Bought this system to replace my five year old Google Mesh.
My Google system delivered 900+ MBPs over ethernet and 400 wirelessly.
The Eero Pro 6E never delivers more than 300 via ethernet and delivers 200-300 using Wi-Fi. I tried swapping the primary ethernet cable as well as using different ports. The results never changed.
I contacted support and they said my setup is bad. When I reconnected Google, regardless of the ethernet cable, the speeds doubled across the board. For reference, I attached screen shots of my download speed at the router with Eero and without.
I'll be returning this system and don't recommend acquisition.

To do basic address block you have to have a subscription. Most of the app function are locked behind the subscription service. Other than then most basic here you ip automatic connect info. All the subpage in the insterface was monthly/yearly subscription asking for credit card or cash card. (No joke) returning product to local best buy. Going back to my 8year router with better options without needing subscription.

THE REASON I DON’T GIVE IT A 5 STAR, IS BECAUSE I REALLY DON’T SEE ANY IMPROVEMENT IN OUR HOME INTERNET, I HAD TO GO BACK TO MY ORIGINAL ROUTERS WHEN POOR SIGNAL.

it’s ok. But I need more time to test to make sure it’s good.

Overkill for sure as there are only a few 6E compatible devices out in the market during the writing of this review but it’s always good to future proof.
Pros:
*Easy setup
*App is fantastic
*Fast and reliable
*Can easily match décor
Cons:
*Can be pricey
*Only 2 ethernet ports on each Eero
Don’t let the small device fool you. These mesh routers are small in size but large on performance. The 3-pack is advertised to cover most homes up to 6k in sq ft and I believe it. I have a modest 3500 sq ft home and there are zero dead spots in my house with the 3 pack, one on each floor of my home.
Setup is a piece of cake. The app is intuitive and I was able to setup all 3 Mesh wifi in 15 minutes. They suggest renaming your new Eero to the same name as your last WiFi router so you can save yourself the headache of setting up all your smart devices to your new network. The only thing I do wish for future versions is a smaller plug so it doesn’t take up 2 outlet spots on my power-strips. Once setup, the app prompted me to do a firmware update.
The speeds are amazing. It’s advertised at speeds up to 2.5 Gbps hardwired and 1.3 Gbps wireless. In real world results, the best I got was 700 Gbps with WiFi to my iPhone 14 pro (sitting in the same room as the Mesh) and 950 Gbps hardwired with my 1.2 Gbps internet speeds from Xfinity. These are blazing speeds compared to my last Orbi Wifi that didn’t have Wifi 6 or even Wifi 6E capabilities.
The app is fantastic and that’s a night and day difference between the Eero and anything made by netgear. Not only is the Eero app intuitive, I’m able to see in real time data usage by device, pause devices and even see which device is connected to which Eero. My phone seamlessly connects to the Eero that has the strongest signal. There is a paid version of Eero that would give you a VPN, pop up blocker and more detailed history of your internet usage but I find the free version of the Eero more than suffice. At the time of this review, the upgraded app software is $99 a year.
I do recommend this Eero pro 6E to anyone looking to future proof their WiFi Mesh network. Even though 6 Ghz is not widely available, being able to future proof yourself is a good idea. This wifi system will support some of the fastest speeds and with a fantastic app. Bonus if you’re in the amazon eco system, although not required. Plenty of new Amazon devices comes with Eero compatibility to allow Echo Dots, etc to act like WiFi extenders.

Converted from Breezline Eeros to these hassle free. Only issue I have is that one of them seems to be a bit warm as if getting too hot. The others aren’t as warm.

I have always heard good things about the Eero Wifi devices so I was excited to finally have one. So far I have found it to be a big improvement!
PROS:
- Unboxing these, I really like the size and style of them! They are a subtle low profile design and I like how it does not feel too bulky. Each device definitely has some premium weight to it and I like it.
- Setup was overall a breeze! Any of the 3 devices can be the “main” device, so just set up the first one and they connect the other two! The App makes it easy and overall was a nice process.
- The biggest perk about this new mesh system is its speed and that is on two fronts. First, it has 2.5 gbps Ethernet port so it can take in those high levels of speeds! Second, it is a Tri-Band router meaning it produces a 2.4Ghz for older devices, 5Ghz for most devices, and 6Ghz for faster newer devices.
- I really like the WiFi 6E on this as well! It’s an even better version of WiFi 6 and really helps manage the increasing amount of WiFi devices we have in our home.
- These are also great for smart home support! They have Thread and Zigbee built in, and have also said to support matter as well. Of course matter is still very new given it just rolled out a few weeks ago, but it’s still a great future proof piece of tech that will help connect your smart home even better.
- On of course, getting to the results: the speed is fantastic! I have tested really solid speeds on my devices, no gaps in my coverage, and overall I have been really happy with the solid performance!
CONS:
- I wish each Eero device had more Ethernet ports. Each only has 1 in and 1 out.
- The Eero app needs some work still. It feels too bulky and pushes you to try out its paid subscriptions as well. I mean you do not have to really ever touch the app once you are all set up if you do not want to, but I hope that Amazon / Eero makes some better improvements to this app.
BOTTOM LINE:
- Homes are relying more and more on quality WiFi as more devices become “smart”. The Eero Pro 6E is a great way to cover these needs! It has 3 bands for older to brand new devices, supports various standards for your smart home, and is blazing fast. I think they can still make some software related improvements but overall the hardware is fantastic and gives you reliable fast Wifi!

I recently upgraded my home Wi-Fi setup and couldn't be happier with my choice of the eero Pro 6E mesh router. Toward the end of last year, I was struggling with slow internet speeds and frequent lag. After some research, I decided to purchase the eero Pro 6E three-pack, and it has transformed my online experience.
User-Friendly Setup
One of the standout features of the eero Pro 6E is its user-friendly design. You don’t need to be tech-savvy to get it up and running. Following the straightforward instructions, I was able to optimize my Wi-Fi in no time. The eero app is a game-changer, providing insights into my network usage and performance, making it easy to understand what I was getting from my ISP.
Impressive Speed and Reliability
Initially, I upgraded my internet service from Spectrum to their one gig service, and with the eero, I saw download speeds of 986 Mbps and upload speeds of 40 Mbps. This was already a significant improvement, but I wanted to maximize my network even further. So, I switched to Hawaiian Telcom's one gig fiber service, and now I'm enjoying incredible speeds of 980 Mbps for downloads and a remarkable 678 Mbps for uploads.
Enhanced Performance Across Multiple Devices
With a house full of wireless devices, including security systems and multiple 4K streaming setups, I was concerned about maintaining performance. The eero Pro 6E has exceeded my expectations, delivering seamless connectivity without buffering, even when streaming in multiple rooms or engaging in online gaming. The speed and reliability have made a noticeable difference in my daily internet usage.
Final Thoughts
In summary, I highly recommend the eero Pro 6E. It has not only resolved my Wi-Fi issues but also enhanced my overall internet experience. If you're looking for a robust, user-friendly mesh router that can handle high-speed internet and multiple devices, look no further than the eero Pro 6E. I’m thrilled with my purchase!
