Excellent game. Game looks great, huge open world, very challenging, and plenty to do. Only thing is i wish there was a more distinct story line

So far i am loving the game! Beautiful landscapes and unforgiving enimies! Havent had a good challenge like this in a while!

It's a 10/10 game, so long as you know what you're getting into. As per usual with FromSoft, the gameplay is there and top notch, as is the lore... but the storytelling itself is pretty suboptimal. By this I mean that even if you use a guide, by which I mean 50 guides, for all the narrative threads available, you're STILL going to have a hard time keeping track of them. I legitimately don't know how anyone completed any of those NPC quests. The steps to progress most of them are beyond obtuse. I guess you could say they're very throwback, like to the days where GameStop would sell you Strategy Guides instead of season passes or whatever DLC. Also, I've always found From's games to be more grindy than "challenging" (except for Sekiro which isn't an RPG), but Elden Ring takes it to the next level. Someone told me "it's not grinding, it's exploring", but that's just masking the grind. If you try to "not-explore" that big open world, you're going to have a bad time. At best, you'll wind up spending hours against every boss you encounter... so you ought as well grind that open world and enjoy it. The game is huge. I'm saying it's a 10/10, but your results may vary. It's a 10/10 for what it sets out to be. I strongly recommend the Xbox version in offline mode, so you have Quick Resume and don't have a bunch of messages spoiling everything, everywhere. I wonder if From has DLC planned for this, because it's insanely beefy.

This is a seriously great game! Gorgeous, difficult, full of exploration and an excellent combat system. Give it a shot!

It's not a perfect game and I know some people have had some performance issues, but it's a fantastic blend of Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro. I'm not usually a fan of open world games and I can't say that Elden Ring necessarily changes that, but the world is so unique, full of life and jaw droppingly gorgeous that I always want to explore it. There is so much content here, it's hard to fathom and while not everything works, what does work is some of the best work From Software has ever created.

Elden ring is a top tier game. Very deserving of its game of the year award. I spent hundreds of hours on this game and none of it felt wasted. Every minute was spent absorbing the world and honing my ability to find success against some of the most challenging encounters of any video game. With such a large world my only criticisms involve the reuse of boss assets. Occasional bosses would just be the same as a previous boss, and sometimes early bosses would show up later as regular enemies. With the amount of enemy diversity you can’t blame them, but just something that stood out in an otherwise flawless gaming experience. My only other criticism is that the game almost felt TOO long. At about 100 hours I thought I was close to the end and found out that I instead was only about 2/3 of the way through. It took me over a month of playing every night to get through it, which is a task in itself to just find the time. Anyways, play this game. It has a high skill curve, which starts early, but if you stick it out you will be rewarded with a gaming experience that will be talked about for the next decade, easy.

Wow, what an experience. I didn't think the game would live up to the hype, I even quit becasue it was quite a challenge at the beginning, but the game is a masterpeice. So detailed, gorgeous, and fun to explore. Although challenging, it never feels like the game is punishing its players. I highly recommended the game to all, new gamers, and masters.

Elden Ring is visually stunning and the story is captivating. The difficulty, however, is intense. Expect to be killed again and again and lose any progress since the last save point. It can be extremely frustrating to play for hours and only make it a few minutes into the story. For someone like me who has limited time for games, it was not worth the effort. If you do have the time, it is rewarding. I have watched my son pour hours and hours into the game and the story is still captivating every time I watch. If you have the time and the patience, I recommend the game but if you are a casual gamer or don't have a lot of time you may want to skip this one.

Great game. Difficulty is high with a steep learning curve. Rewards perseverance. Visuals are astounding.

Maybe not my type of game because of the difficulty and steep learning curve. But I can definitely appreciate the amount of effort and beauty that this game has. Absolutely gorgeous.

Absolutely amazing visuals and gameplay one of the best additions to the souls series

This my first entry into the series and I am glad i bought the game. Currently my son is playing it and is loving it. I will say its very hard so plan on dying a lot but take time to explore and level up until you are ready to take on your next enemy. This is an open world game with lots of variety so take your time and explore. Its not a pickup and play right away type game but more of a take your time without interruptions type.

What more can I say but WOW. I never really got into the Dark Souls hands but THIS is a masterpiece. Sure sometimes it's frustrating, but the sheer scale of this game is off the charts. If you love exploring areas in games where you know you shouldn't be.....this is the game for you! It honestly seems endless. I have 150 hours into it and I'm still finding more things to explore in areas I already thought I was done with!

Still my favorite game! I have it for my series X and my PlayStation 5! It’ll never get old to me. There’s so many different characters you can make to journey this visual masterpiece!

I used to hate souls games but after playing Elden Ring I’ve actually gone back and replayed several Dark Souls games and enjoyed them. 10/10 would recommend even to some who hates Dark Souls.

Elden Ring is an awesome mix of open world exploration and classic From Software combat.

If you think you’re good at gaming this game will make you think twice ! Excellent game best boss battles! Get ready to die over and over again! It won game of the year for a reason , if you haven’t played it go ahead and buy it. You won’t regret it
