I LOVE this vacuum so much, I want to marry it! The wide head and powerful suction means less sweeps across the floor to accomplish the task, which equals less time spent vacuuming. I am done so much faster, not having to go over the floor a thousand times and not being limited to an area with a cord tying me down. I have never run out of battery power during a chore, but the extra battery is nice to have just in case. I love all of the tools it came with; I haven't found a task yet, it doesn't have a tool for. It is quieter than most vacuums. It doesn't become clogged with hair. It is convenient to grab for small tasks. It is versatile for cleaning under and behind things and in high spaces. The range of motion is so good, I can even vacuum behind the toilet! It is convenient and lightweight enough that cleaning the stairs is not cumbersome. I cant say enough wonderful things about it. A few things to note...It CAN get a bit heavy if you are doing the whole house; I switch arms back and forth. It probably would not be good for someone with a disability for that reason. It is a trade off for the power, extended life battery, and large canister. When vacuuming a rug/carpet that has a medium to high pile, I recommend switching the lever on the front of the head to the minus (-) sign and setting the power to eco to lessen the suction and make it easier to push. It is very strong. LOL Thirdly, it will suck up pretty much anything, so be careful how large the items are, or you will need to unclog it. My son sucked up some poinsettia leaves, which clogged the intake. We figured it out, because it wasn't picking things up. We simply emptied the canister and pulled the leaves out and it was good to go. Buy it! You will not regret it!

So far so good, i have the v11 torque drive in my bedroom and decided to get this one for the main floor, having two batteries is awesome, the quick dumping mechanisms on the bin works better than the smaller torque drive since i have two Huskies and the fur doesn't want to come out of the smaller bin sometimes. It's a bit heavier but takes half the time to set up and do a quick vacuum around the house if I'm expecting guests than a full size. no plugging into several outlets and hanging it on the wall ready to go any minute makes vacuuming so much less miserable, skat like sweeping with a built in dust pan. Also the led on the crevice tool really helps get those furballs under desks and around corners that are easy to miss. Only had it a month now but i find it so much easier to keep my house clean since I'm always busy. the wide head is much more ideal for keeping 3000 sq feet clean with dogs. Haven't hit any wet spots or had anything break. It doesn't get close to using up a whole battery and seems to have just as much suction as my shark. It does seem like it could be more flimsy than a full size vacuum but only time will tell. Had my smaller v11 break a week after getting it and they sent me a new motorized head within a few days free shipping with no hassle whatsoever, just answering some troubleshooting questions over text which has been the best warranty experience I've ever had but I'm glad i had a backup.

This is my third Dyson! Even though my other Dysons are still working (15 years and still going) we wanted something lightweight and easy to use. This vacuum exceeded my expatiations as shown in the picture. I went over the area that my robot vacuum just finished and as you can see the other vacuum just can't compete. The unit comes with two batteries which you will need if you're running on high. I found that leaving the vacuum on auto is powerful enough and gives you about 45 minutes run time. It also comes with a mounting bracket making it easy to store. The only thing I don't like is the way the accessory attached to the main shaft. I use it to hold the illuminated crevice tool which is very handy but its always moving or falling off. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this vacuum!

    Dyson Outsize, Outstanding Performance

Dyson is constantly pushing the boundaries of what home cleaning and electronic technology is capable of. Yet with any new innovation, especially at the outset, it can be initially expensive. However, weigh that with quality, performance, and how long what you’re purchasing will likely last until needing to be replaced. That is how I always approach considering a Dyson product. Right off the bat, after unboxing, just holding the main body of this vacuum, I felt like the ‘kick butt’ female space marine from the movie ”Aliens” wielding this thing. Seriously! And it wasn’t overly heavy either. Totally acceptable size and weight for handling what all this machine is made to do. The Dyson Outsize Total Clean Cordless Vacuum is marketed as a ‘learning machine’, and I believe it. You can actually hear the sound of the motor change as the vacuum automatically adjusts to the type of floor surface you are currently cleaning (wood/tile or carpet). The sound is discreet, and you will also feel only the slightest vibration in your hand holding the trigger handle. Now, comparing this Dyson Outsize to the Dyson ‘Fluffy’ Cordless Stick Vacuum which I already own, the Outsize is the “mama bear” to the smaller “baby bear.” What I mean is, when they say outsize, they aren’t kidding. The full-size cleaner head is designed to work on all floors, and it does a good job covering a fair amount of surface area. Another notable feature is the full-size dust bin, which is nice so that you won’t be having to empty it as often. And removing the brush bar is pretty straightforward and simple. The Outsize Total Clean runs relatively quiet too, especially compared to other brands of standard vacuums, as well as, previous Dysons I’ve owned. On the handheld part there is an LCD display which allows you to set your preferred language, change alert settings, check battery health, and switch between the three modes - Eco, Auto, and Boost. The variety of included tools are easy to snap on and off, and should provide what you need for handling a multitude of cleaning tasks. This Dyson Outsize Total Clean comes with two rechargeable batteries, which is quite useful, when you do want to switch them out. I’ve really become a fan of cordless household cleaning appliances. They are simply so convenient, and that much easier to move about your home without having to deal with the annoying cord getting tangled, being a tripping hazard, or ‘accidentally’ running over the cord with the vacuum itself, potentially damaging it. *Remember to review the online User Manual for proper care of your Dyson vacuum, so as to know the exact procedure for emptying the dust bin, and how to wash the attachment tools and filters. (This was a minor downside for me; there not being a printed version of the user’s manual included along with the vacuum.) So, how was my own personal experience using this Dyson Outsize machine? Well, in a word ... impressive. Very close to being the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. Nearly. For its size, this particular Dyson was really maneuverable, even more so than the smaller Dyson Stick Vacuum I mentioned before. Controlling the cleaning head as I moved the Outsize vacuum across my floors wasn’t clumsy, and holding onto the handheld part of the machine wasn’t cumbersome at all, even during an extended cleaning session. And after having already “cleaned” my carpets with a different brand vacuum, going back over them with this Dyson, showed me how much dirt that other machine left behind. A noticeable difference. Most importantly, yes, I was able to clean my entire home, every room, tile floors and carpets alike, on just one fully-charged battery. But it was good to know I had the second battery charged and ready to go, if that had been necessary to finish the job. Even with the amazing build quality and exceptionally consistent performance Dyson products are known for, this model is a bit pricey, in my opinion. Still, if you’re looking for a powerful, reliable, cordless vacuum, this Dyson Outsize Total Clean may be one to consider.

Ridiculously good vacuum, two things that stand out - the lack of hair being stuck on the rollers and the easy to release angle thing at the top of the long pipe that's design to allow you to vacuum low items (rather difficult to describe) makes it so easy to clean up underneath furniture. Oh, and it seems practically as powerful as our upright Dyson.

    Longer lasting, most powerful suction

Long lasting, most powerful suction The latest version of the Dyson Outside total clean cordless vacuum is an absolute beast, in a good way. From unpacking to emptying the bin, the attention to detail and quality Dyson engineering put in, is top notch. This model comes with two larger 7-cell lithium-ion easily removable batteries that can last up to 120 minutes of combined usage - make sure you fully charge them for best results. If fully drained, it could take 4.5hrs of charge time. There is an intelligent LCD display on top of the motor casing that reports how much runtime you can expect from the battery. It also allows you to change the power mode and performance mode from Auto, to Eco to Boost modes. Auto mode worked well for me, it adapted to each floor surface type by adjusting suction power and preserving battery life. You can hear the motor slow down to different levels on hardwood and tile floors. One of our floors is fully carpeted, so the motor automatically cranked up in speed and suction power to perform a deeper cleaning of the thick carpet. The run time on the display changed accordingly to a lower number, but once I started vacuuming the hardwood steps, the expected battery life increased again. Now onto the attachments and collection bin - the extra large Full Size Torque XL cleaner head is 25% bigger and wider and the bin has 150% bigger capacity so you can easily complete vacuuming a good size ~ 2,000 sqft home on a single charge, single bin and less walking back and forth. That more than makes up for the heavier feel of the entire unit. I received the BestBuy exclusive version that comes with additional bonus tools which came in handy. The Low-reach adapter is a wonderful addition that helps you get under furniture by adjusting the wand up to 90 degrees angle. The light pipe crevice tool comes in handy with the built-in LED light that guides you in darker, smaller spaces. All in all I am totally impressed with the Dyson Outside Total Clean Cordless Vacuum. I had already vacuumed the fully carpeted floor a few days before and when I received this Dyson I did it once over and it picked up plenty of dust and hair that a corded Bissell vacuum didn’t even know existed. The Dyson did some serious deep carpet dust cleaning, filled up about a quarter of the bin - see pics. If you can afford it and don’t mind the heavier weight, this one checks all the boxes.

We are relatively clean people who sweep, swifter, and vacuum on a regular basis but the Dyson was an awakening into how much dirt, dust, dog hair, etc. we’ve been missing. Picture below was our 1st use. Entire home & under beds. It’s without a doubt ons of the best purchases of our lives and we can’t imagine ever going back to anything else. Amazing product from dyaon as usual. I had the same one two years ago, it was working great, vaccum very well and did all tasks perfectly. However, id recommend purchasing prodcut protection for at least 3yrs, because I started to notice lack of performance, battery drains fast, and it stopped from time to time. If youre planning to buy an expensive item, make sure that youre buying its protection plan as well.

Wow, this is a fantastic home cleaning appliance. I can't believe how much this Dyson Outsize Total Clean Cordless Vacuum impressed me right out of the box. The appliance looks pretty, but it's loaded with technology meant to make my cleaning easier and more efficient. This cordless vacuum is lightweight and super easy to use with maneuvering. This particular BEST BUY Exclusive has some fantastic tools that come with it. Items such as, a low reach adapter for getting under couches or tight spaces, and the Dyson Light pipe crevice tool that has built in LED lighting allowing you to reach into dark spaces like the couch cushions for example. This is a full size cleaner head that comes with a full size bin to capture and contain all your dust and debris so you don't have to make as many trips to the trash bin. 2 battery packs are included that make your cleaning continuous to ensure you have enough power to get your whole area clean. Of course, there is that Dyson Hyperdymium motor that provides incredible and powerful suction that pulls up dust and hair that my robot vacuum didn't pick up just a day before. Another unique feature of this vacuum is the cleaner head that has a Dyson Dynamic Load Sensor that automatically senses the floor type and adjusts the power on the fly to clean properly and accordingly so that it won't damage any hard floor surfaces. Another nice feature is the LCD screen on the Dyson Outsize handle. An LCD display that gives the operator real time performance info and battery life remaining. There are different modes such as Auto, Eco, and Boost which create different suction ability and vary the battery life shown on the LCD display. A new feature offered here is a tool that gives you a Dyson Hair Tool that is brand new and offers anti-tangle and is easy to use and operate. Great for removing pet hair, cleaning couches, and for use on the stairs also. Ideal for anyone that suffers from air pollution or allergies, as this vacuum will pull allergens out of the air and expel cleaner air than the air it's pulling in. The battery life with the 2 battery packs offers you up to 2 hours of usage, which is astounding and you won't have to stop your clean up. This is a full size vacuum that has the ability to transform into a handheld vacuum with full suction power and capability when you add on the accessories and tools. Clean ups are easy as well so you don't have to touch anything or get your hands dirty with the unique "point and shoot" bin. This is a luxury appliance and yes it's worth it. The one and only vacuum you will need for a whole home cleaning. You get all the needed tools to keep your home clean for carpeted or hard floor surfaces. Gentle on your flooring, but powerful with it's suction. I was impressed by how much suction this offers that it pulled up dust and dirt that was just in a room that got vacuumed the day before. I highly recommend this vacuum for Dyson's suction ability, maneuverability, tools offered, and advanced technology. The Best Buy Exclusive Dyson Outsize Total Clean Cordless Vacuum is the one to get since you get some useful and helpful tools that will aid in your cleaning tasks.

Great Machine for Full House Cleaning

I was lucky enough to be one of the first to test the new Dyson Outsize Vacuum. Dyson is a great company that has for the last few years been making machines with industry leading technology and breakthroughs. The Dyson Outsize is one of those machines. This is my third stick vacuum to own of Dyson’s, I hate to call it a stick vacuum, but that best describes it. It has an exceptionally large dust bin; it seems to holds about 3 times as much as their other stick vacuums. No more stopping while you clean to empty the canister. The hygienic dust receptacle is point and shoot, just make sure your deep enough into your trash can for the amount of waste you have in the cannister, learned the hard way how much it holds. There is an LCD screen on the machine that reports performance in real time, giving you updates on which of the three power modes you are in, what is the life left on the battery, it will report a blockage in the machine, and give you updates on your filter. As stated above there are three power modes (1.) Auto Mode, which is the one we, have been using, it will go from carpet to hardwood floor, and you can hear the suction increase as it rolls onto the carpet, and it is gentle on my hardwood floors. (2.) Eco Mode, which gives you the maximum run time on your battery, which seems ok on full house cleaning. (3.) Boost Mode, for the times you really need to get in there and get down deep in your carpets, but it will drain your battery pretty quick. Speaking of batteries, they give you two batteries and two charging cables, so you are never without a battery. The battery lasts for about an hour, so with the two batteries I give up way before they do. The head unit on the machine is a full-size high torque XL cleaner head. Its pretty gentle on the softest wood floors. It gives you increased suction on carpet, has stiff bristles to get out ground in dirt, and a carbon filament to capture fine dust from hardwood floors and crevices. There is also a whole machine filtration that captures 99.99% of particles, dust, and allergens as small as 0.3 microns. There are 7 attachments that come with the device when you purchase at Best Buy, you get the 5 regular attachments, but you also get a light pipe crevice tool that lights up when you use it to get too hard-to-reach places. The other exclusive tool from Best Buy, the low reach adaptor, which is a pivoting angle adaptor that adjusts up to 90 degrees to get under almost anything. This is a great device that could replace two to three other machines that you are using now.

    The Best Vacuum Period

When I first heard about a cordless vacuum, I suspected that it would be powerless and more of a quick pickup vacuum cleaner. I grew up in a small business household where we sold vacuum cleaners for a living. It truly takes a remarkable product to impress me to this level. This vacuum is a powerhouse and pulled an embarrassing amount of dirt, hair and sand from my carpet. I had to empty it almost immediately, despite the large capacity holding bin. The first thing that I noted was how light this is. I assumed that the lightness would mean that it wouldn’t deep clean. I was mistaken. The head floats on any surface, including hardwood and cleans better than any other machine I have owned. Then I noticed how quiet it is. This is a very quiet cleaner and it sounds very scientific as the battery winds up the motor and then winds down. This is a next generation vacuum. The brush roller in it is air driven, so there are no belts to replace. There are three settings for the floor tool, but I found that the middle position handles everything that I would want it to. The carpet strands stand nicely after vacuuming and the air is clean. With the filtration system, the air is actually cleaner coming out of it than it was going in. The vacuum actually adapts to each floor type with a load sensor so there is no need to adjust it as it moves from room to room. It not only adapts to the proper height, it adapts the power delivered as well. Dyson was not only generous with a very long lasting battery, they provide two of them. There is also a handy charging mount that can be hung on all, so you will always have a freshly charged battery available at all times. Each battery is rated to run up to an hour, so you have two hours of available power when both are fully charged. When the package is first opened, it is recommended that both batteries be charged for 4.5 hours. There are two charging cords included, so they can be charged at the same time. After two weeks, I have yet recharge, so they last a long time. There is a handy battery gauge that lets you know how much capacity is left each time the machine is used. There is a battery icon along with a minute counter. The vacuum is so compact that it stores nicely in a very small area. Yet, it cleans like a full sized vacuum cleaner. It is sleek and doesn’t stand out if you want to store it outside of a closet. In addition to the floating carpet tool, there is a low-reach adapter included that basically makes this flat. I can clean for close to 1 foot under my couches without moving the furniture. This was such a well thought out design. I never enjoy moving the couches and now I no longer need to. The height of the floor tool is low, so it can fit under most couches and beds. There is also a very powerful upholstery spinning head included that easily tackles pet hair and other lint on furniture. It is powerful, yet gentle enough where I wouldn’t have any concerns about it damaging any upholstery. This would also be great for cars, floor mats and seats in an automobile. This tool is in addition to the normal tools such as a dust brush and upholstery tool. Additionally, it includes a Dyson light pipe crevice tool that allows for reaching into narrow spaces allowing you to see what you’re after. The final factor that makes this the best and most intelligent around is the LCD control center. In addition to the battery information, it provides filter maintenance reminders and where a block is located. It even gives directions for clearing the block. In summary, this is the new era of vacuum cleaners. The brush roll is designed to eliminate hair tangles, the information center gives a lot of information and it simply cleans better than anything I have ever owned.

Awesome Intelligent Learning & Powerful suction

Dyson’s new outsize total clean is one of the intelligent, learning full size cordless stick vacuums on the market that is highly powerful, larger and efficient than the previous generation vacuums. It has got 150% bigger bin capacity, 25% bigger cleaner head compared to Dyson V15 detect. We currently own Dyson ball multi floor upright corded vacuum and Dyson V8 stick vacuum and this outreach total clean replaces both of them. With most of the family members staying at home due to pandemic the cleanup/vacuuming is a daily chore and this machine is very efficient in cleaning my entire home that is around 3600sqft with the included removable rechargeable batteries in full charge. We have a mix of 1500 sqft of shiny porcelain tile, 1600 sqft of hardwood floor and 500 sqft of carpet area. To clean the entire home with the upright corded vacuum was not very convenient with the cords and maneuvering was time consuming and the same with stick vacuum where it runs out battery when needed. This model solves both the problems and we find that this as a great solution and fits our needs. What’s in the box: Dyson outsize, High Torque XL cleaner head, 2 battery packs, Low-reach adapter, Light pipe crevice tool, Hair screw tool, Mini soft dusting brush, stubborn dirt brush, combination tool, crevice tool, wand storage clip, docking station, charger, warranty sheet, Manual/Printed User guide (QR code printed inside the box for easy online user guide option). Design: Dyson new outsize total clean is similar to last year model (V11 outsize) that has LCD Screen, full size cleaner head and full-size bin that was designed to clean the entire home faster in single pass without the need for charging (in eco mode). It features Hyperdymium motor and High Torque XL cleaner head for powerful suction and deep cleaning without the need of changing the cleaning head for different floor types. High Torque XL cleaner head features DLS (dynamic Load Sensor) technology that spins the brush bar to intelligently senses and adapts to different floor types like hardwood, tile or carpet without the need to change any settings or pushing buttons. Also, larger 12.68” XL cleaner head adjusts power automatically with its stiff nylon bristles to remove deep down dirt on carpets, while anti-static fiber filaments remove fine dust on hard wood floors. Compared to my V8 this one weighs more due to its full-size bin and it’s not bulky but if you plan to use longer period of time cleaning large homes, hand may get little sore initially until getting used. Setup: Upon unboxing and before using for the first time, its recommended to charge the both batteries to 100% (takes around 4.5hours for full charge). Setup is very easy, just click the wand and XL cleaner head to the unit and its ready to use. On the cleaner head, there is a red toggle switch and is recommended to set at the middle setting for everyday cleanups of larger debris and fine dust. You can also select from three different cleaning modes (Eco, Auto, Boost) by just clicking the LCD screen. LCD screen reports performance in real time and this machine will calibrate within one hour of first use. It’s a learning machine that continuously improves performance depending on the floors and usage. LCD screen is very intuitive and shows current power mode (eco, auto, boost), battery time remaining to clean based on the power mode, visual indication of machine blockage and the video tutorials of how to fix it or wash filters and for filter maintenance remainders. To achieve longer runtime and for extended cleaning select eco mode and for intensive cleaning select boost mode. Keep in mind boost mode offers highest suction but consumes high battery and not suitable for cleaning larger areas. Up to 60 minutes of cleaning in a single full charge is advertised based on the eco mode setting and the time will differ on the floors. The best setting for optimize cleaning is auto mode that intelligently adapts suction between floor types and suction power accordingly. This machine also functions similar to previous model by pressing down the trigger on the handle. No switch to just keep it on and this is to save battery life and increase run time. After using V8 vacuum for years, this one is very powerful with the larger bin, removable battery, LCD screen, full size high torque XL cleaner head and very well outperforms the corded full-size machines. With no cords and the need not to recharge the battery in the middle of cleaning or empty the bin it saves time and the vacuum chore is no longer cumbersome. With the point and shoot bin makes it very easy to eject dirt into the garbage. The biggest feature is the advanced filtration which captures 99.9% of smaller particles of up to 0.3 microns. As mentioned earlier, this machine weighs little more compared to V8 due to full size bin Newly included attachments like hair tool and light pipe crevice tool are worth mentioning compared to the previous models. NEW Hair tool is very well engineered with an anti-tangle conical brush bar that removes hair from plush carpets and upholstery very easily. Light pipe crevice tool is super cool with LED that lights up to see dark narrow spaces and is helpful when combined with the low-reach adapter tool for reaching under the bed or couch by adjusting the wand up to 90 degrees to clean. Very useful tool attachments and love it. Low reach adapter tool and light pipe crevice tool comes only with Total Clean model and costs $49 extra compared to the outsize that does include both these tools and is definitely worth for cleaning hard to reach areas. Battery Life: This model comes with 2 battery packs for additional run time. This rechargeable seven-cell nickel-cobalt-aluminum battery is removable and is engineered to clean the entire home with run time of around 60 minutes in eco mode, 40 minutes in auto mode. Again, it depends on the floor type and the run time may differ based on the usage. But if both are fully charged for sure you can finish completing the cleanup without any interruptions. Both batteries do take around 4.5 hours for full charge. Battery charger is included to charge the spare battery and it also can be charged in the docking station. Bottomline: If you are in the market for new cordless vacuum and have large home or space to clean without the hassle of cords with different floor types like mine with kids or pets then this machine will not disappoint and be a good investment besides saving time and convenience. This may not be for everyone given the high price point but with Dyson’s quality and customer support it will pay back in longer run for the investment. Few drawbacks are noise level at boost setting, price for total clean model and the total weight compared to previous gen models.

To begin with.. I like that It is cordless. Although there are other cordless vacuums, for possibly half the cost, this one is totally worth it. The suction on it is great, has several different type of attachments for different types of vacuuming you might need to do. The waste basket is the perfect size and the battery last. Plus, it comes with two. So you just have to switch them out every once a while!

I originally wasn't interested in purchasing a cordless vacuum, but after a good conversation with both the Dyson rep and the Best Buy sales associate, I decided to go with this model. It has been a few weeks since my purchase and I can honestly say that I am extremely impressed with the performance of this vacuum. I always believed that cordless vacuums wouldn't perform as well as the traditional upright models... WRONG. The first time I vacuumed my apartment floor, I had a full canister of dirt and dust. EW! I'm thoroughly impressed with the suction and the ease of use. Furthermore, the attachments that come within the packaging are great. I can switch the attachments with ease and finish cleaning a little quicker. My only complaint with this vacuum (and most cordless vacuums for that matter) is the trigger. While the trigger isn't a huge deal when vacuuming small spaces, it becomes a royal pain when you have a large area to clean. Overall, not a big deal... nothing a well-placed zip-tie can't fix.
