Thanks to my current work schedule, I can not get to an outside gym as much as I usually do, so finding a small treadmill for my garage was my goal. After using it, I find that the Echelon - Stride 30 Sport Smart is a solid choice for garage gyms, small spaces, and apartments because of the unique folding design. When first setting it up, I got worried since there were no paper instructions and thought they were forgotten, but paper instructions were not included. You have to scan the code and download the app for digital instructions. After that, you choose the model number of the treadmill which brings up video or text directions. Putting it together was fairly easy even though some screws are not marked, but I figured out what specific screws to use just by looking at the size difference on instructions. Once I got to the creating an account part, so it can be registered for warranty purposes, I ran into a snag. It prompts you to sign up for membership with no way of creating an Echelon account without a membership and this is the only gripe I have. Also, you cannot use the Echelon Fit app without creating an account first if you decide to download from your phone's app store. Since I have no plans for signing up for a membership, a bit disappointed I can't even register the device, but on the plus side, you can still run the treadmill manually without any membership. The treadmill has a max speed of 12 miles per hour and a max incline of 10%. I mainly do a quick walk for my workout but did run on it at max speed and the machine really doesn’t shake. The belt cushioning seems to be sufficient. Since I'm using the machine without using the app. There are eight built-in treadmill workouts, including standard options like hills and intervals. So really, if you don’t want to pay for a subscription, you don’t have to. The machine would work just fine without it but I’ll get into the details of the Echelon app in a bit. Overall, it does what it needs to do for my 6ft 225 frame while not taking up much space in my garage.

    Great treadmill, terrible instructions

I wanted a treadmill in the lower end of the price spectrum. That would still last a long time and just overall be a good product. I definitely got that with this treadmill. My fiance has been using it regularly and she's had no issues with it. I really like the automatic incline and the speed buttons are intuitive to use. There is a gradual speed up and slow down whenever a change is made. The one thing I absolutely did not appreciate which I did anticipate from another review was the instructions and the necessity of having a paid subscription to even just access the instruction video. I agree with having video instructions instead of paper ones because I think it saves paper and can be more helpful. But I ended up having to look up a video on YouTube which wasn't that descriptive at all. It was the manufacturer's video that I assume would have been through their app had I paid for it. It was not descriptive and did not specify the sizes of bolts or take the time to clearly show where they go. It is easy to figure out with a little trial and error. It probably took me 45 minutes to get it out of the box and into a functional state which wasn't too bad. But I'm still just upset with the fact that the instructions are the way they are. Overall, I do recommend it is a nice treadmill and it doesn't take up much space since it folds up. I measured it and it's about 30" of horizontal space when it's folded. I recommend if you're not looking to pay $2,000 for the absolute top tier. I'm thinking this one is going to last a long time and I opted for the Best buy protection plan because it's only $65 for 3 years which is a good guarantee for me.

Buy this treadmill! Setting it up was super easy only took 30mins. The tools they provided were great! The instructions can be found in youtube. CAUTION: If you live alone get someone to help out because the walking pad is heavy so youll need help moving it around. Now the incline doesnt feel like the 12 incline from the gym treadmills it feels more like a 7incline. But still really good. The walking pad is long enough for me, i like that i dont have to take short strides in order to walk in it like other walking pads (im 5’6 btw) the only thing that kinda bothered me was the width of the arms, theyre too close to each other and when you walk your arms tend to hit it. The machine is pretty tall 5’3 or so; thought itd be shorter. My 12in ipad fit comfortably and secure in the comparment on top. Im able to watch my videos while i walk and it doesnt shake at all ( i walk at a 3 speed and 5incline). The amount of space it takes is minimal if you live in an apartment this would still fit in. You can even fold it up once youre done using it. Dont forget to lubricate the belt every 3 months if not every 100 so miles.

Love this treadmill. My 75 years old father use it. My husband and I also uses it with the incline. No need to have and account or sign it up with echelon.

Its compact, foldable design makes it perfect for small spaces, and the cushioned deck provides a comfortable running experience. The treadmill is easy to assemble and use, with a simple interface that allows you to quickly start your workout. The Echelon Stride 30 comes with a variety of features that make it stand out from other treadmills in its price range. The 10% incline feature allows you to increase the intensity of your workout, while the 12 mph maximum speed is more than enough for most runners. My only complaint is that the arm rails are a bit tight and my apple watch strikes the rail sometimes. Overall, I'd pick this up when on sale for $499 or less.

This is the first treadmill I’ve ever owned and I a very pleased with it! It is an excellent starter treadmill. Incline and speed controls are efficient. It’s a bit loud, but my headphone block out any noise it makes. Installation and setup was very easy. The mechanism to lower the tread is a bit finicky and does not work with a simple kick, I have to use a hand too, but it doesn’t bother me. I’d like to upgrade someday to a peloton tread with the screen and all the bells and whistles, but this is an excellent treadmill for anyone not wanting to spend a ton of money.

GREAT TREADMILL HORRIBLE AND DANGEROUS INSTRUCTION

GREAT TREADMILL HORRIBLE AND DANGEROUS INSTRUCTIONS! I purchased the treadmill for my mother who needed to start walking at home, she wasn't getting enough exercise per her doctor so I took the plunge. That being said, I like to think I am a semi intelligent person, and have put many things together in my 50+ years on this earth. The treadmill didn't come with instructions, I used the QR code supplied, opened the vid on my phone and started. I opened the box pulled all the packing material, parts and plastics out and put them on the floor. All that was left was the treadmill in the bottom of the box. Knowing the treadmill was heaviest at the front I picked up the unit to pull it from the box. When I lifted the treadmill the hydrolic tread stand locked in place with my fingers in between the pieces of metal in the front. The instant pain shot through me, I immediately tried to pull my fingers out, with only the index and ring finger left sandwiched in between the metal. Now about 2 minutes in my fingers were turning white and I had to yell to get some help to get something to pry the metal apart to get my fingers out. That being said about 4 minutes I got a hammer and jacked the metal apart to release my fingers. It has been over a week and my fingertips are still numb. Anyway I finished the treadmill later that day and it works fine for her. I am not sure if this has happened to anyone else or if this might help others not do this, please be careful putting this machine together! It needs BETTER instuctions and labeling to show pinch points for safety.

    HORRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS AND WOBBLY FRAME

You have to scan a qr code to download the instructions from the website. The first step of the instructions told me to use screws that aren't even listed anywhere in the instructions. Fortunately, I have a brain and tools so I was able to figure out which screws in the box I had to use on each step. You also have to connect all these little wires while putting it together. After putting it together, the arms are wobbly, so I'll have to take it apart tonsee what I did wrong!!!!

Purchased product originally on 6/29/2024. Product arrived 7/5/2024 defective and missing parts. I requested a return and a refund as well. I reached out to the manufacturer to no avail so I then turned to Best Buy and requested a return and refund. It has been an absolute nightmare ever since. I asked for an actual timeframe on when I can expect this defective item to be picked up and was never given a scheduled time and then rudely hung up on by one of the customer support agents. The customer service at Best Buy is lacking and extremely rude. Do not buy, it is a complete nightmare to get the item returned or to actually speak with a representative. Shop at Best Buy at your own risk. Buyer beware.

If I could give this ZERO stars, I would. Do not buy anything from Echelon. I brought their stride treadmill and it is such a poor quality machine. I am an avid runner and I can’t depend on this treadmill. My first one broke 3 times in the first year. They would send me control panels because they claimed that would fix the problem. It did for a few weeks and then it would break again. Eventually they send me a new treadmill per the warranty. Guess what- that broke 6 months later. Now I am technically out of their 1 year warranty window even though my new treadmill is only 6 months old. They could care less. I tried to write a review on their website, but I am not allowed too because I haven’t been a member for 2 years. No wonder all of their reviews on the site are positive. Check any other website outlet and you will see the truth. DO NOT do business with this company. I will never do so again!
