbs (heavy for a vacuum but not unreasonably heavy) and when off rolls over floor with ease, however when I turned it on for the first time I swear it felt like the vacuum instantly weighed 35-40lbs due to the incredible suction! This was the first time I felt like vacuuming could become a workout, (of course you can adjust the height settings to make everything easier if you don’t need as deep and close of a clean). But what really impressed me was the first pass over the rug took it from a charcoal grey to almost Vantablack in the first pass. On top of all this, the roller detangling design is no gimmick even with this crazy amount of pet hair the roller never clogged or got tangled with hair. This vacuum has hands down been the best quality vacuum I have ever purchased or used in my 20+ years of vacuuming experience! May be a little pricey but absolutely worth every penny! Short of installing a jet engine in home vacuum through your walls like a really rich person, I’m convinced this is the best vacuum on the market.

I had been wanting to get the Dyson Ball Animal vacuum line for years! I had been using a Shark Ion vacuum, which is great for small spaces, but not very powerful. So when I finally got the Dyson soon after I moved, I couldn't have been more estatic. It's not as easy to handle as my Shark, but boy does it clean!!! The suction is insanely powerful, picking up dust that the shark could never pick up even after several runovers. It's big, but not as heavy as I thought it would be. It's corded, but the cord is so long that it I can vacuum my entire first floor of the townhome from one outlet. A retractable cord would be very nice, but other than that, this really is an amazing vacuum overall! I will say that the suction hose is a bit stiff to maneuver though, but not too bad once you get used to it. Also, getting the vacuum to stand on its own is a bit flimsy, I hope they improve this with future iterations. Overall, I highly recommend! These Dyson vacuums always go on sale for about $100 off every few months, definitely worth the wait!

Great suction power, easy to assemble, but heavy compared to previous Dyson ball model and locking the handle in the upright position must be done with extra care or it falls back down…could be undesirable if falling into wall or furniture,

I love this vacuum!! It’s very powerful! Has great suction, the brush roll picks up a ton of stuff on just the forward push and then if it misses anything it picks up the remaining stuff on the backward pull. We have mostly carpets but it does well on our hard floor in our kitchen to get any crumbs and such. The one flaw is that because it is so powerful even with the head suction adjusted to the least powerful setting it will still try to eat things like bathroom or entry way rugs, though we have no issues with our large area rug. It is a full size upright vacuum so it’s on the heavier side but to me it’s worth it to have the immense amounts of power. Especially compared to very popular stick vacs. The hose stretches very far and with the wand can reach farther then you expect.

This is my first Dyson and I love it. I have an Australian Shepherd puppy and within the first year of having her, I was overwhelmed with the amount of dog hair accumulating in our house. My old Shark was not cutting it. The Dyson Ball Animal 3 has been a game changer! The accessories are helpful and the overall power of the vacuum is awesome. It’s heavy and it takes some gusto to push it around. After my first time going through the whole house (I was excited), my lower back was a little sore. But it’s worth it, my house is clean!

Bought this for my mother as a Christmas gift. She is about 60 years old and prefers upright vacuums, so I was worried that this may be a little too heavy for daily use. I ended up pulling the trigger on this since the price was great and the reviews were good, if you look online there is a community of vacuum "purists" that do not like anything dyson. Do not listen to those people. My mom really loves this vacuum over her old shark one and has no problem pushing it around, the accessories are awesome, we have a dog that sheds like crazy and after using the upholstery attachment our couches do not have a single hair on them for the first time in years. Floors look way cleaner, you can see the vacuum visibly pull dirt of of corners which is very satisfying to see haha. Its a great vacuum and I highly recommend it.

Used daily 3 large dogs. . Had similar dyson before lasted 12 years. Bought different brand had for 2 went back to this. There is no better vacuum dollar for dollar hope never stop making lso much better having canister no bags too.

So I needed a new vac and my daughter had just purchased a Dyson upright. She was still undecided about how well she liked it. I pushed hers around for a couple of minutes, read a bunch of reviews, and decided on the Animal 3. They named it appropriately - it is an Animal. I have 2 aussies and a long haired cat. Everyone knows my house is always hairy. I’m 72 and am a provider for special needs people so don’t have a lot of time to constantly vacuum. I had my house cleaned 3 days ago, including, of course, vacuuming. I started with my living room shag carpet and it was insanely difficult to push the Beast through the rug, but I filled the container. Moving onto my bedroom, I vacuumed it, my closet and the hallway. I’ve attached a photo with the results of that. WOW! I couldn’t believe it. This thing could definitely suck the chrome off a bumper. It’s not the easiest to push around and the instructions for assembly are pathetic, but the dog groomer is absolutely aahhmazing and I wish I would have invented it. All in all it’s a pretty efficient Beast. Cord is super long, as is the hose and the other attachments work great. If you have long haired, year round shedders, this is the machine for you.

I loved my first Dyson animal vacuum. But the newest one came out and my first one wasn't working very well. However Best buy warranty was awesome they just took my old one and replaced it with the newest model and all it cost me was the cost to put a new warranty on the new vacuum. Brought it home to find it worked just as great as my old one but came with a new attachment to vacuum my huskys hair and it sucked the hair right up. No mess! A-1 service and A-1 product. Thank you Best Buy for your awesome customer service.

Works amazing no hair gets stuck in the beater bar, whether it's human or pet hair. Great suction power like most all dyson products. Easy to clean as well.

We have 2 Siberian cats who have pretty long hair and shedd a lott!!! I've been very skeptical about investing into another vaccum after having putting a lot money in other brands and let me tell you nothing worked for us. But this product has satisfied me when it comes to cleaning and picking up all the dirt and hair. And now I can finally breathe the fresh air in my house again.. I would definitely recommend it for the pet owners cause you'll love it too!!!

Great Vacuum, no more words, there’s nothing else to say, just buy it!! I tried other models and got tangled hair at the roll but the animal 3 none AT ALL! Greatest vacuum I’ve ever tried! PS: I kept searching a lot to make sure which model to buy it and got one on wholesale club for $279 but the roll wasn’t the one that cleans itself. The only difference between the regular, extra and complete is the number of the attachments that comes extra with the vacuum, no differences at all on the suction and all the rest

If you're having an issue with the price you can by 4 Bissel/Hoover or just get this dyson and be done with it. Went over my house with the old vacuum and did a swiffer dust of the floor then rolled this bad boy out. Filled the canister 5 times before i got through the house showing how much the swiffer and vacuum missed. Even if you have hardwood floors this thing is worth it. Absolute Beast.

Here’s the back story. I bought a “V11 Outsize cordless” because I didn’t want the cord and I thought it was a good match for what I need but I was SO WRONG. I live in a big farmhouse and there is always dirt plus kiddos and a dog, and the v11 didn’t do anything. Clogged like crazy and was just a mess for 799.99. So I bought this after the reviews and this vacuum is a DREAM. The suction is so strong and lots of multi floor functions. I love it! Farmhouse approved! Save some buy and buy this!

The day I went Dyson I’ve never looked back. I bought it at a wedding gift because I hated the cheap vacuums my now wife used to pick up $50 at a time and throw away and replace once or twice a year, insane! With the Dyson I actually saw her smile while using a vacuum cleaner. With an amazing warranty by both Dyson & Best Buy you can’t go wrong. It’s worth the purchase price because I’ve had an upgraded replacement twice and only renewed the warranty each time since 2014.

We love Dyson brand from Fans, humidifier to vacuums. We have 3 cats in the house and we have tried as many brand we could to compare which one really works for our very furry abode. Dyson Animal 3 is impressibly delivers what we are hoping for without us having to spend thousands on vacuums.

This vacuum is good, but falls short on some design features. Ill start with the pros: - Excellent suction, the best of any vacuum we've had. - Easy to empty the bin. - Feels well built. - Filter is easy to clean. Now for the cons: - No light on the brush head. - The exhaust is on the side of the ball so you need to vacuum from left to right else any dust and/or fur will be blown around the house. - The wand design is somewhat cumbersome to use, it goes down inside of the hose and needs to be pulled up and out of the vacuum and then extended. Overall this is a good vacuum with excellent suction and filtration. The only thing I really feel that it needs is a light on the cleaning head, the other cons are more of an annoyance.

I absolutely love this vacuum cleaner. It gets up so much hair and dust. It’s easy to set up and use and the support that they offer is very helpful. I love the attachments and it has in the option to brush and suck up my dogs hair

Golden Retriever hair is no match for this monster! Cat hair is no match for this monster! Even my hair is no match for this monster. Twice a week every week for 3 years so far. Great machine!
