The Elvie wireless pump system is a life saver! They are easy to charge and to connect to your phone/app. When I am in a hurry I just put them on and set them, then go about my daily life. I can monitor how much milk is in each container directly on the app. Clean up is also a breeze as every piece comes apart from the pump itself and is able to be sterilized or hand washed. The pumps charge up easily and the battery life is good for 2 days or 3-5 pump sessions at a time. This is my second time purchasing the Elvie pumps as I used them with my previous child a few years ago. I highly recommend and would use these again in the future.

I love my pump it does what it needs to do! Yes it leaks like a drop or two of breast milk but not enough to make me want to leave a bad review. I feel like the pump is a little pricey but it gets the job done and i can get stuff done around the house.

I’m not sure if my pumps are defective but they definitely do not do what they are promised. I will return them and see if I can get new ones. 1. Noise load noise enough to wake my baby up. 2. The reading of the milk supply horrible it missed by 1 to 2oz all the time. 3. Leaks it leaks i tried all sizes even bought the smaller size 21mm separately and it still it leaks. 4. Once is at 3oz full they stop thinking it’s full at 6oz. I’m not sure if this is just the experience I been having but definitely does the complete opposite of what they are promise. I do like it’s hands free but everything else sucks since it’s so expensive I expected not to have any issues.

ELVIE = Cordless Freedom for Nursing Mothers

Nursing mothers are tied to their newborns unless they pump and bottle breast milk for use when nursing is not convenient. Elvie Double Pump. $499, can be a game changer. We just had twins. Perfect! **IN THE BOX** Shown in the photo are: • 4 5-oz bottles • 4 bottle lids • 4 valves • 4 seals • 4 spouts • 4 bra adjusters • 2 24mm breast shields • 2 28mm breast shields • 2 hubs • 2 USB charging cables • 2 carrying bags • Instructions with Warranty booklet inside (Not shown) Download the smartphone app for iPhone and Android. **SET UP** Instructions are straightforward and easy to follow. As every body is different, some moms will find the fit requires greater effort in the form of attachments not included nor necessarily available from this manufacturer. This is not a judgment statement, rather it is one of acknowledgment as was learned through trial and error. Charging takes about two hours. Expect about two and one half hours of use at its standard setting. The app is helpful here. The pump will not operate while charging. All but the electric parts are dishwasher safe. Elvie customer service is excellent. The iPhone app is quite helpful, but not entirely accurate in its estimations of volume. Be guided accordingly. The Android app was not evaluated. **REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS** We also learned that Elvie is not necessarily the right appliance to use immediately after giving birth. New moms need to train their body to produce maximum amounts of milk. The procedure as told to me is to nurse, nurse, nurse without assistance of an appliance in the beginning. In so doing, the nursing mom’s body produces necessary hormones signaling the establishment of maximum production. Once the body becomes acclimated to maximum production, then it is appropriate to employ Elvie or any other such device. With twins needing twice the volume of a single birth, this lesson is even more important. For most moms, Elvie will not automatically and initially express the volumes required until after this hormonal kick does its job. Elvie is smart and the app allows a variety of settings from comfort to monitoring output and battery state of charge. Another app benefit is the ability to apply firmware upgrades to the pumps for feature updates, upgrades and other enhancements, always of benefit. And as all bodies are different, some moms will find it necessary to use pads and other go-betweens for best fit of Elvie to the breast in order for Elvie to work at its maximum potential. **PAST THE LEARNING CURVE** Now at the point at which Elvie can perform its full potential, it’s time to let Elvie do what it does while allowing moms to go about their lives unencumbered by a connection to wires and tubes. Elvie fits discreetly in the bra so it is possible to pump virtually anywhere. Silent, electric and cordless, Moms can move about as needed without the time-consuming process of direct nursing when inconvenient. This is the promise delivered by Elvie. **WORTHWHILE INVESTMENT** Elvie makes nursing twins more manageable with each passing day. For the months of nursing yet ahead, our new mom breathes a sigh of relief on a daily basis. She pumps to build a reserve of ready-to-go bottles so she can live a more normal life of work and leisure time. With her Elvie on the job, she’s assured that the twins will get all the nourishment needed from the best source until they are ready to be weaned from mother’s milk to other foods. Elvie Pump is covered by the manufacturer’s two-year warranty.

    Best Breast Pump Ever!

Being a busy mother out and about, it is difficult to breastfeed while on the go. The elvie pump is perfect for on-the-go and multitasking moms. Having a portable, rechargeable breast pump with no need of a special bra or connected wires, this is what a nursing mom needs! The Elvie double pack breast pump comes with all of its essentials. Among the most notable inclusions are 2 rechargeable pumps, 4 plastic storage bottles with lids (bottles are BPA free, 5oz), 4 breast shields (2-24mm and 2-28mm, based on nipple size), 4 bra adjusters (smart and unique!), 2 carrying bags (fits one hub/pump fully assembled in each) and 2 charging cables (no charging adapter/cube included). According to Elvie, each breast pump charges in 2 hours and lasts about 2 and a half hours depending on the pump intensity setting used. There's 2 modes for pumping, stimulation and expression modes. In addition to this, there are 7 different intensity settings based on how fast you would like to pump and your comfort. The clean-up is easy and doesn't require much time to wash bottle/pump parts. Now for the experience. The convenience of a "wireless" Bluetooth pump (pumps since they're technically 2) is great; you can pump anywhere, effortlessly, with no mess, while doing anything. You only need to put the pump where it goes (no need for an explanation), turn on the pump, and are able to manage the intensity and start/stop it from there. The pump really does it all for you, except put the milk away. The pumps are discreet, easy to use, and fits in with the bra you already wear (fit well with mine). In addition to the no wires feature of the pump, if you download the Elvie app, you're able to connect the pumps to your phone, press start/stop, and it even helps you monitor the milk amount, plus how much you've pumped and for how long. The battery lasts for several pumping sessions and the app also helps notify when the battery is low. The app is a great addition! I highly recommend this pump to new moms. Save yourself the trouble of washing so many different parts to a pump and you can do it from anywhere, even work! Also, let this pump help you calculate your pumping times and milk production. After trying Elvie, it is now all I will recommend. I have also included a link of quick little preview of the Elvie pumps fully assembled. https://youtu.be/nr2XuJRBvGI Note: While I am not the direct user of the pump (my wife was), I was helped in the review process by my wife. Comments regarding this review were made by her but in conjunction with myself.

My wife is a NICU nurse who works 12 hour shifts, so being able to pump while working is a game-changer. Pumping breast milk for a child is one of the most important gifts a mother can give to her child so those that take the effort to do it know how important it is to them to deal with the hassle of having to manage pumping at work. Also being able to pump while working allows her to enjoy her breaks without having to spend most of it pumping. My wife already purchased the Willow pumping system so she was extremely excited when I asked her if she wanted to try out the Elvie since she was on the fence about which system to choose. Here’s her feedback on the main differences between the two. -Her immediate feedback was that the Elvie was SIGNIFICANTLY lighter and smaller. Elvie was also quieter and gentler than the Willow. -Elvie is the better value, since it has 2 sets of reusable containers included while the Willow the extra set has to be purchased separately. -Willow is leak proof with bags, Elvie is not compatible with bags and can leak if you move around a lot. The Willow bags are an additional disposable expense however. -Willow has stronger suction, which will generally mean faster pumping results. -Willow app shows progress on how much milk was pumped, while the Elvie only shows amount at the end. Both are approximate and not completely accurate. -Willow app can’t turn the pump on or off, the Elvie allows you to pause and start as long as you turn the power on. -Willow has 1 AC adapter and is easier to plug in and charges very quickly. The battery can last an entire 12 hour shift. The Elvie comes with 2 micro-usb (annoying, should be usb-c) cables so you need to provide AC adapters or a wall plug adapter. You can charge with any micro-usb with a power source though which is a plus. Elvie does not last as long however, after 2 pumping sessions it needs to be charged again. Overall, my wife feels the Elvie is the better value overall and is also the more comfortable to use since it is both significantly smaller and lighter. My wife is able to use it at work and never have to step off the floor, it is small and quiet enough so that people don’t notice while she’s pumping. Neither is a true replacement for a traditional pump with flanges and tubes however if you want to maximize milk production, but for moms who are back at work and on the go, whether its in an office, hospital, driving Uber etc. this is hard to beat!!!

This review is courtesy of my wife as I lack the, uh, equipment to properly test this out. I hope Elvie is the beginning of the end. The end of bulky, noisy, cumbersome, restraining breast pumps. Pumps that lock you down to the back seat of your car, tiny bathroom stall at work, or confined to your chair at home, waiting on these machines to empty your soul, I mean breasts, so you can return to whatever it is you were doing before you started leaking like Niagara Falls. The most NOTICEABLE feature about these pumps? You DON’T notice them. I literally shove them in my bra and carry on doing paperwork, fold laundry, go for a walk, even pick up groceries while these were on. I was pumping gas while I was pumping milk at the same time. I got a kick out of that. Are they quiet? Sorta, but mostly Yes. You can definitely talk on the phone or walk around noisy areas (think shopping at stores playing holiday music), but you and others will be able to hear them in a quiet room. It’s a soft noise, almost a bit soothing. They have a smooth, mounded shape. When you slip them into your bra, only you can tell that they are there. I could not see them in the mirror from the front or the side. Of course, there will be some extra projection with them in your bra, but not like double-bubble level of distraction. I was able to fit these comfortably in my nursing bra, a sports bra, and a regular underwire bra (that was slightly bigger in the cups). There was no problem with them shifting, even when I bent down to pick up toys and laundry on the floor. The suction on these are good. You can vary the speed, but not the depth of the suction. I use a small dab of Lanolin Balm on my areolas prior to putting these on. I highly, highly, highly recommend to always have some nipple butter on hand, no matter what breast pump you choose. This will protect your skin from getting sore and cracked. I find it also adds a better suction/glide while pumping. The Elvie App is very useful. I had no problems connecting on my Samsung Galaxy S10+ phone. Although you can start, stop, vary speed, turn on/off straight off each pump, the app can do all this for you in a discreet manner if you are out and about and/or can’t be bothered to go digging in your bra to press buttons. The app also tracks your ounces (an estimation that you can adjust), but I am not one to track my ounces. I mostly used the app to start/stop the pumps. Don’t forget to install the firmware/software upgrades. It’s easy to put the Elvie together and a breeze to empty the collection base. It doesn’t have a million little parts to track and clean. Each base holds 5 oz. If you’re a bountiful gal, you might be pausing once or twice to empty and refill. But it’s so easy to use, you probably won’t mind! Push the button on the front to release the collection base, empty the base, click back on, keep pumping. Cleaning is just as easy. Also, you can order different sized shields to better fit your breasts if the 2 sizes included with the pump are not the correct size. This is important if you notice the Elvie does not feel comfortable or you production seems off. A smaller or bigger size may make all the difference. If you use these for long periods of time (more than 15-20 mins) you will notice the pumps get quite warm. You don’t notice it while you’re pumping, but afterwards when you hold the pumps in your hand, you notice the heat. So far, these have not affected the pumps and I can not feel the heat when I’m wearing them, so I think this is okay (afterall, it IS a pump machine). Some days I pumped 4x for 20 mins each. They seem to hold their charge all day at that rate. If you pump less than that, your charge may last longer! Also, a major con for me is that they can only be charged through Micro-USB! The charging cords are a decent length (maybe 3 or 4 ft) and you get 2 cords so you can charge both pumps at the same time. I wish these were USB-Type C, but not a deal breaker. There are a couple of lights on the pumps. The play button and a light that indicates if you want this pump to be on the right or left breast. Originally these were quite bright and you could see them through my shirt, but an update to the pump firmware gives you an option to turn the brightness down and this was very much appreciated. Overall, the sheer convenience of being able to live my life AND discreetly pump at the same time makes these absolutely the best gift any mother could get while her littles are draining her life force those first few years.

This is the neatest breast pump. I like it bevause i have the option to walk around the house and do other taks, all while pumping. It will leak if i move around too much. I was worried how it would work out for me, as i am rather busty. It works fine with a good supportive bra. It aays it holds 5 ounces, but ive yet to have it hold more than 4. It shuta off automatically when it detected the containers are full. It is super quiet. I have used it several times in restaurants and the grocery store without anyone even knowing. It is perfect for me because we are on the go a lot and i also will use this whenever i return to work after my maternity leave is over. I will say, I have a spectra s2 that i use as my primary pump, and honestly it gets the job done in half the time as this elvie, but i dont always have the availability to sit and be tied to a cord pump. Somestimes the elvoe does have trouble getting the suction and i do have to take it out of my bra to make sure all the pieces, as well as making sure my breast and nipple are in just the right spot, once i do that it does fine. Also, the suction on this thing is powerful, fyi.

The amount of thought and care put into designing everything in this kit makes the price worth it and then some. The design and aesthetics of everything is clean and crisp looking and feeling. Everything goes together with ease and a little patience. There are a lot of pieces and parts to the kit. Everything except for the charging part is dishwasher safe and breaks down so every piece and part is sure to be cleaned and is even able to be sterilized. This is crucial when feeding our little one to be sure nothing harmful is ingested or passed through to him through this system When pumping the Elvie is very comfortable and doesn't feel mechanical on the nipple. No soreness at all. We loved how discreet it was when pumping. You could hardly tell they were even on except for the light that displays when you turn them on. Gives a whole new definition to " hey your headlights are on" haha But on a serious note it frees your hands up and gives you the freedom of mobility while pumping with no tubes or cords connected like other setups..So you're free to multitask or tend to your little one. The app was really well made too but when reading levels or milk we had pumped it didn't seem to be that accurate. The accessories included again added to their thoughtfulness and eye to detail of what a mother would need to nurse. I added a picture of a list of everything included in the box rather than show everything included and not know what was what. Since the thickness of the pumps fills your bra even more they added bra extenders to give you more room when you are wearing these pumps. It has neat little caps to cover the bladders that the milk drains into while pumping so you can put them directly into the fridge . The ingenuity and care for a mother put into these really sold me and I'd highly recommend them to others

These are great not having to be attached to a wall. However, there is a learning curve and quite a bit of trial and error. And if you lean forward too much or if your bra is too tight or too lose they will leak. Also if you have a strong letdown the green discs will get wet and lose suction. BUT it’s nice to be able to pump and not be secluded from other and they’re a life saver now that I’m back to work.

So I have a 3 week old and have been using the Spectra S1 exclusively. But burping a baby while pumping with cords is infuriating. I love this hands free cordless pump so much that I can’t even explain it. I can easily care for my baby walk around out away dishes all while pumping. The power light does show through a shirt when you wear one over it (I’m sure you could put tape over to cover it). And it’s not completely soundless. I am a dental hygienist and my patients would be able to hear the pumping noise but if you just sat at a desk I think this would be ideal

Im not one to write reviews so I apologize in advance. This pump has CHANGED MY LIFE. I gave birth only 5 days ago and felt like the pump that was sent to me by insurance was holding me back from so much. I was constantly hidden away to pump while missing out on time with friends/family and our baby. This morning, I realized I had to pump again and felt myself getting sad and delaying it because I didn't want to be stuck to the outlet holding a pump to my chest... I decided that I was going to splurge and get an Elvie. I pumped with it and oh my goodness! The amount of pain I had with Elvie compared to the Madela was minimal. I was shocked. I also produced more with the Elvie than I did with the other pump. I loved being able to move around, hold my baby, and pump around other people while it being so discreet and also so very quiet. Future mama's please spoil yourself and get this and future dads, please spoil your wife/spouse/significant other and get her this. I promise itll change their life!

I love this pump! Super portable, I even pump in the car on the way to work, it’s so easy and discreet. Cons are that the pumps will stop because the app thinks the bottles are full when they are not, and when you pay $500 for a pump, you should get socket adaptors, not just usb wires!!!

I love the convenience of being able to continue my usual routine while pumping. I don’t have to be stuck in one place. The only thing that I do not like about these pumps is that they leak very easily when you bend or move too quickly. My sessions usually end with the inside of my bra being wet when I forget.
